every freekick is so much danger. no one picking up evans.

If a player can only playing regista he is very limited. Most teams dont even have a player like that in this position. He really is young enough to learn to be a bit more flexible there or he ends like Jorginho lol

Get Billy off and Kovacic on. We look super rusty while Leicester are a well-pracitsed unit
-
I dont think thats it. Its his first game in months and only his 3rd professional start. No wonder he has been shaken by being pressed this hard.
-
Billy looks completely out of this depth with this mad pressing
-
Willian looks so chubby in white lol Gilmour with an early error
-
that is a nice touch that they interview the fans on the video wall.

Lineup is a bit strange. I would have loved to see a Kova-Jorgo-Gilmour midfield so much technical and passing ability would have given us control of the midfield with ease. Not including Jorginho looks odd too but I cant see us letting him go just for Sandro who is 29. Maybe he still has fitness issues. Leicester basically fielding their first 11. clear favourites for this one.

Would be absolutely ridiculous if Real win the title after all the shit they pulled the back this season. Spanish league is an absolute shadow, Real Madrid and Barca would not make top 4 in epl in current form
-
One of our most stupid ever decisions giving him that contract. Emerson at least is just 25. But I could still see Barca or an Italian club being dumb enough to take him off us. I don’t really understand tho why we needlessly hand out contracts this big for players who are so out of their depth here that they would most probably sign for less.
-
Lol the only goalkeeper in the league who is even shorter and has even weaker arms. Not gonna happen
-
I also rewatched it and could not really see Walker being intimidated or in any way influenced by Pulisic’s pace. Only once scene were Pulisic skips ahead of Walker but passes the ball before it comes down to a sprint Duell. It may be possible that some members have a slight bias towards their compatriot which is understandable as the guy is probably the most talented US player in history.

I like that Nike gives us custom designs in contrast to the Schema F adidas shit. Would be ok with the kit provided that Three spell it out instead of planting that ugly ass number on it. It may irritate the refs to take down the wrong number so Alonso collects all the cards which might work in our favor again.

Utd with all their 4 strikers on still need a cb to score a goal vs a 10men norwich side

Got more Disciplined under Lamps. Did not go forward needlessly and only got outpaced despite being constantly run at by Mahrez and Sterling. He will turn 30 between the years tho, we should definitely aim at selling him this summer.
-
He was quite decent vs City. But then again there was not a single save he made that I don’t expect an amateur keeper to make as well. His weird swinging arms technique, poor positioning and diving backwards style make every Routine save he makes look like a worldie. The free kick was obviously unstoppable, right in the top corner with more top spin on it than a Rafael Nadal forehand. His only mistake was that lofted pass he planted on Sterlings head. But keepers are encouraged to take risks so this happens even to Wc goalies like Ederson.
-
I think he is not muscular enough to be explosive and also that he does not really even try to go full Sprint very often, he covers an immense amount of ground so probably just not enough stamina to bust out a proper sprint.
-
Yup I think we should bring a few starters for westham in as subs dependent on how the game turns but we need to get the players who have not featured yet up to speed for them to be a viable alternative in the run in.
-
Actually not. I would rest Pulisic to protect him due to his injury record. In a regular game he is my first name on the scoresheet. FA cup is not as important as getting top 4 so we should aim at winning this competition without threatening our league chances. With the squad we have that is perfectly possible. CHO needs to get some match practice there is still lots to come from him
-
Strakosha did a weird one himself vs Atalanta. I think whilst there are many decent young goalies that would be an improvement out there the really good shot stopper are a bit older and not as good with the ball on their feet

https://www.spox.com/at/sport/fussball/bundesliga/2006/Artikel/bericht-fc-chelsea-scheiterte-am-transfer-von-david-alaba.html Apparently we wanted to buy Alaba as CB but failed to convince him to come to London. Shame would have been an awesome short-term signing and solved our CB and LB woes in one go.

Need to strike the balance between resting players and keeping them sharp for the run-in. I would go like this ------------------Kepa------------ RJ-----Zouma-----Tomori--Emerson ----------------Jorginho--------------- ------------Gilmour-----Kovacic------- Pedro-----------Tammy---------CHO We have an advantage over Leicester in having a way deeper squad. They will surely rest players amidst their poor restart form.

The result yesterday has put us firmly in the driving seat. I reckon we need 15 points to ensure 4th place realistically (17 mathematically but I expect Utd and Wolves to slip up at leat once each). If we win the next 5 matches, the really hard ones, namely Anfield and at home vs Wolves will be irrelevant. Ultimately it comes down to beat Westham, watford, palace, sheffield and norwich. With the squad we have and the form we are in 15 points here are a realistic target IMO. If we fuck this up we do not really deserve CL but I am pretty confident we will see this out.

That’s what top teams do. Big games are won by the team that makes fewer mistakes. Some people are still hung up on the notion that you need to completely dismantle and steamroll opponents with tiki take shit and have tons of possession to be really superior. The opposite is the case. Bayern Munich, French national team and are three of the best teams in the world and not often they renounce some possession or only punctually press to exploit spaces left behind and ounce in errors even in games were they are favorites. That is just being clever and tactically flexible.
