It's back.

I too have wildcarded...
-
Who uses a bench... My bench contains the cheapest players for their positons who play...
-
Yeah ok fair enough. i can't see you having close to that much. But Mou will probably be fairly happy to let you have it and try and hit you on the counter.
-
Well none of us exactly know how eto is. So providing he gets the clear from the medical start i see no reason why not. If he actually is struggling with an injury then of course i wouldn't risk him.
-
Tough game, and won't be easy even though they don't have fellaini. Hopefully eto can start the game as we are all eager to see him in action. Picking the 3 in behind is now even harder, and with the exception of hazard (If fit) he is the only one i am confident will start. Expect to see a tight frustrating game, where we have a lot of the ball but struggle to breakthrough. 1-0 to us in a close game i think.

True. But then at least we would have won it again... It would have been won extremely ugly, but i imagine it would be some sort of Chelsea winning the CL but with an even bigger underdog story and more luck sort of scenario. Not to tomo... Also fwiw, the topic should say for english members... As i doubt Scotish, irish, or welsh members give a shit about the england team. Perhaps to open it up for everyone you should say "your own national team winning the CL, or your country winning the world cup"...
-
I always put chelsea ahead of the england team. But we actually have a chance of winning the champions league wheras england have like a 0 chance. So if we were to win it it would be incredibly special, as i have no idea how it would happen. Especially as it will be lampys last chance. Its extremely tough. But i suppose because we can actually win out ourselves i'll take england winning the world cup, then in mourinho we trust for the champions league.
-
True. But at least they have the optimism op youth and will just keep on running and trying. The guys in the actual team realise we are shit, and all their optimism dried up in 2006.
-
Yeah of course. But I mean just aiming to get in the quarters every 4 years is just a low bar to be aiming at.realistically it is what we are looking at for the next decade. last generation played under potential. Especially when we had one of the top defences at their peak along with the greatest cam in the world, and gerrard. A young rooney who looked like a world beater, and some older quality from the likes of Beckham. To now, when the best players 7 years ago, are still the best players now. Except they are much older and obviously worse, but no one has taken over from them. It wouldn't be that bad if we had one area where we were quality. But we haven't got that. Maybe strikers, as rooney and sturridge look good. He would have had a much better England career had he left us sooner than he did.
-
We always get to the quarters. That's not exactly an achievement. I would rather he at least set the team out with some pace and flair. Just play the U21 side with lampard cole, hart, gc, rooney and sturridge. Be better than the pile of shit we witnessed then.
-
At least sturridge and rooney are decent. And our boys generally are. But our midfield is terrible, as gerrard lamps and milner are all slow. And if you put lambert up front alone then you may as well run the game at a donkey pace. Should have just put caroll and crouch up there and let gerrard and Lampard fire balls at them all day.
-
We are so shit.

I haven't read the thread, nor was i speaking directly to you. I haven't been around the last week enough to know exactly whats going on, and have no problems with you specifically. I made that comment in response to the sheer amount of arguing i have seen. I am not claiming anything is killing the forum, my pub post was in response to rmpr and some suggestion of the "pub lot" causing problems. You go ahead and have your opinion. It doesn't bother me, you are entitled to it as i am and everyone else is.
-
Is this supposed to be a debate about the MOTM or a argument over whatever it is there seems to be a big argument about. As for the actual topic, i don't really care. And congrats to the Skipper. Great member.
-
Yeah. I wouldn't put him on loan, but if he isn't in Jose' immediate plans i would rather see him on loan banging in goals, than sitting on our bench. If it was up to me, he would be the number 2 and get a lot of game time, but it seems Jose will have Eto and Torres above him in the pecking order, so his game time would be limited.
-
Great signing for arsenal...
-
Kind of looking forward to this window being over.
-
Well how does sitting on the bench this season help him. If Jose doesn't think he is ready, then its better off he just go and get consistent game time, and score goals.
-
Lol at that ridic price for bale. I guess real madrid only watched spurs after christmas last season. As before hand he was pretty average.
-
Tommorrow could be really interesting... FWIW, Ozil to arsenal would be a very good buy, even though they have cazorla. He is still a great player.
-
Would like to see Oscar tried deeper. Won't happen though. The actual best partnership is pretty hard to judge because I have only seen van ginkel in pre season. Essien also looked great then. I am probably in the minority when i think that lampard still has a role to play, and has done the job asked of him. Still probably wouldn't be in my first 11, though it all depends on the game situation.
-
It can at times. But against this team I think it was the correct strategy, despite conceding and eventually losing. You get a surprise lead and it gives you something to hang on to. Saying don't sit back is easy, but when you expect to give up a lot of possession it just fits in perfectly with playing fast counter attacking football.
-
This. It was the same after we drew away with united... Though going of some of the reactions you would have thought we had been smashed by Accrington Stanley.
