Honestly and realistically the best result we can get from this transfer window in terms of strikers is signing Costa, Mandzukic and retaining Lukaku whilst shipping the rest. But I doubt Torres is going to leave so if Mandzukic was to come I'd worry it would be Lukaku to be axed.

Two David Villa goals gave Spain victory over El Salvador in Maryland but there was no Chelsea involvement in the action with Cesar Azpilicueta remaining on the bench, as did Fernando Torres with Diego Costa playing 74 minutes up front for the World Cup-holders before being replaced by Xavi. Both Villa goals came in the second half with Cesc Fabregas missing an early penalty. The Fabregas mention is just a coincidence imo but the Costa one isn't. What is the need for them to mention he was playing, how long for and who replaced him. All they needed to say is that Torres wasn't playing I mean they didn't mention who was in the starting XI ahead of Azpi.

I'm really suprised at Liverpool this transfer window, Lallana is a great player but I don't feel he is 30m worth or even world class for that matter. This is a team that is going to be in the champions league next year and so far they look to have signed two english players, one who is 32 and won't get better and another who is overpriced. Very odd.

It was always going to happen. I've been saying it for a while, this year Atletico reached a peak imo one where all their players were pretty much on form. Players were going to leave because as well as Atletico did this year they are not going to be powerhouses in Europe and dominate football.
