About bloody time. Seriously, why should women expect a "few comments" ? On what even ? On their gender ?They should be treated equaly, infact no different to a man, but till then it is a long way to go. You wouldn´t hear comments towards a "lad" that are bringing him down to his male gender in a demeaning way, and if so it would be that he was called something that is supposed to be a female thing. It is not sexist to report about the sick stuff that women have to put up with if they want to work or even live in an enviorment that is "male dominated" (as if this would explain something on it´s own).

I was hoping for Mereleis to the decent thing in the end ... and rip the net into pieces. After all that booing at Da Luz he just had to score, that icecold maddafucka.

Why so nervy, lads ? Wasn´t really all plain sailing. Thanks to some naive defending and some frustration of the Benfica players we are one nill up.Keep the heads, string together the passes and Keep playing football, not hiding. Credit to Benfica though who´ve been playing forward and positively.

^^ What is that all about ? And more importantly, what about Luiz´ injury ? Any updates ?

I´d be up for some trips to cities in the former Soviet Union, where the clubs are named after Tractor Factories. There might be even a few german teams involved so that i get to see Chelsea playing in some really exotic places

Was so cute to see how disappointed she was when Villa scored their second on saturday. She really supports the team as such (as she is a Real Madrid fan).

We should go for it. No matter who is in front of us. We shouldn´t buckle down before Barca nor Milan not anyone. That doesn´t mean that we don´t have to be realistic about the teams we play. But we have made it this far and that just means we have the quality to go on. BUT first of all, let´s make sure we get through and don´t let Benfica back into the game.

Any news about David Luiz ?

Very good win this. Credit to Villa, well defended against Torres in the beginnig and almost making it back into it. But more importantly, this is the Chelsea of very old, not letting slip a win away and go on scoring. Sturridge playing a superb ball through to Torres for the first time i can remember. Good work from Torres, Mikel and Mata, and of course Ivanovic, who is also becoming a threat now at set pieces. Good game, very entertaining to watch. Respect to Petrov and the Villains. We deserved to win though.

Good line up. Should do against this shower.
-
He´ll become a Nr 10, instead of a Nr 9. In fact, he already sort of is.
-
Perfect oppertunity to give Malouda, Oriol and Ferreira (if fit) a run-out to get others a rest.
-
that was imense. First game Hiddink was in charge, if I remember correctly. What a finish by Anelka. He certainly was/is icecold infront of goal.

I´d love to go to a good pub now...not these heavly Celtic comercialised Irish Pubs that look like a chain store

Kalou in it, even with Lampard only ten men.

Was a good game by two very good sides. City won it by margins, we haven´t been outplayed or anything. The peno was a bit harsh i think, there was nothing Ess could do, and of course it had to be TÄVÄZ with a little good moment setting up Nasri. Credit to them. Bit dissapointed, but City were very strong in the end. We matched an imperious side for most of the time. David Luiz plays a lot simpler now, which is good and stays back a lot more. Man of the match for me. Ramires isn´t a winger but i can see why RDM put him there instead of Daniel, the way he´s been playing lately. Cahill: keep up the good work. Impresses me more and more.

You get these types of strikers that are selfish and extremely confident. Danny needs to grow up a little and learn to pick the right pass (which is extremley difficult, i reckon). For Torres´ first goal however he picked the right pass for Raul. It is just a matter of time, as always, a frustrating one to watch but i am sure he learns quickly. To be fair, he scored some good goals and got into good positions, so i can understand (but not justify) why he tries to score always.
-
True that. But who knows who´s next manager and what he´s planning. Gotta nail down the players seems to be the clubs policy anyway.
-
Rather have him for another year than two inexpierienced goalies or only turnball on the bench or Courtois rotting there playing the odd game. It is not really the utmost important position we need to change, back up goalies
-
Maybe. He did good with Brom and seems to have a good knowledge of the game. If the results keep coming and he keeps up his positive and steady approach I´d say he fits the category.
-
Along with Oxlade-Chamberlain by far the most impressive name in the game.

The team plays like as there was a massive burden taken off their shoulders. Much more fluent and more creative. Seems like a breath of fresh air with a sense of calmness for the first time since Carlos last few games. Not saying that AVB hasn´t brought that, but at his spell it was always combined with a sense of vulnerability. RDM got them playing together again. Maybe AVB wasn´t the right man. I still convinced that his sacking wasn´t a good idea. But I am defenitly delighted about the games we´ve had under Robbie.
