He's been on a team with baines all his career. You have to start somewhere. He wasn't just picked out of a hat. He's been a set piece taker for us several times it's not that far fetched for him to be pen taker. A mountain being made out of a molehill. Fine to disagree with the choice. But it's by no means laughable and I'll back the decision of who should be taking pens by one of the best to ever do it

Jorginho took one in the UEFA super cup before barkley is on the pitch. It's a non issue. He's the pen taker. Willian needs to leave him alone when he has the ball. There's a pen order. So if he's on the pitch he takes it... Why does it matter if he's a starter or not. The rest of them need to respect the order. If he's not on the pitch no 2 has it. Simple

He's taken several set pieces. The pen is 3 inches from being a great hit. A bit of an over reaction there. He's the pen taker so part of that miss is on Willian for adding to the pressure and not letting him get on with it.

Can't see it to be honest. Not sure how anyone can say we struggle to create when we are scoring goals everywhere. This game of course is the exception to that which happens with every team in every season at times and there isn't always an apparent reason. We scored 4 goals took our foot off the gas vs wolves. Neither team deserved to win tonight. As I said before. Its way too early to make judgements about formations etc until we have a much bigger sample size and we have our best players on the pitch. I would argue we have 3 if not 4 starters currently out who would change the way we look under each formation. It'll be interesting to see.

It is to protect us defensively but not sure you can say that when we just scored 5 goals using it. It works we just need better delivery from azpi wide. When we won the league with it we had moses who produced good delivery from rwb. Its a system that protects us defensively and works better with attacking mids than out and out wingers (I. E. That guy again... Mason Mount). We had a bad game which we shouldn't have lost but 2 games isnt enough to say anything definitive. The other key point is we haven't played either system with our best defender and midfielder both in it yet. We could look solid with the 4 with them 2 or even better in the 3-4-3. We don't know yet

What has that got to do with lampard? We have a transfer ban. The fact is without hazard now we are reliant on others to be good. Mount has been great for us going forward. CHO RLC etc will be great and of course its not all on mount. But he is key. His age means fuck all.

Arguing puts pressure on the pen taker more so than before. It's nearly a perfect pen and barkley can take them so I don't have an issue with him taking it. I have an issue if A) he's not supposed to and thinks he just can pull rank on people Willian standing there questioning him for ages But lamps needs that sorted immediately. We have a 1 2 3 pen taker. And they take it in that order if they are off the pitch. We'll be fine. Just means the margin for error is tiny

The fact he wasn't immediately stretchered off makes me hope the injury isn't serious but I wouldn't be shocked if there's some fracture there or something. It looks so bad in slow motion

Willian probably been one of our best players. We miss mount when he isn't there. But not too bad. We've looked good in defence and they look tired. Keep plugging away and I think we have got this. I'd like to see pulisic come on for the extra pace Azpi needs to produce better balls in this system. Tammy has looked good in parts but he needs feeding
