Too bad we didn't went for him when Spurs did. I rate this guy highly!

Those stats don't say anything because Pogba was playing a different role than Oscar was. Oscar was often a playmaker on the ten or sometimes a winger, and should have a higher goal and assist tally in 173 apps in that position. Although his goal and assist tally actually isn't that bad, I thought it'd be lower. Contributed to 60 goals in 173 games, that's more than 1 in 3. Pogba plays deeper and more as a CM, and has an equal goal and assist tally. Plus if you'd put in interceptions, successful tackles, aerial duels won and pass percentage I'm afraid Oscar would look far from as good as you try to make him shine out with those stats compared to Pogba (I know you weren't serious). But, wether you look at the stats or just viewing experience joy/intuition/... I still find Pogba seriously overpriced. But hasn't that already been said a 1000 times?

Please Jesus, give me K2!!

fixed that for you

Sums up my thoughts exactly, I agree almost completely, except for 5 & 8. Iva can be both CB/RB backup. And even in 4-2-4 if we're in need of a goal I'd play two real strikers and Hazard on LW. Not always, but when we're playing offensively. And which CB's would you play if everyone fit? I'd play Zouma + Terry, or Zouma + new CB.

never noticed how alike they look

I don't think that's such a good formation... With Kenedy and Willian we have pace on the sides and we have width, but against any decent opposition I'm afraid we'd always lose the battle for midfield with Hazard not doing much defensive work and two forwards. We'd have a very offensive line-up but with only three defenders (and Willian and Kenedy helping in defense as fullbacks as well) we'd have to pick the ball out of our own net too often I'm afraid. Plus we haven't got Bonucci. And allthough I'm curious as to how we'd do with a 3-5-2 I'm afraid Conte won't play one and stick with the 4-2-4. This is very solid in defense and we would not concede many goals. We have a slow back three (apart from Zouma) and with a defensive midfield (not only Matic as DM but also Kante as btb) plus Dave as fullback and Willian who allthough a winger does do his defensive duties I can see this defense work. However, the offense isn't good, I'm afraid. With Fabregas feeding balls to Hazard and Costa we'd have some creativity but everything is going through the middle and there's no width. And we know Dave is terrible offensively (although I like the guy)... I think, with the players we currently have, our best line-up (in the 4-2-4 Conte will play) is something like: And if we need more goals then get Pedro off, move Hazard to his position, and put Michy Batman on (or in case Pedro is performing well and willian isn't, get willian of for Bats and move Hazard to Willian's position). Allthough that defence needs fixing. I'd welcome 1 CB and 1 FB, preferably a LB, so Azpi can take Iva's position and Terry can be a sup. We'd have a good bench as well, Matic for CM, Cuadrado/Kenedy for wingers, Michy/Remy for striker or second striker, Terry/Cahill for CB and Iva for FB. And Begovic for GK of course.

Not gonna happen I think. In what world would we sell Diego Costa for £40m and buy Lukaku for £60m? That's putting us back in the striker department AND £20m! I mainly think Costa's injured. Don't see him leave.

Willian's dribbling and runs have been great too!

I like our pressing. I'm especially enjoying Cesc and his workrate. He could always pick out the good passes (like the one that launched Willian) but I saw him defending a lot and putting in great tackles. Commentator picked up on it as well. I'm pleased. Hope he keeps it up. Great not to see Ivanovich on haha (i know it's because of an injury) Not really impressed with Moses, Matic, RLC and Traore. Would like to see Bats come on. Come on you Blues!

Right now, 6 and a half more hours. There's always a countdown clock on the forum mainpage as well

I heard (but who knows?) they're looking at spending that newly acquired Juve money on Higuain's replacement and are thinking of placing a bid for Lacazette. But with all these made-up rumours, who knows what is happening?

Matic was soooo good in our title-winning season. But apparently that's an unpopular opinion on this board after his horrible season this year.
-
I highly doubt that's true, but if it is, Juve are idiots

There is, but I get what you mean. You believe consistently underperforming means he's not underperforming, he's just performing to his (lower) level, and I get that. I just compared it to something else; I meant he's underperforming considering the price tag we paid for him or considering our expectations we have/had of him. A player *CAN* consistently underperform considering fan's expectations or his price tag, no? Anyway, I kinda like Oscar. He's a likeable chap. And yes I'm not so happy with his performances or his lack of output. But I wouldn't tell him to fuck off, he's a Chelsea player and gets my support. Maybe he just isn't the player we thought he was, but he's still trying his best and not slacking and for that he earns my support and he should earn more than a fuck off from Atlas Lion.
-
Well aren't you just our most supportive fan! While I agree Oscar has been underperforming lately and arguably since we bought him, he's still a Chelsea player and not even our worst

4 in 3 I thought? EDIT: Dammit @Hybrid Angel beat me to it!

Not sure if trolling?

He looks a bit like James Franco

Lukaku might've picked up an injury though. And City aren't out, not yet at least. There's still a return to be played, no?

Alternate Premier League Table 15-16
Hostedenis replied to Hostedenis's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Another matchday passed, and here's the next update. City take the lead back in the APLT, with Leicester having drawn a par 3 game. Leicester are now second, tied with Arsenal. United have finally played a game to par again, something they hadn't done in 7 games and caused the steepest of all declines this season, yes, even steeper than any we've had. And we go up a bit, nice. We gain 2 points, having won a par 1 game. Still a long way to go to fourth place, not sure if we'll make it, but I'm savouring the day. It was a good day. I like how Costa, Willian and Mikel played! Zouma good as well. I know a lot of people were happy with Oscar, but I wasn't really. Liverpool drop one point in the APLT, so we're now 6 point below United and 7 below Liverpool in the APLT. Which means, since Liverpool is 7 ahead of us in the real table, we've had an equally hard first 20 games. United however, is 10 points ahead in the real table, but only 6 in the APLT. A massive points difference, and that has to do with the fact that the APLT compensates for easier and more difficult games. United have had an easier first 20 games to their season than us, and their 10 point lead should only be looked at as a 6 point lead. Happy New Year boys!- 21 replies

Alternate Premier League Table 15-16
Hostedenis replied to Hostedenis's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
And I'm back, with more APLT! This week, we see the top go down as both Leicester and City draw a par 3 game, making them both drop 2 points. Leicester and Arsenal are now joined top in the real table (with Arsenal leading on goal difference) but Leicester is still outperforming them and in first place in the APLT, meaning that although they have the same amount of points, they've played more difficult games. In fact, even City, who have 3 points less in the real table, are outperforming Arsenal by 1 point according to the APLT. United is still going down while Liverpool played to par, and both have now in fact been overtaken by Tottenham, who take fourth place deservedly.- 21 replies
