I see merits in both arguments, but I think I have to agree with Kojo and Mundaku - as a short term solution for next 2 seasons, this guy could work - if we offload some dead wood, benayoun, Malouda etc - wages won't be an issue. So what I'm saying is if you could swap Malouda + Yossi for this guy, would you? Chalaboh will get his chance - lets not panic about that and if he aspires to this position, having YAYa day in day out in practice, will help him evolve...

I'm happy for my justification in that Moses has been average - he's not set the world alight, but agree that maybe the shitstorm hasn't helped. Moses is nowhere near this kid in terms of ability... Sad but true - in fact in the last few games, Moses has looked distinctly average... You guys seem to forget that people get injured - what happens if Mazacar gets injured? We need depth in the team... If we can get this guy cheap, he offers a great threat and as I originally said - I wouldn't expect him here next season, maybe the season after. Buy him now, or watch his price soar over the next few seasons and then people will be like - we should buy him at 50million euros etc... when we could have had him for 15-20million... I don't see Oscar as a winger, Moses I don't think is good enough, Piazon - not sure about - this guy could slip straight into the team!

The problem is we DON'T NEED A STRIKER - our striker is used as a diversion for the midfielders to score... Lukaku will be more than fine to lead CFC line with BA and Torres as nobody is buying him lol. With Lukakus pace and power he will open up Soooooo much space for our midfielders to exploit and score. This is why big name Strikers never work for us - we don't play that way, we channel as a team, not through a target man... Edotard said it best - Lukaku is the answer! Give this guy a chance with the trio behind him and he will be a beast! He can score but also create soooo much room! He's scored shit loads for WBA and they have 1/2 the players we do! He will get suspended. BUT watch the replay - he GENUINELY goes for the ball, he gets caught over the top of the ball and then into the player - it was a 50/50 ball... Oscar is going to be great - simple as! We have some of the hottest property in football right now and can build a team for the next 6-8 years Let them compare stats, we will be gunning for the EPL and CL next season. Yup but it also stems from the Torres effect - Strikers are seen as a wasted ball... We do need to up our tempo massively and against Utd I was screaming at the TV as we had players wide UNMARKED and no pass! I also hate how we're in attack and a sudden succession of passes sees the ball at Cechs feet for a long hoof!!! Instant possession loss! Hate Utd - but I love how they always play forward... We need to do it! The Board + Roman need to grow some balls and play these lads. I would start with: Courtious Chalobah (DM replace Mikel) KdB - try him as DLP - he's got a great range of passing Piazon - definitely impact Sub Lukaku - bring him home now! He should be starting every game... And fuck this 4-2-3-1 formation - with those players we could easily do 4-4-2 or 4-4-3 !!! Agree with this ! Can we lay off the insults to Romania ? They deserved to win and are happy - critiscing them and their country is not a 'mature' way to deal with this. It's half-time essentially and we are 1-0 down. We CAN win this! We have come back and WON from worse situations and it's about time we did! Lol bit harsh. For a smallish country like Romania, they have a pretty good footballing standard and it's not a money driven, commercialised bandwagon (yet!!!) - so I kinda respect them, they have a god heritage of sticking it to bigger teams and I applaud any team that plays with heart, passion and desire. I just honestly wish our team could do that. At least then I could feel comfortable knowing we gave everything, but just weren't good enough. Last night we gave nothing and got nothing...

I was in Bucharest a few weeks ago - great place, good wine, good food, good people and nice buildings After a football game people get stressed - don't let one comment ruin it Appreciate you guys dropping in and giving us the lowdown.
