  1. Never realised I could understand Belgians - quite a lot of German in there, some reason thought it was more French Woohoo! Hmm why are all the swear words in English? Plus some of the young girls training could 'blossom' in a few years - I saw a nice hot blonde - will be keeping an eye or two on Belgian women's football, behind Poland, Czech, Sweden and Brazil
  2. Yup agree as much as I hate Benitez and this season - the team picked was capable of winning - just the mentality wasnt there... I think as fans we need to be careful of pinning all the blame on a 'straw man' - as simply replacing said person will not address the several issues that are currently affecting us... This is bring endlessly debated on other threads so will leave it there
  3. Love this post! Good work dude - I'm with you 100%... Posts like this and you will be MOTM someday - and I hope it's taught you a valuable lesson, it's ok to have a differing opinion and stick to it. If you truly believe something (like you did), sometimes that belief is realised - like now
  4. Absolutely SPOT-ON! If I hadn't already nominated The Skipper this would make me nominate you
  5. Ok. You think Rooney has a long term future at OT? As for Anderson, he's a regular right, starts every week... Oh wait! No he's a bit part player.... Although I bet if both apologised and acted like men, SAF would put it behind him. Anyway, show me a non-committed Utd player that plays week in week out? That WAS my point - there are none!!!
  6. Kojo on warpath Well - how's it feel that most people now share your opinion on him? The same opinion that got you derided and shot down by everybody? I do think he could be useful with the right coaching as @Fulham Broadway suggests - but like @Leif says, Every game bar a few exceptions - he lets players score... Not good enough at this level... And as @the only place to be says - nt defending a free kick is disgraceful, nearly as bad as Nasri!!!
  7. He was really good when younger... He is still a good player now - he needs game time, that's all. There's very few players that can turn it on from the subs bench - Hernandez being one of them. Moses has also looked shit since his run of games ended and he's been rotated... Rotation just does not work with all players - it's that simple... £2m is a good price and I wish him luck - I'm sure he will be playing regularly and then we'll see what we missed out on
  8. Have some belief, 43,999 other fans were there with you - keep the spirit going, sing for the 90 minutes - everything helps!!! Whilst society would lead you to believe everything can be quantified it cannot - the difference in you staying up of being relegated could be the fans influence! The world is much more complex than it seems - so don't give up (except against us please)
  9. Hmm I think that Canada score was calculated PRE-BUSHMAN? I think it would be higher than self-rape now Known as the 'Bushman effect' or to 'Mentally Bushed'
  10. It's such a shame - the signings in the summer were pretty good IMHO but something just hasn't gelled for some reason... Any chance of Steve Bruce coming back? I always thought he was a petty decent guy? MON just didnt look himself - maybe behind the scenes stuff going on? Anyway, sure it will be an interesting game - made worse for you guys since Fletcher is out and Sessignon (sp?) is the only real threat - it's got 0-0 written all over it if Torres starts I think you will best the Geordies - so don't despair
  11. Yeah T.T. - he deserves an award - maybe not Member of the Month but something like Masturbater of the Month He is a good lad though - some serious dedication to bouncing tit gifs nearly been caught out a few times at work checking them out
  12. Hmm him and Saurez - CFC in a 4-2-2-1-1 sounds good - gonna boot up FM and give it a whirl
  13. @The Skipper And as others have said @Ja1 Honourable mentions @The only... @stingray, @hutcho and the dude in the porn section - love his work
  14. I get what the @the only is saying I get what @Romper and @Blue Lyon are saying But I honesty think we need a radical wake up call. We have to stop thinking we can hire/fire our way to success.... I also agree with @the only - we're a few players away from a really good team. Those players could be KdB, Lukaku and Chalobah. I also do think we need a DLM and CB - I'm also confused about Luiz - suddenly he's not being played in the pivot when I thought he did good work there... What happened? I could really see him there - if we had a great player next to him I also agree we need to clear the dead wood - in the summer we need to get rid of anybody not good enough, fuck what it costs in compensation, having them hanging around is a cancer eating away at the club - we need motivated, professionals - not whiners! So whatever happens as long as its fixed in the summer I don't mind and if that means no CL so be it.... As for Jose, he will come back if we miss CL - you telling me he wouldn't look at our squad and think fuck me I could dominate with this, couple of tweaks, bit of self belief - back in CL first season and maybe a domestic cup - now he would be up for that!!!
  15. And that's it in a nutshell - we don't have players willing to put themselves on the line... Why? Because no fear of consequence, new manager every 6 months, players still get picked and paid - no issue. We need a no-nonsense type of Manager, who demands the full from every player - fail to deliver = goodbye... To be fair I admire SAF on this - the players don't give him shit and if they do, they are soon gone... Just wished we had that fighting spirit back - would have loved to have seen Ballack bossing midfield today and Makalele breaking up play. Me - if I was in charge, start with the new guys - bring them back from their millions of loans and give them all a run of games - experience? Not ready? Er... They are ready and will do more in 90 minutes than our so called regulars....
  16. Lol so it's all Marins fault then is it? Not the shit defending? Not the save Cech should have made? Yup - pick a player and play the blame game - brilliant! Marin might have gone missing, but so did 10 other players, lets not forget that!!!! Coupled with his minimal game time lately - just wow at the comments...
  17. Yup - agree - the US has badly misunderstood (and is not alone) the underlying principles of Communism. However, post WW2 - it has been seen as a convenient way to 'brand' enemies... The US had no problem with Russia and other communist states IIRC until WW2 - during the 'divvy' up process Russia acquired huge chunks of previously German occupied land mass and that scared the fuck out of the US - who used the excuse to keep troops in Germany (even today) under the pretence of peace (same with UK) when really they wanted to keep an eye on the USSR to be fair though, the USSR were a bit cheeky they kept making cardboard models of tanks, planes etc - that when viewed from the air looked pretty realistic - pushing the paranoia further So as with all conflicts, either driven from fear/paranoia or jealousy - or aggression and retribution, or the worst of all, some lunatic believes in a 'divine right' -e.g higher power has spoken to them....
  18. I may have been excited then judged him harshly, but pleased with his progress
  19. Gutted we had the International break, just starting to build a little momentum! Hopefully we can pick up where we left off and string a run of wins together
  20. ROFL Best post this month by far - absolutely brilliant
  21. Fucking garbage! Absolute shit second half... Milner = useless Cleverley = fucking useless Even Gerrard is looking shit!
  22. Hmm I specifically meant Cyprus economy... Their currency was pretty stable and in the late 90s you could get 14% interest rates on savings!!! Switching to the Euro has benefits, but I think it really damaged Cyprus. When Spain and the tourist Islands switched to Euro, they were no longer 'cheap ish' holiday destinations - it killed tourism Also, sure having a small currency vs Dollar/Euro/GBP is tough - but at least you have an element of control... And - changing money - is kinda fun it's not like the old days - now just whack your card in an ATM and local currency pops out As for business - they take an averaged yearly rate on currency - so it wouldn't affect business investment as much as people seem to think... I don't know much about Estonian Market Economics - so cannot comment I just know the guys in Ireland, smaller economy, smaller country? Wished they had kept the Punt... They had good foreign investment before and after the Euro, but now they are dead in the water
  23. Agree - the whole world has gone mad on statistical probability and using a metric to define tangible qualities, on something intangible and hard to compare apples v apples... Bert has also suffered being played out of position - much like Ramires as RW, Bertrand is no LW So I have sympathy for him and yes I might get angry at him during games and moan about him, I do reflect he hasn't always been given the 'best' starting point. I honestly think he's gone backwards under the last 2 managers - which is a shame
  24. Yeah Betrand has suffered by bein played in midfield and not really having a nailed down position. I did expect him to be an understudy for AC and play LB in cup games, weaker league games etc. but this is what happens with Managerial instability! We need some 'manager glue' to stick our potential stars into a winning, motivated team - some can come quicker like Chalobah where we desperately need a player and some like Bertrand/PvA will have to learn the ropes Still excited though
  25. Agree with Only... If you are good enough, you are old enough - mental strength is something you have or don't - that's the rub... Sink or swim, carefully nurturing works to some extent - I guess it depends on the individual - I'd like to see Chalobah starting next season. This thread, lets put a different spin on it: Teenage wonderkid from Barcelona Acadamy wants to play for Chelsea in 15million deal... Now is he ready? Now does he have the right experience? We ARE SO DOWN on our Acadamy players - never quite ready
