Real madrid vs man city looks a real cracker, glad its not being played on the same day as us. Good midweek football ahead, starting with eve vs new, then that game with us on wednesday...
-
Everton vs newcastle should be a good game. I actualy fancy newcastle here... Though the odds strongly disagree as newcastle are 5/1... the DNB is 10/3.... Everton looked extremely good vs united but since then have lost to west brom so we will see.

Yep i will be so suprised if we do not see Cech Ivan Luiz Terry Cole Mikel Lampard Ramires Mata Hazard Torres I hope i am wrong but i just can't see it being anything other than that... RDM could put in Cahill for luiz but will still probably make the biggest mistake of Ramires on RW over Moses and Torres over Sturridge up front.

The Problem in Chelsea 4-2-3-1 Formation
Hutcho replied to ╫rue Blue's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
The problem has existed for nearly 2 seasons now the difference being we had some people who were more effective up top... We have signed all these players yet only 1 started yesterday and arguably our best player from last season (Mata) was not there. The team is still set out to soak up pressure and hit people on the break whcih needs to change. We need to give all the qality young talent a chance. Players like Oscar would walk into any premier league team. For example united would have him in an instant in thier cm. Man city bought Jack rodwell and he started his first game, Garcia has also since them came in and been given a shot. It doesn't matter what formation we play but if we set up with: Lampard Mikel Ramires Hazard Bertrand Torres We are not gonna be dominating the ball and controlling things which we should be. We saw in the last 10 mins the difference Moses and Danny made. We created more. And more attacking options could make us a bit more vulnerable on he counter but if we are bossing 60% of the possession we should be able to control the tempo of the game and do it our way. "They can't score if we have the ball". I think Oscar could do great at CAM but becuase lots of problems seem to be deeper in the double pivot i think we have to put him in there, as we have all seen he moves the ball quickly and is incredibly active. Moses over ramires, i don't think this needs explaining in the slightest, we all watched the games, and Danny over torres. Finally chuck mata in there and we have a young quick team that will be able to create. I would much rather see that than us doing some sort of holding on tactics against what is lesser oposition. -
Yep that is 100% true, QPR had more possesion than us... That shouldn't be happening, look at tottenham away to reading it is all one sided. I have said it in many other threads but if RDM thinks after that game that Ramires is better at RW than Moses then something weird is going on.

As of right now the simple question is who is the bigger attacking threat? The answer to that has to be sturridge.. You could say well he only had hazard behind him and we still haven't seen how he plays with moses, hazard and mata behind him... But danny looked lively.. He got the ball and kept hold of it whilst trying to create things. All i remember torres doing is losing the ball after hazard has taken it from the halfway line. Bottom line we should just go with who is on form. Right now its Danny. Torres could make some big appearances from the bench and win his place back. Danny deserves a chance.
-
My biggest worry is if we set out like that vs QPR, logic dictates that he will be that defensive vs Juve. I hope i am wrong but i expect we will see the exact same team with Mata in for bertrand...
-
If we came out with 3 changes obviously mata was rested but lets assume he is obviously a starter. Moses Hazard Mata Sturridge We would have probably created a lot more chances.... Cancel that we WOULD have created a lot more chances. And i had a lot of faith in torres early on but i think sturridge will create more chances for himself and score more, that them 3 create... That changes out team from a 1 man attack to a 4 man attack..

Atletico is a good team yes. Falcoa is one of the best strikers in the world, however the match was not that big as it was a supercup match. We have also played Man city which is a community shield match. Both big freindly matches with a trophy at the end... Man city is a better team than Atletico madrid but we haven't had a big match this season imo... To clarify imo we have played big teams, but we haven't played big matches. Juve in the champions league is a Big match.

I will find it so hilarious if after all this, reading with thier second shot equalise in the last minute after the total domination of tot.
-
I don't like Spurs kit, it looks like they are the newcastle rejects as the made the stripes to thick... lol.
-
If we see the same lineup against juve as we did vs QPR, we will most likely lose unless we can get lucky or Hazard has one of the games of his life... Rambo Hazard Bertrand Torres Basically gives JUVE the big sign that we are gonna sit behind the ball and hope to occasionally break, please juve have 65% possession and a shit load of chances... If we play something like Oscar Mikel Moses Hazard Mata Sturridge Then we are showing some huge intent.... yes that is an extremely young and inexperienced team but tbh i don't care 1 bit... They will be fired up, be extremely quick, we will have gone from 1 creative player to 5 whilst steal maintaining our shape..... With Ivan Cahill Terry Cole and mikel in behind its not like we are going hell for leather... Also moses has great stamina and should be able to track back on his side to give some extra help... If i saw that i would be extremely happy... If we get infront then we can throw on super frankie and rambo on for some experience and to see it out if needed... Though there is little to no chance we will see that and we will probably get dominated... If Ramires starts over moses at RW then i am completely astounded... And sturridge deserves to start after his 10 mins of doing stuff up front compared to fernandos 80 min losing ball sesh.... RDM is a chelsea legend and i still have faith in him, but he needs to make these sort of changes and take a gamble by throwing them in.... I don't see what is gonna change that much by keeping that extra defensive lineup we had vs QPR especially against a higher caliber oposition... RDM spends more time than us watching them so he must know some of these changes that need to happen however i think he is trying to be too gradual... Also this is not a lets get all the old people out and the youngsters in... We have a long season and lampard etc has a big role, but i think we should make a change... Juventus in the champions league may not be the best game to do it in but we didn't do it vs QPR which was a prime oppertunity to do it... Whats the worst that can happen... :blue scalf:

Can't wait for next weeks game... my first live game of the season.... Hopefully we can come out a bit more attacking next week.
-
1-1, liverpool 4 games 2 points... Makes our 4 games 10 points look much better lol.
-
Lol reina taking a year to change shoes.
-
Sunderland wasted a good chance there... Come on beat them, and keep them in the relegation spots.
-
Yeah. though mata should be back well rested and ready to go next week.... I don't see RDM making wholesale changes, but right now i would take just seeing: Hazard Mata Moses as that should cause a lot more problems... Also Hazard seems to do better when on the left, though that could just be down to mata being next to him so they can link up a bit more...
-
Man city drew which was a positive....
-
Liverpool is losing i feel a bit happier all of a sudden.
-
If moses hasn't done enough to force his way to get a start in the next prem game over rambo then i will be totally confused...
-
Its not a height thing, its more of a physicality thing.... Mikel is over 6 foot lampard is 6 foot and torres is also 6 foot, the problem is we don't have the man who will run through a wall up front any more, making these long balls extremely ineefective... If we put in danny up top, and put moses in on the right then we will be a bit better at that and also we would have more options and won't have to lump it forward.
-
We are all annoyed by some of his team selections today but as others have said we are top of the league and had 3 clean sheets. We didn't lose and he must know we were lacking today and hopefully soon he will start to initiate the changes we want to see... I.e. Danny, moses, and oscar in...
-
I CANT BELIEVE BRAZILS WONDERKID WHO COST 25 MIL IS STILL SITTING ON THE BENCH WHEN WE ARE DRAWING TO QPR... WTF IS GOING ON HERE...
-
Unlucky... Moses should definately be starting...
