Well i didn't say the BIG teams would guarentee him to be thier no.1 striker. But we are in a positon where are weakest positon (maybe second weakest after the pivot) is at striker, and we have a good one with the potential to be great. Thats all i am saying. He has to play to be able to show what he can do. Nothing to say he couldn't be at somewhere like everton for a couple of years then move on to another team who will perhaps give him what we might not. Hopefully it all works out and he goes on to become a chelsea striking legend, but i would be lying if i said i have my doubts about whether it will happen. I mean we got rid of sturridge when he was better than Torres and was given 0 oppertunities.

I am annoyed with the reasoning behind loaning him. Obviously he is not considered to be the no.1 which is what i disagree with. As i would rather him playing for everton than sit on our bench. Its just the thought process to deem the other players to be above him in the pecking order. I think as a player, you have a great loan spell at west brom, was our best striker in pre season. Is (assuming here), gonna have another great loan spell at everton, yet thats still not good enough. I am just saying that as a player, being the no.1 and guarenteed to be the main man is very tempting and clubs would be lining up for him. I wouldn't blame him. I think next season its time to put some faith in him.

What competition... Torres did well at the weekend. Probably the best i have seen him play in a year, or at least one of his top 3 performances in the last year. That is saying something. He is young and does have a lot of potential. But crucially he is already better than Torres, Eto, and Ba. If we had bought cavani or lewy etc then i understand it, but loaning our best striker for game time makes no sense. Now we can't loan Torres because we would look like fools after buying him for all that money so we persist with him, and loan out the youngster.

Get rid of our best striker 3 times in a row. Drogba Sturridge Lukaku Unbelievable. Another assist. Nice work Romy.

It will until we buy another striker in january then he is second choice and will leave. If i was Lukaku i would be realising how the grass is greener elsewhere. Hopefully he doesn't and he really wants to play for us. But there are plenty of teams who would be more than willing to have him and make him their no.1

Ok. I over reacted a bit. But hearing the main reasoning for why it should be oscar over mata is because of defensive workrate, is way off. Its not like mata doesn't bother. And there are far more important things for the CAM to posess than their defensive workrate. And i think the pressure on our pivot is partly caused by us not having a good one, rather than it being the players in front fault. Ofc if someone helps them out it makes their job easier, but its not like they are amazing themselves anyway.

Mata is clearly the best. Oscar should play in the Pivot imo. EDIT: Also tbh, i couldn't care less at mata's so called "defensive inability". He is playing behind the striker. We have 6 other players who have a strong focus on protecting whats coming towards us. Mata is better in an attacking sense at no.10 right now. Oscar is great, and may be better there shortly. But right now there is no question.
