  1. Modric looks to not be happenning because of levy, so the chances are, our pursuit of hulk will go up a notch, unless we decide to go for someone like mountionho instead. Having said that it wouldn't be unusual if roman decidied to just splash out on buying both.
  2. And that is a bitch. I didn't think he would come originally but then i had hope. The telegraph is generally more relieable than most, so basically its not going to happen.
  3. What is your argument here? We need a solid DM to be solid defensively. How is our midfield lazy, they still covered tremendous amounts of ground. Ramires often played in our middle 3, is he lazy? erm no. lampard is often in the top 5 of the 22 players on the pitch in distance covered, so saying our midfield is lazy is, pretty unaccurate. I have no idea what you are arguing agianst as i never said anything about lumping the ball up to torres, or mata, or hazard! And again your saying we need someone with a good footballing brain in the midfield that is what modric is there for. I assume you are saying we don't need a defensive midfielder instead, Modric with Ramires would work in midfield. The problem is with no one sitting in then we will be very vunerable on the counter. Ramires isn't defensively good enough and neither is Modric in reality. It will work great against the smaller teams though against the big guns there is no way Di'matteo would play that way. So your arguing about something i never stated but anyway.
  4. Im confused here, are people dropping big JT, becuase of the court case, or are people actually dropping him. Because if they are then i am completely astounded. In a couple of years it will be more understandable, but for me there is no way ever that he will EVER be dropped for david luiz this season. Also that midfield is great in attack, but i would rather we have a solid defensive midfielder in there with modric as that team will be way too attacking and cause lots of pressure on the counter attack. Ramires is amazing (no doubt), but with modric moving all over the place being the player maker, we cant really have him moving on up and he isn't great defensively. So mikel may have to come in, or SUPER FRANK. And i think people are getting overly worked up over having a small team. It is not exactly that small to be fair. Mata and hazard being the only players under 5'9, with torres being 6 foot and hulk being 5'11. We don't have drogba so wont be the powerhouse in attack though Cahill, terry and ivan will be strong and will be a big ariel threat from corners. Also Hulk isn't that tall but is pretty solid (hence the name), though as i said someone like mikel shouldn't get bullied of the ball, (liverpool match being an exception).
  5. Then he can tell the court to fuck off as well.
  6. There is no way JT will find it hard to get back in to this team. He will not be dropped this season or probably next season. Even if he has to miss the first few games due to being suspended (hhhhhmmmm Bullshit). Cahill Terry, is a much stronger partnership than Cahill Luiz, and with all these attacking players we are bringing in we wont need to have extra attacking sparks coming from defence and can just be solid at the back. Only one JOHN TEERY and still one of the best in the league. Also, the court case can fuck off.
  7. I dont think maicon there is much chance of maicon coming. I do think he is a good player. Just because you are in your 30's doesn't mean your past it. It would mean that he would lose a lot of value over the coming years, so would have no re-sell value but if he was to help this team to some trophies then it would be worth it.
  8. it means a chelsea representative was hiding in a bush at tottenham and when Luka walked by he whispered at him and offered him 10's of pounds to sweeten he deal.
  9. He would still be a go to guy, as torres and him would be our main goal getters, Hazard on the left and Mata will obvioulsy provide a lot as well as score themselves. Also i think the reason why people sometimes get annoyed with sturridge is that he gets his head down and doesn't look up and goes on his own. Hulk had a lot of assists last season and if you have his scoring record in that league i would be encouraging him to have a shot. And i know that stats often are misconstrued and can be sued to support several arguments but based on the facts available i simply belief that Hulk will be better and perform a much vital role for chelsea than jovetic will.
  10. Yeah but now we are just assuming that him coming to a bigger team would make him perform better. The prem is a much harder league than the italian one, at fiorentina he is a big fish in a small pond, at chelsea he would be a smaller fish in much larger pond. Also another key problem which i didn't mention earlier is that his prefered position is ST, so he would have to play in a position he may not like as much at RW, unless we drop torres. Which would make no sense as if we are going to drop torres for a striker we may as well invest in someone like falcao, or cavani. Hulk on the other hand can play ST but his preferred position is RW which is where we need to fill. And the fact that it could work out to be 13 mil more for Hulk doesn't really bother me in slightest. If roman deems it to be a good investment then im fine with that. Also the portugese league is definately not as good as the Italian one, but he can only play against the teams in his league and in that regard he has done great. It doesn't mean he wont do well in a bigger league.
  11. Just look at records for thier recent clubs. Hulk plays RW, jovetic plays ST. I know its different leagues etc but hear me out... For porto Hulk has 52 golas in 96 games For fiorentina Jovetic has 22 goals in 84 games. Also last season hulk led the whole league in assists. Jovetic had only 3 assists last season. Yes hulk is 3 years older, but can we really afford to have him in there, completely unproven in the premier league? Hulk is also unproven in the premier league but he has a lot of champions league experience which jovetic doesn't have. For me anyway its not even close.
  12. I think we should buy that mesut ozil fella. I hear he is pretty good...
  13. Skysports news confirmed what we thought. Hulk has expressed his desire to go to Chelsea, and whilst there may be other offers chelsea is the club he wants to be at... Which is good news, though doesn't mean its going to happen if porto etc keep dragging thier heels.
  14. Why would Hulk go to tottenham, with no champions league , and the fact that many of thier "stars" could possibly be leaving. Doesn't make much sense. I would like him to come here, but if he doesn't i wont be too annoyed, as i am really happy with the hazard signing, however i will be truly pissed off if he goes to the twattenham.
  15. Saw all the prem, carling cup, fa cup and champions league, with the exception of 2 games in the early part of the season when on holiday. What really annoys me is that if i dont go to the game and watch it, most games arn't on tv in the UK because of scheduling rights etc, yet some channel in the middle east can see them all... Lucky i can get them online. Cant wait til the days when every single game is on TV at some point, not that it will ever happen probably.
  16. Yeah thats what i assumed, couldn't remember what the fixture list looked like early on last season.
  17. Does anybody know why according to the fixture list pretty much every game is on saturday at 3:00... Surely Chelsea vs Man u etc would be on super sunday? Or is that something that they sort out later?
  18. According to this newcastle value him at 18mil.. though this looks like rubbish to me tbh as there are no sources or anything just random speculation. I have posted the link though i wouldnt exactly trust it so whoever runs this sort of stuff feel free to remove it. http://www.transfersplay.com/chelsea-eye-ben-arfa-as-hulk-deal-hangs-in-balance/3009
  19. Why are people expecting him to do bad now. Our results wern't that bad towards the end of the premier league season and in comaprison to the start of the season we were epic. I think too much blame for results falls on the manager and too much of the credit goes on them as well. I am very happy RDM is the manager, he is great with the players and we won the double. We wont be 6th in november because our team has got going again and our signings look promising. RDM = Club Legend. GET BEHIND IT!! And also i do realise the vast majority of this thread is BS, but still the point is valid.
  20. If torres doesn't start scoring next season, then it wont alter my view on RDM in the slightest... Legend of the club and unlike the dickhead who used to be liverpool manager our club legend has won us some serious silverware as a manager.
  21. I dont think its fair to say lampard doesnt have the legs to attack anymore. Granted he is not gonna be able to do as much as he did 6 years ago... But i have been impressed with lampards work rate all season... And providing we rest him in the easier games then he can have a great role and do that for us for a couple more seasons. I think adding one more good flexible squad player to our midfield will be great but i dont see the need to go crazy spending huge as i think its quite a solid area, especially with the youth we are developing through. However saying that im definately not opposed to get modric for a reasonable price now Redknapp has left.
  22. great news. the result i wanted, glad to see he has 2 years. roll on the 18th august.
