Gave me goosebumps... The good old days!

Welcome Welcome! I loved Sheva too. I think he would have had a much better year if Drogba didn't put nearly every ball he touched into the back of the net.. I guess you can't have two strikers scoring 30+ goals a year...

Malouda admits Wilkins sacking has affected Chelsea
gary gordon replied to Wilson's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I have actually been very surprised with Malouda lately. I believe he is being far too outspoken. The comments he made last year and the ones he has made recently are becoming a little bit worrying. I think he should probably just start to focus on playing football. -
Don't know if it's been posted yet, but rumours are that Lamps will be on the bench...

Marseille goal.. Finally!
-
Goal!!.......................................................... Is what i would be saying if our players had a fucking clue.....
-
Anybody got a decent stream?
-
you mean that little black dude who sits on the end of the bench that nobody talks to?
-
The way i see it is, as a body Carlo is the brain, the players are the hands and feet and Wilkins was the heart. He was the one sending blood throughout the body.. Without our heart, we are fucked. There is just nobody between the players and the manager any more.

Could Qatari owners at other clubs threaten us?
gary gordon replied to zolayes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
As long as we can stay competitive and not turn out like Leeds, I couldn't give a shit.... I don't care if our owner is white, black, brown yellow or beige, Jewish, Muslim. Christian or Buddhist! As long as the bloke/or chick doesn't interfere with the backroom and lets the manager and staff run the team.. -
I felt disgusted at having to sign for Chelsea
gary gordon replied to Madmax's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Don't hold your breath... The higher Chelsea get, the more peope want to shoot us back down. It's all politics. The fact that a Jewish Russian billionare owns one of the most succesful teams in Europe isn't sitting well with alot of people.. I couldn't give a fuck though.. It just makes everything sweeter come May when we are lifting the title again.. -
I felt disgusted at having to sign for Chelsea
gary gordon replied to Madmax's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
This is a quote from his autobiography: "I was disgusted. I realised that signing for Chelsea was disgusting. It's hard to explain." "I said to myself 'I couldn't give a damn' (that Marseille have accepted a bid)," he said. "Maybe that's going to shock supporters of Chelsea, but I didn't want to leave. "I even did some things that were almost absurd, in order not to go to Chelsea, such as during the medical. "Going to the hospital in Paris, I was praying they would find a problem with my knee, or a problem with anything so the move would collapse." "I want to leave Chelsea. Something is broken with Chelsea. The damage is big in the dressing room." (That was on a DVD released in 2007 entitled "The Incredible Destiny of Didier Drogba") 'I have only one year left on my contract, so I am going to go with the flow. 'I could be wrong but I feel that in 2009 beautiful things will happen. There will also be surprises. 'But I won’t say more. If I start to speak about my future, I might say the wrong thing and that will come back to haunt me. 'Am I at the right place for 2009? Only time will tell. If we win the Champions League in May, the answer will be obvious.' This is just an attempt by the daily mail to stir more shit in the Chelsea backroom.... -

Trust me. This interview is old. He makes the same quotes in his Autobiography. -

This is a really old interview... I think 06. -
As a support striker/winger yes! As a Central striker NO! It's not half obvious that the year Nico got the Golden Boot was the same year Drogba was injured and fell out of favour with the gaffa. If Nico is up front i believe he is a more Clinical finisher inside the box then Drogba. But Drogba is the kind of player who can pop up anywhere, and score from just about any place on the field. I would love to see Anelka back to his scoring days but at what price? Drogba on the wing? Won't happen.....

I would love to see a win here but I can't see that happening. I think this game defines our season really.. We win this, gain confidence to smash Man united and beat Arsenal at home we could probably look at being top of the table again come new year.. If we lose this, I have no doubt we will lose to Man United at home and also finally drop points to Arsenal. If those gooners are ever going to beat us i can see it happening this year.. I hate being so pessimistic, but after watching us on Saturday, i have lost a lot of the confidence i once had in our boys.. They just simply look like they don't know what to do...

What the hell does this have to do with anything???? Since when did Henrique become one of the Mods? Henrique, you are fast becoming one of the most hated guys on this forum so i suggest you slow your role... If i guy wants to sell a shirt anywhere he should be able to. Now as far as the shirt being legit goes, thats up to whoever is game enough to make a trade without using somewhere like eBay.Personally, I wouldn't buy anything outside eBay or an online store with a good reputation.. The chances of the shirt being legit are slim as i have seen over 30 Drogba 08-09 Third kit in Long sleeve "Match worn" shirts and he only wore that shirt once against Pompey away.. If you look on eBay you will find hundreds of "match worn" shirts which i have no doubt are fake...
-
You don't get that? Why am i not suprised! Drogba is a central striker who needs dynamic, fast passing, and quick footed players on each side of him for service. Anelka holds up the ball every time he gets it and waits for the opposition players to get into a defensive pattern before usually passing it directly to an opposing player, or goalie or corner flag.... Instead of dribbling it around the box, he needs to get it in there and force either a penalty or a defender to commit to a challenge. He does absolutely fuck all for me and is a wasted position on the wing. Anelka is a brilliant finisher, one of the best Ive seen, but he knows fuck all about playing out wide... I'm off to bed! its 5 fucking am here and I'm raging!
-
Wow from 5 points clear to third and falling! You really have to blame somebody aye? Things i noticed tonight: Anelka is way off pace! honestly besides nearly making a meal of the one on one with Howard, he literally did fuck all! The team were very wasteful! Giving up cheap possession over and over again. Everton at times were very average and still seemed to dominate us. Our reserves are fucking weak! I remember looking at our bench over the last few season and saying "Any of these blokes would be starting in any other team in the world" Not now! Structure has gone! We look more like a bunch of kids going after the same ball instead of trusting your team mate, getting in a decent fucking position so that when he does win it he has somebody to pass it to. Moral of the story! I miss Lampard and Ballack!
-
Hasslebank twice as good as Drogba? Wow!... thats all i can say.....
-
That is honeslty all we are missing! I mean even our midfield has lost its creative abilitites because they are too concerned about backing up in defence.. Like the saying goes, "How can you go forward when your still worried about whats going on behind you"....

The problem is that everybody is not the same. Some people take defeat differently to others. Some of us are still young and have a shorter fuse which tends to go off a lot quicker than some of the oldies..The other night i broke my Foxtel remote control in the dying minutes of the game through frustration, but thats not the first time it's happened. Because i also support the shittiest Rugby League team in the country, i am some what learning to deal with defeat.. And thats after 1 broken coffee table (not mine) 1 Everton fans jaw, my hand, countless doors and some plaster walls throughout the house... and i won't even bring up the road rage.... Because of Chelsea's high success rate, some of the fans forget that other teams have to win sometimes too. Now i don't mind losing if we have a bad day or are robbed or are just unlucky. But when our lads turn up and just look like they ain't having a go, then i will say something. Against Birm and Newcastle, we had a go! We dominated possession and were very unlucky with some shit calls from the ref and good goal keeping. The first half against Liverpool and the game vs Sunderland was something else. Just plain old laziness and a lack of desire to win.. I think the cause of the current blip is because of the lack of homegrown talent on the field. We only have 1 English player in the starting 11 at the moment! Just 1.... Now I'm not blaming the foreign players, but in an English side, you need English leaders. Drogba is just not good enough... You need somebody to lift the team whether it be through example or speech. Drogba has done neither. He seems very frustrated and tends to give up when things don't go his way... As a player he is irreplaceable, but as a captain, he is still way off... Carlo is a good coach and even though he won the league in his first year, i still believe he needs time to understand the English game and the importance of some of the middle table matches..

Man i wish this guy wouldn't age! We are going to need a very special replacment for him!
