Of course it may not go as great as we hope. But what are we expecting with any manager a transfer ban and no hazard. Top 4 would be a good season this year. But forgetting all that. It's an understatement to say he's a club legend. So if there's a 10 percent chance he changes the culture and we go on to do great things with super frankie then it's worth it. Plus it's the perfect time we have nothing to lose. Let's be honest here the squad is talented and young but we arent gonna be beating city over a full season. Perfect time for a man manager over a purely tactical one. As the guy above suggests Steve Holland. Great guy. But the difference tactically is probably the minimal. The difference motivationally is huge. As I said before if anyone in this squad can't play for Frank lampard then they should just leave. Plus, looks like many of our talented youngsters may be somewhat inclined to sign new deals for us at least in part because they know they have a better chance of being part of his plans than they would under Sarri. And if we can get CHO for example to sign a new deal then the appointment is worth its wait in gold.

Haven't been on here in a long time, but hope everyone's doing good. But with lampards imminent arrival and (ironically) our transfer ban I'm so excited for next season. Yeah he has little experience. Yeah I'm heavily bias as he's like my favourite player of all time but we need someone to come in and re write the script a bit. We have so much potential in our youth products which we rarely use and now is as good as an excuse as ever. Everyone will be behind him and if this team can't get themselves to play hard for Frank fucking lampard then we have no hope. We know he will inspire the players, believe in youth and will have everyone's full backing which is something you can't say for any other manager out there. Sure tactically he may be lacking compared to other top names but I think that could be argued to be somewhat of an overrated skill when compared to the other side of management and also a skill which we can't say he hasn't got purely as he only has a year of management. All that being said, it will be even more difficult when the inevitable day comes when he leaves as whilst there is never a player bigger than a club, you don't get many bigger players that lamps. But there's no point thinking negatively as who knows what will happen. No we won't win the league next year, and there's no manager that could instantly make up for the loss of hazard but it's a step in the right direction and particular given the fact we can't buy players to insert some other managers philosophy it appears to be a complete no brainer for me. Super frankie lampard, let's fucking go! KTBFFH!

Dont love it but don't hate it either Courtois money makes it doable but definitely seems like a bit of a gamble for a relatively untested keeper. Haven't heard or seen much of him but he's obviously a very promising young keeper and the way the market is going could be a relative steal with such a long contract. Maybe we could have got better but it's a supply and demand situation with a lack of time so better that than try and roll into the season with a dodgy keeper. If players don't want to be here get rid. Ain't no name bigger than the club. Especially with the players we currently have. Get in line or get out.

Luiz Terry Kante Fabregas Willian James hazard Costa Is just about as attacking as it gets. But if it happens I can see oscar on the way out in Jan or fabregas if he keeps playing matic and kante.

I haven't understood and still don't undestand why our youth players aren't playing. Of the disadvantages of having a sht season and so many "meaningless" games the one perk is that we cn throw some youngsters in give them experience is what is a proper BPL match but has the meaning of a friendly. And yet we keep playing the same sort of team. Lets be honest here. After this season a loss because we went with youngsters and gave them a go would not bother me. So why not give them a chance. Baffling.
