I think the amount of touches Ivan gets proves that either Ivan is amazing to get that many touches. Or whoever our RB is gets that many touches. If its the second one then i would love to see Azpi. Also crossing the ball is great, except for the fact that our tallest player in attack is schurrle at 6 foot. Be different if we had a certain belgian upfront, but thats an entirely different debate.

Hazard is not doing great. And our mikel ramires midfield is as bad as it was last year. We can still do this though. Just need a bit more penetration in the final third.

Probably true (don't remember the lineups), but we were even worse whenever mata didn't start last season as well. There are countless comments from games when he wasn't playing about how we needed him. My point being we were bad last season with mata and worse in general without him. And its not like all of a sudden this season we arn't playing great.

People have short memories. We were shit last season and the season before. Remember the games vs QPR Fulham away and countless others etc. We are definitely not playing worse than we were there.

It won't happen. But we have 6 of them, why not try playing Oscar or KDB alongside Mikel/Essien or something. Adapt them to a DLP. That way as well we reduce our 6 players for 3 positions problem, strengthen our CM, and have creativity across the midfield.
