  1. Porto gift BAyern the tie back. But where there is boateng there is hope
  2. Thought the same, he once completely robbed us in 2007, I was 100% sure they would get the penalty and was already comforting myself that a 1-1 draw still has us in pole position. And yes he did hit the camera the clip is a one or two pages back. Utd are a classless bunch of twats including their manager. Instead of conceding that we were completely superior to them and risticted them to a couple of half chances without even giving maximum effort. LvG and his "title not our objective, most important thing is improving every week"-underdog narrative is so Bullshit. Today the smallest squad of the EPL assembled for a positive net spend comfortably beat the biggest and most expensive squad ever assembled in the history of English football. This is the story. We have been on top of them for years now, not because we have more money, but because Chelsea has and forms the better coaches, the better executives, the better footballers, the better men.

  4. Practically winning at the Emirates will win us the title, as Utd and Arsenal still have to play each other in the clash of wannabes
  5. so sweet seeing Utd fall again at the bridge. all too easy in the end. Iva was a beast today, defensively. except two occasions he always won the duels against their wingers, despite being heavily targetted. Fellaini, Rooney never got a sniff at goal either. Cahill and JT were excellent, FAbregas really put in a shift and Hazard is on a different planet. Great win, great performance. United controlled the ball and we controlled Utd. That is how you win a big game and outfox Van Gaal. Vintage Mourinho, Vintage Chelsea. NO complaints KTBFFH.
  6. any other player in our squad and this would have been 2-0
  7. highlight of the game so far, cesc winning an aerial duel against fellaini
  8. good game so far. not great but good. Utd are completely under control. De gea should be off for handling the ball outside the box. Shame Remy could not make the game, it would have been a field day for a counter attacking striker like him. So Mourinho does not even try to play on the counter. So far it looks like a christmas tree or a very narrow 4-2-3-1. IMO we have enough height in the team, no need for a striker at all.
  9. Confirmed. Bayern crumbling here. Without the magical doc Müller wohlfahrt none of their injured players will make the Porto game. Bayern fans side with the doctor and start to undermine pep big time. Some demand him and his bunch of Spaniards to be sacked. Some really nice words (doping-pep, psychopath) being thrown around in Bayern forums. I pray this is gonna be a meltdown like in 2003 which saw Bayern relegated into mediocrity and european pedestrians for almost a decade. Exactly where this shit club belongs. Unlikely to happen but one can dream.
  10. Personally I don't even fear any of their players. But I am wary of what Louis van Gaal has turned this ManUtd side into. Bar Blind and Herrera, the Utd team that won 4-2 vs City is almost the same like the one that was lucky to only lose 3-1 at Stamford Bridge last season. Their outfield players are not special. Falcao, Di maria are out of form and not even playing, Rvp is aging (and injured?), Rooney IMO has not been the force he used to be since 2010. Yes he has been decent, great technician, but this second striker/free role BS has taken the sting out of him. He once combined the statue, strength and the fearless running of a rugby player with an excellent skillset, the latter is everything he has left. The rest is decent but not much more than average. Individually they are on the exact same level as City but the difference was their motivation and tacitics. LVG approached this game really unconventionally, without a proper striker, but 8 midfielders. He did not go through the middle. Neither did he make the game wide and exploited the flanks. He went in between. He loaded the half positions, 10-20 yards just in front of the corners of the penalty box, There were always at least 2 or 3 players per side against City's out of form fullbacks, moving the ball within a tight space, City always had a player less than Utd just in front of their own fucking box, which allowed the Reds the space to either bring in a perfect cross for fellaini or have Young or Mata dribble inside to cause danger. That way they scored their first three goals.
  11. IMO FAbregas>Schweinsteiger Our team is young, theirs is just past their peak. I wonder how they even get half their first XI injured in that uncompetitive and non-physicla league. The return leg is in 5 days so I doubt everyone from that list will be fully fit. Porto have a chance. This Bayern team is not a prime Barcelona or Jupp's dynamic force it is just a ponderous Pep side with a dozen great names. If those are out, they will crumble under pressure. They are not used to that kind of pressing, the lack of competition has made them arrogant once again. Maybe it won't suffice for Porto as Bayern won't make these kinds of mistakes again, but Atletico are even better at pressing whilst MSN will rip anyone apart.
  12. The way they defend requires enormous workrates from their one million midfielders, which is why they always aim to have it back asap. If we put them under constant pressure and let the ball do the work, they will have run out of steam. Valencia and blind are solid and combative but prone to errors when put under pressure by agile wingers like Hazard and Willian. If we take our chances and spare ourselves the compulsory brainfart in defence, we will surely win this.
  13. Defo not. He once even said his next station would be England, because he is a solid English speaker but has no clue about Spanish. I think, he will be at Arsenal or City.
  14. I like how the entire forum is in awe of fellaini. In Matic we have a DM who does not need to be pushed high up the field because his height outshines his defending. Under normal circumstances any of our cbs should be able to cope with him. On a different note, this clash will mark the start of a new era in EPL. Us and utd competing for the title with arsenal in third. So basically back to 2006-2011. Good they have no fergie anymore
  15. Thought the same.will be fun. He builds his success on a strong friendship with his players. We will see if citys big headed shit cunts align with him. Can anyone see yaya run around like gundogan? Good coach and motivator but has to rebuild that squad before they win any titles. Somehow I doubt he will be given enough time.
  16. I would like us to see some nice pressing high up the pitch. With Valencia playing right back they don't have the pace to exploit that and are bad under pressure themselves. their defence is shit and will succumb to width and pace. But when we allow them to have the ball all the time, they will pass us to death with their typical Van gaal 100% posession tactics. they are not Barcelona FFS. But if bus parking suffices for a draw, I will take that. Utd have to win this in order to have only the idea of a sniff at the title. So we have a nice opportunity to show why we will win it.
  17. oh shit it's four. dear me they really turned into a force with blind and valencia playing full back. It's actually 8 midfielders. talk about balance.
  18. Mata is still a good finisher. ManUtd play a really funny system, mata, young, valencia, fellaini, herrera, blind, rooney. No proper striker but 7 midfielders, 5 of them AMs/wingers. I pray we will able to penetrate the holes they leave behind.
  19. complete most crucial win of the season so far? check do it without remy and costa? check fabregas and matic avoiding bookings? check fabregas with a really good performance again? check perfect day so far. Now a draw or a city win in the Manchester derby and all is fine. Yeah we did not play pretty but we played against the crowd, against the ref and still managed to come out of it the best possible way. there was a chance that we could falter under the presure but Jose made sure we didn't. celebrated exuberantly today, because at the business end of the season we mean business.
  20. yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah 3 points closer to the title.
  21. the ref is an undecided joker. Clearly not up to the pressure.
  22. credit where it is due, Cahill plays a superb game. tall, strong players like austin and zamora are his kind of opposition cos he is still a bit taller and stronger.
  23. Ivanovic with those occasional brainfart moments
  24. It's about the money not about the quality. Like most I have never seen anything from him but I can't imagine a player from Japan making a straight impact in the EPL. I guess it is more of a or move and a clever one given the Nikon market is still undiscovered for us. Would be a great one for vitesse.
  25. Boro lost 2:0 against tactically superior league leaders. No shame about that. BAmford did not play particularly well. But Kalas was ok. This. We simply don't know if he is good enough for CFC. He only plays in the CS with average players around him and often in a position that is not his and still scores a decent amount of goals and more importantly plays constantly well. When Thomas Müller got called up from Bayern II to the first team, he did not do any better than Bamford does today. It is our scouts' job to judge whether the potential shown in the CS does suffice for Chelsea. I also think he will never make it here but that is not necessarily his fault. The club does not believe in integrating our own talents. We only believe in buying them cheap and selling them for good money. And that is entirely ok. I really like some of our academy graduates, Pat included. But one should not hang ones heart on them no matter how good.
