At the moment i think City are in way over there heads. They haven't been in this situation before and the Christmas rush and the hard run home will be a massive test for them as it will be for everybody with Champions League, Carling cup and FA Cup commitments. I think the team that can keep the same consistent team on the pitch will take the title. Lets not forget everybody had us done and dusted at at least 3 different times and we still put up a fight. If we can keep within a few games of the top we will finish strong.

Welcome mate!

If you look again you will actually see that i deleted that part. the reason being is that i think if we do lose form it won't be around christmas but around January. I think being in the position we are and not on top of the ladder takes away a lot of the pressure we had in recent seasons. Let's not forget, everybody want's to beat the guy coming first!

There is no doubt in my mind that City will go through a rough patch, Every team does, whether it's from injury, Champions League, or in fighting, any team with the amount of ego's as City, and sadly us, will always have problems within the club that end up affecting the players attitude on the field. Let's not forget YaYa Toure, who IMO has been there best player will be away at the AFCON in January, Man United are already in a slump but unfortunately for us they are still earning points. 2-0 at home to Galati, 0-1 away to Everton and 1-0 at home to Sunderland is hardly form to be excited about. Arsenal think they have turned a corner but one injury to "glass man" or any other starting 11 player and they are fucked!. Arsene Wenger is good at tricking the supporters and letting them think they are doing well but come May they will still have no silverware and more players will want to leave. They simply don't have the strength to compete in the long haul. Tottenham are always going to be Tottenham (Good from far, Far from good). They have the potential to do well but, let's face it, it's Tottenham! Liverpool really have no excuse other then Gerrard can't seem to stay on the pitch. They have a very decent midfield, hungry strikers and an above average defence. Kenny Dalgleish will make sure they are there come April-May next year. Who here would regard Newcastle as top 4 contenders?? Who have they beat or played? They will be lucky to be in the top 8 at the end of season! Trust me! I think we have the strength to take out the title. We have a good blend of experience and youth and a very capable coach and staff. AVB just needs to have confidence in himself and his team selections. He needs to select players on form and form alone. Not reputation. Players like Drogba and Torres shouldn't be anywhere near a starting jumper at the moment. Sturridge is full of talent but plays like he is about to get hooked.. I think our experience will see a shift in the ladder come February next year. Once we find the right formula, GET THE FUCK OUT OF OUR WAY!

Chelsea Individual Statistics, October 2011

As soon as a saw Ashely cole was 183 on the castrol ranking i stopped reading.. -
He looked very disinterested today. Very far off the pace and his dribbling skills are fading. He use to beat 90% of the PL: defenders now he is struggling to get the ball past a depleted Genk defensive line.

Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas
gary gordon replied to Fulham Broadway's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
It's not entirely AVB's coaching. He is very tactically gifted manager. We just have too many players at the moment who aren't gelling. Sturridge doesn't want to pass to Torres, Torres goes out to get the ball himself because he isn't getting much service then crosses the ball to where he should be standing. We have a striker where a world class winger should be. Mata is good but he is on a different level to the other players. I've noticed a massive difference in the style of play this season where we commit too many bodies forward and depend on the DM to clean up the mess from the counter attack. This only works if they go through the middle. If they go down the flanks, we are fucked. We need to find a balance between the right amount of attackers and defenders. Too many attack minded MFs are bad. Too many defence minded midfielders are bad. It's a very tricky situation. We also need a consistent starting 11. Lets not forget Drogba, Anelka and to a lesser extent Kalou all had nothing to do with this match. Over the last 3 season they have been the scurge of Arsenal. Everybody needs to relax and enjoy Chelsea game by game. Don't expect too much because at the moment we are in a rebuilding stage. Let City and United slug it for the title and be happy to stay in the top 4. -
Nice way to start the day! Up you blues!

Missed most of the game. Why are we down to 10?

gary gordon replied to ack17's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Let's just hope the 3rd last game of the year is relegation battle for QPR. I won't except anything but 6-0 and over! Send these fucking scumbags packing.. -
Chelsea boss AVB facing FA action after ref blast.

I told my wife that if i was in London on Sunday i would have got arrested. Either would have decked Foy, Barton, or that cocksucker that threw the ball away when Mikel went over to get it.. -
If you look at his last two appearances for Chelsea you can't imagine a starting 11 without him. He has been absolutely brilliant both in attack and defence. His reading of the English game is improving every week and at this rate we might have signed the best box to box midfielder in the Premier League.. I'm also very impressed with his attitude to training and staying grounded. He really is something to be excited about!!

Have you got the series 8 Led? How amazing does the colour green look? I swear watching any sports game in HD is nothing short of amazing!. When i went to buy it at the store they had a Chelsea demo running on it. Took me about 4 seconds to decide which TV i was buying that day.. :blue scalf:

Remember this like it was yesterday. What i would do for that "boring football" and winning the title weeks before the end of the season.. Now we play second fidle to United..
-
I think its about time CFC started offering the season review DVDs and other Doco's in Bluray. I was watching the 09-10 review on my Samsung led and he picture just isn't good enough.. I've watched all the games so far this year in HD and they are amazing!!

This is good news! Wish Ivory Coast didn't... Can't see Essien being fit for it either..

Which Liverpool, United, City and Arsenal players do you like?
gary gordon replied to Kieran.'s topic in Football Chat
As a person can't stand him, as a player i like him: Patrice Evra.. -
Nice observation. I'm sure Villas Boas will be working with the staff over the break to figure out ways to adjust the defence in this situation.

Support Torres - Join me on the BOYCOTT..!
gary gordon replied to hunaz10's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Even though Torres pissed me off something fierce the other night, I must say i'm pretty confident in taking the League this year.. We outplayed United all over the park. They just had some luck... -
Official: Torres is the greatest fuck up in the history of the premier league.. That miss has surpassed Diego forlans..

Although I'm not shocked at the shoreline I'm shocked at how bad the cohesion is between the team.. I guess it's always going to happen when you have a team of overpaid, over the hill morons..
