This is the main thing for me... I think Mata is definitely better (as of right now) and will play in that role. de Bruyne can easily play there, but KDB can just as well do the same thing from the right, whilst giving us more width and excellent wide delivery. With Mata on the right, we will definitely be narrow. He would have to cut in more. With KDB there it gives us more freedom. He will still drift in of course, and with Azpi on the overlap we at times will have a middle 3. Can't wait to see some of the linkup play between Hazard Mata and KDB, and thats not even including Oscar who is just as good.

Tbh, i never really noticed him, in the first game. I think with the game being as one sided possesion wise as it was, that isn't necessarily a bad thing. He passed the ball well for the most part and did his job, though was never tested defensively and didn't really have to be used in transition from defence to attack as they were all so deep our more advanced players were dropping off anyway.

Up until the season the starts you can make as many changes as you want to your team... After the season starts, you are allowed one transfer every gameweek for free... (You don't have to use it). For every transfer over that you get fined 4 points. So you can make as many changes as you want within in your team. So change whatever formation you want. However any transfers over the one free one you get will cost you 4 points. You also get two wildcards where you can make as many transfers as you want without getting charged.

I really want to pick him, but i am a bit tentative without knowing who Mourinho's main team will be as we have so many options, some of them arn't gonna be auto starters. Especially as Hazard and Mata are.

Essien Oscar KDB Mata Hazard Schurrle/Moses to rotate for the wide positions. And Oscar to sometimes move up and Rambo/Lampard to rotate in there.

I assume he means, that if one person is doing it the rest don't have to do much, but if you find something that you think would be good to be included then you can contribute to it as well...

Or he kept him out longer because he felt he was in great shape. Either way, he would have been impressed by what he saw yesterday, even if it was in a pre season friendly.

Ok that sounds fine. If BluesMaster wants to do the lot then that's fine, but if you want a group to rotate doing it, then you can count me in.

On the Match Previews front, as i am sure most people don't want to have to do 60 odd in a season. We could have a group of people who take it in turns doing one. I am sure several people wouldn't mind doing one once every month or two. So if we got 10 people say, then just do it on a rota or something. Just an idea. Edit: I would be happy to be one of those. Maybe 10 could be a bit extreme, but if there were at least say 4 other people then that would be fine i reckon.

The only thing that is certain is that you do not know that for certain.

Essien performed like it was 5 years ago which was nice to see. Could have used him last season in there. KDB was as good as I am sure we had all hoped. And Mourinho must see it as well which is why he was given the extra time. Hazard was as expected. Gonna be a great season. Lukaku out performed ba even excluding the penalty. Wallace looked very promising. All in all I'm fairly happy with the first game back.

Much better performance than the first game of last season's pre season. Really great to see we actually have at least 2 very good players for each position. Really looking forward to seeing his "best" team and seeing how they all gel.

Well not really from one pre season game. Mata and Hazard are auto picks obviously. So its just about who we play on the right. Oscar/Schurrle/KDB. Oscar i think we should play central, but deeper alongside someone like de rossi if we sign him, and failing that someone like essien. I liked what i saw from KDB last season. And even in just a pointless pre season game, his delivery has been much better than what we have seen all last season from Oscar. And delivery isn't really game dependant as a good ball is a good ball. So he should be able to provide some width etc. Schurlle can still have a big role in the team, but he will have to earn his place as i think KDB outperformed him last season.

De Bruyne to hazard. Won't be the last time we hear that.

I think i have seen enough to say our starting 3 should definitely be: KDB MATA HAZARD.

Our free kick and corners look so much better.
