Trouble is and what you clearly do not understand is Torres is a Striker - not a midfielder... All of your pretty pictures show the same thing - poor defending... Here's a simple question... If you could start Torres or Falcao tomorrow - who would you start with? Anything else need to be said? Anymore pictures need to be drawn? Thought not...

Agreed he's definitely a slow burner. I'm still not 100% convinced, but he's doing well the dressing room appears harmonious and I love his quiet but efficient interviews. He is also not cocky, which helps with other fans and the general perception of CFC. I do think he is holding the seat (rightly or wrongly) for Guardiola though - and I hope tat isn't playing on RDMs mind - as it will affect his decision making...

The role of a striker is to score! I don't care how he links up play, as long as he puts it in the back of the net with a good conversion ratio... All this rubbish about link up play and assists - You're talking about that because OUR Striker is hopeless and thus needs to do something different to support the team... Still think if you believe Dzeko is the answer, then you are thinking too small... He's ok, but no Falcao... Edit: if I could swap Torres for Dzeko right here, right now i would. But would still want Falcao... Having both would be good - but FM / FIFA territory there...

We don't need a striker to score? Then why play with one? This false number 9 shit has got way out of hand since that fat twat in charge of Spain used it. Goals win games... It's like saying in F1, we don't need a driver, just some great tyre changers... All of them are important, hence the moniker of 'Team' But to say our striker doesn't need to score is ridiculous... Please show me where I said he will score 3x as many goals? Also, what you are failing to understand from my post - is that if the MAJORITY of his chances come from crosses, then sure his ratio of goals will be higher... Do I think Mikel has improved enormously this season? Yes... Would I still replace him? Yes. Stats can be presented to favour an argument - we are not comparing Apples to Apples, no two football games are the same, all teams have different players, different patterns of play for attacking & defending. Can stats alone prove everything? No... So let people express their opinions, if it offends, ignore it - that's what I've been doing and it makes it a much better forum
