  1. Not just that. Sending out Saliba on loan while his team mate Fofana who Rodgers plays, looks quality, meanwhile Arteta doesnt trust Saliba who was rated higher than Fofana. His tactical flaws have been evident way throughout. Any other owners would have sacked Arteta by now. Emery proved tonight that he is a good manager. Tactically outsmarted Arteta both games. Arsenal should be beating Villareal. Even the other games they have gone through, they not looked convincing in any of the games apart from when they beat Slavia Prague away from home.
  2. Pepe got a lot of flack last season tbh, but yh agreed. Partey too has been below par this season. Was absolutely awful tonight. People make excuses and say they do not have squad to challenge for top 4 etc. Was our squad top 4 material last season? Not necessarily but we did it. Too many excuses made for them.
  3. He was hyped up too much tbh. He had a bigger reputation than a lot of managers because he worked with Pep and won FA Cup, but he has been tactically really bad this season. It is crazy that there is more pressure on Ole and Jose losing their jobs than Arteta yet both are better placed in league. Spurs obviously sacked Mourinho now, but Arteta seems to get away with a lot. I genuinely thought Arsenal might win Europa and have won of their seasons where they do shit but have some cup glory and there fans talk like they have had a brilliant season but no, they were dull and had no real ideas tonight.
  4. One person hoping Kroenke stays is Arteta because that is the only way he stays in the job. 9th in the table and blown again another brilliant chance of reaching the UCL.
  5. Jesus christ. It is the same on the other forum. People taking shots at Lamps and rightly so people are coming in and hitting out against those who are taking shots at him. Lamps regardless of what he said played a huge part in us getting through the UCL, finishing top and eased through the group. He is a legend and one of us and I am sure will be delighted in us reaching the final. Can't people just be happy we are in a final. Started by Lamps and finished by Tuchel and hopefully best to come . You would think Lamps is some villain the way people are taking unnecessary shots at him. It is a brilliant night for all those connected with Chelsea!
  6. I think they may bring Liverpool's game against WBA forward to midweek instead of weekend. Liverpool are scheduled to play them on May 16th, however in the week leading up to it, Liverpool do not have a midweek fixture, so think they may push that back there and have United and Liverpool play on that weekend as United are not scheduled to play that weekend. Seems only realistic option.
  7. I'm actually really annoyed that game did not go ahead with United and Liverpool. United still had a purpose to play for. Not wanting to gift City the title win, especially from their fierce rivals Liverpool and also they aren't mathematically guaranteed top 4. By the time the game is rearranged, United will be guaranteed top 4 and will have focus clearly set on Europa League final. Not happy about that at all. That team Unite put out yesterday, let's see if they put out that strong of a team in rearranged fixture...
  8. TBH, he is up there with the best CF on the planet right now. He is very animated on the pitch but he works his socks off and plays to win. I don't think it will happen but he literally looks a complete striker right now.
  9. Henrique was/is one of Mount's biggest critics. There were countless criticism of Mount from him. Waiting for the day for Henrique to come and admit he is wrong. Coincidentally or not, has not signed in for a while, since Mount has stepped up another level 🤔
  10. I think we're used to Werner not scoring now but he was fantastic today. Work rate, brilliant assist and his pace terrorised their defence. Mount brilliant as usual. Havertz top class. I was expecting a tough game, however we made that easily. Gilmour struggled a bit, however has not played that much so I guess that is understandable. Big pressure on Liverpool tomorrow now. Also I am relieved that when we go away to City next week, regardless of result we still will be in top 4, as I know how difficult of a game that will be. Bring on Madrid!
  11. Although he went off slightly earlier, I still give my MOTM to Mount. He was fantastic once again. Constantly got fouled, however he always looked to make things happen and caused Fernandinho nightmares. His awareness is so good and he is always one step ahead. Love the way he receives the ball and just sharply turns away from an opposing player and leaves them in no man's land. Chilwell's performances getting a lot stronger again too. Had a fantastic game also as did rest of team.
  12. CHO is not easily ahead. If that was the case, he would be starting every game at RWB. James in fact has probably played more games at RWB than CHO has and right now it is clear that James is the favoured choice. When TT initially started, CHO was first choice, however James has definitely been preferred more recently because he provides a better balance of defence and attack. I also think you need to look into the bigger picture than just stats. You mentioned CHO having 2 assists. One of those was a nice delicate pass for Havertz against Palace last week, however that is where stats are just pointless sometimes, because James is more than capable of doing that same pass, however it matters if someones places the ball at the back of the net. James has had 2 assists under TT anyway. One against Barnsley in the cup for Abraham's goal which was fantastic offensive play from James and he also assisted Pulisic goal against Palace last week no? The stats might not officially count that because it deflected of a Palace player on the way but that is arguably his assist. This is why using stats to compare CHO or other players like Moses is pointless. What would be more efficient is seeing the created chances from open play because I am positive James stats would be quite high. For instance against Atletico, James made 10 open play crosses whilst also making the joint most created chances that game. Not his fault no one got on the end of that. Against United in the 0-0 draw at the Bridge, he put in a fantastic cross, which just evaded Werner. So in my recollection that is 2 assists under TT. Also I think you must have forgotten our early season form if you have said you do not remember any WOW or MOTM games from James. I thought he was fantastic against Burnley when we battered them 4-0. Was also brilliant against Leeds in the 3-1 game. He was solid and looked quality. I would say that arguably coming up until end of December he was arguably our POTY at that point. Azpi could not get a look in because James was just a monster. He still is, just not played as much under TT, although like I said in recent weeks that has changed. He plays more than CHO does at RWB now.
  13. Just what @Jypesaid. The club rated him very highly but he had James and Azpi both in front of him. His contract ran out in 6 months. Lamps brought him on while we were 1-0 down to Arsenal last season and he made an impact. But we were spoilt for choice in that position. He made the best move for himself. Now he has got an improved contract and is a nailed on starter for a PL team who play good football. James has had a very good season. I would say he was better under Lamps due to playing in the RB position. He has not featured as regularly under Tuchel but generally in the games he has played, he has played well. Wouldn't swap him for most RB in the prem. Like Mount, people criticizing James will soon be eating their words, I promise that.
  14. Lamptey is obviously more exciting to watch because he is a real livewire and looks to take on his man at every attempt. But I don't agree that he is better than James. James has his odd lapses defensively but he is a better defender than Lamptey. Much better crosses of the ball and has one of the best deliviries around. I don't see how you could suggest Lamptey is better on the ball than James. James technique is one of his best assets.
  15. Exactly, there is no guarantee teams will pay that money, especially the losses teams faced during the pandemic.
  16. Well will other teams match our asking price is the first thing? If not, then he will be a valuable member of the squad to have around.
  17. I don't expect Giroud to be here next season and I also wouldn't expect Aguero to start every game if he is here.
  18. Funny thing is, he is still our top scorer. I disagree that he did not take his chance, because a lot of other players in attack have also struggled. He sometimes has taken the hit for a bad team performance by coming off at H/T and also been recently injured, but I just don't think the likes of him and Giroud is what TT is maybe looking for. I think he has been unlucky. If we do end up getting Aguero, I hope we keep him around tbh. He has flaws but he scores goals.
  19. I actually prefer West Ham winning over Leicester. A draw would be ideal but Leicester winning means that they pull away from us and then we are realistically chasing 4th spot. West Ham winning means that both 3rd and 4th spot is in our sight and we have both of them to play. Both teams also have extremely difficult fixtures and if it stays this way, I am confident we will finish above both of them.
  20. Front three of Mount, Pulisic and Havertz are all aged between 21 and 22. The current quality and potential is frightening.
  21. I would like to think Zouma would have been in the central defender in that back three regardless.
  22. Perfect response after last week's collapse. And a landmark I was starting to doubt would happen under TT. We scored more than 2 in a game and honestly should have been a lot more. Havertz had a very good game but he honestly could of had a hattrick today. But a goal and assist and big strides in improvement. Totally neglected all service to Zaha also for the whole game. They only had 1 attempt all game which was there goal. Was expecting a much tougher game but wow we were brilliant. Christensen has been brilliant but thanks god TT thought smart and played the more physical defenders to deal with Palace strikers. Zouma has his critics, but he is such a good outlet for set pieces. How many goal has he got this season. Not far off double figures. I admit, was a nervous wreck after Liverpool got that late winner but the boys kept composed and won convincingly.
  23. Seems like he gets a wake up call at his point of the season and plays to his full potential. Please keep it up.
  24. Deja vu! Exact goal he scored last season at this ground in same kit.
