Think he is playing better - just struggling with Lampard. Thought his best game was with Meireles, buts that's no longer an option. Time o pair him with Romeu and see how that works out, as not working for Lamps...

Dude - we MAY have signed creative players but we sure as fuck aren't playing them! Yes Torres was a twat for storming off, but it could also be he is as frustrated as me at having a bench full of talent and he's gt Cech giving long balls, Ramires losing the ball every second and fuck all incisive play. Agreed - he runs into trouble or gives the ball away. It's not his natural position so not critisicing him - annoyed he is being asked to play there... It like asking a tyre fitter to change your clutch - he has most of the tools available, but theory and practice are 2 different things. Hmm feel bad about starting this thread now... It wasn't that I wanted him gone, more just trying to understand his thought processes on making lots of signings and failing to incorporate them.. E.g what's his defining football strategy... Mikel + Lamps is not working, why can't he try something else? Ramires on the wing is not working, he also didn't track back either. I just think the team lacks natural balance and fluidity - not playing players purchased is hardly inspiring to them is it? Loaning out and selling midfield options is also not great. He's gambled on that, instead of formations and I just hope it doesn't bite us in the arse. Quick analogy - Arsenal a few seasons ago, teams worked out their one-dimensional approach and put 2 banks of 4 behind the ball, result - Arsenl don't break them down and Wenger started the Anti-football campaign. We should never 'expect' to win every game. It's just our tactics looked lacking in an 'attacking' sense - QPR are not a well gelled organised unit (yet) and I feel, with a stronger attacking intent, we could have put them on the back-foot and capitalised on the game. Yes, we are top of the league and not conceeding (which is great) - but teams will soon work out, if they PRESS HIGH and close us down, we are ineffective and unable to score... If QPR had a decent strike-force - we could have been punished pretty severely today, that's just not a situation we should be in...

Thats my point ramires has been poor in every game but he still plays! And its not for defensive reasons - he hardly tracked back and let Bosingwa through plenty of times - luckily it was Boswinga! It's this illogical thinking that is making me concerned and really starting to doubt him on tactics

Done Please understand - I'm not calling for RDM to be sacked! I'm just trying to understand where my thoughts on him are vs others... I REALLY want him to succeed... Just cannot believe the teams he is picking... Perhaps he didnt want to lose 2 on the bounce after Atletico, but QPR away really should be 3 points... City managed it - why couldn't we...?

QPR have LOTS more NEW players than we do.... So we should have taken Advantage of that... We let them have 'belief' they could get something out of the game... We should never do that, we need to be ruthless and clinical....

And another thing... QPR have scored 2 GOALS in 3 games - hardly an attacking threat... why would he want to play Counter Attack? It's obvious QPR wouldn't be ALL out ATTACK like Barca/Real... This is my main problem - the ONE DIMENSIONAL approach to teams that are well organised and close us down with high pressing... Gonna go out for a few beers now... but this game has still ruined my day - I know it's a draw, but feels like a defeat...

That was last year - we've had a HUGE financial investment since then and we have the AVB factor to consider... Yes, the results have been better, but the football has been poor. We just look disjointed, slow and lacking creativity... Perhaps playing Danny instead of Torres will improve this as the ball won't be turned over every time it goes forward... but you cannot deny it's an awful style of football we are playing...

I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY concerned with the Team selection and Tactics from RDM... QPR are a new team, thrown together and for large parts of the game we were completely outclassed, especially on the back of a 4-1 thrashing. I'm really concerned (more than I was this time last season about AVB) whether RDM has the skill to make us progress... 1) Not playing genuine wingers when we have them in the squad 2) Not dropping under performing players 3) Not realising it's not working - and taking AGES to make a tactical change The guy just doesn't have a clue. This is not an attack on his past achievements, he's a LEGEND, I really like him - BUT - have we slipped into the same mistake as the scouse idiots with Kenny and the Toon wankers with Shearer?

the problem I have is that RDM seems reluctant to change ANYTHING - until the absolute last possible minute. His game plan HAS NOT worked It's been a thrashing by Atletico and now a piss-poor 45 minutes. I'm entitled to feel annoyed. RDM needs to 'wise up' and start playing DEDICATED wingers
