The Mirror are claiming that Salomon Kalou is due to have talks about a potential move to Tottenham. (via @CarloFan on twitter)

All that is saying that if they had to go through qualifying rounds to get to the group stage and failed then that player would be able to play in the group stages or further with another team since he hasn't played in the actual tournament just qualifying rounds.

I'd love Luke Shaw here since he's not just a great player but also a self confessed CFC fan. Bertrand is clearly not in Jose's good books and Ash is reaching the end of his career so Shaw does look like a viable replacement.

I presume Matic really wanting to leave and join us has some influence on the lower price but doubt it would account for the low'ish some being thrown around.

To be fair he was playing next to Ramires who we all know likes to get forward, I presume because of this Marco played deeper to account for Rami's attacking runs.

I think Mourinho was saying that he's are only target in the striker position and also to make Rooney feel special. Imo we are still after De Rossi.
