  1. Give him a break today. He done well, scored and earned the free kick for the winning goal. I can't fault him for today, he done well. Also had good physical contests with the Arsenal defenders, with him coming up on top quite a few occasions. Give him credit, most of us did not want him to even play today. That being said him scoring or playing well does not mean he is back to his best. Nice summary I think
  2. People criticize Mikel a lot but these games he shows his true worth to the team. Rarely loses the ball, holds of players well and anticipates the ball excellently. He didnt put a foot wrong today and when you have a holding mid like that it is so asuring for your advanced attackers eg Mata, Hazard Oscar so they can focus on attacking. Him and Ramires were brilliant. Well played to JT as well, you wouldnt have realized he had such a stressful week but I guess that is how he is, always focuses solely on the football when he plays so nothing new. So happy we have got that win because many people were claiming we were only top due to not facing "big teams" and today we arguably faced the most in form team in the Premiership and IMO we deserved the win. I don't take any game for granted but it looks good for us considering we have Norwich next week at home. Another plus, we beat them without Drogba and Torres stepped up today so credit to the team and RDM. Positive start and this win highlights that we are serious title contenders and shows Oscar, Hazard and Mata are capable of playing in the same team. Worked well today, only thing I want to see now is Hazard get is deserved goal from open play. Hopefully we see that either on Tuesday or next Saturday.
  3. Actions speak louder than words mate. Although I really like Oscar, you must start to really see that Mata is still a key player for us. You judged Oscar being better over Mata over 2 games. Mata showed today why he will always be our key playmaker. Sure you have second thoughts now, because Mata was pure class today.
  4. This is the only match I can say Cazorla has been leats effective in the Premiership. Well played Ramires (especially) and co
  5. Credit RDM and I have always been on Torres case as some would know. But credit where it is due, brilliant work ethic from Torres. Worked well on all accounts, won majority of his headers, scored and created the free kick for our second goal
  6. Today shows why Mata is so key to this club. Catalysts of both goals
  7. Jenkinson has a good season so far but tbh I reckon our wingers can really hurt him today as with Gibbs as well. I also hope we win this today so we can shut the Arsenal fans up who keep saying we can't beat them without Drogba.
  8. Chelsea TV said Luiz is starting and Lampard misses out so where are people getting these teams from?
  9. Actually quite happy Walcott doesnt start. Usually plays well against us. Quite happy to see Cahill playing as well, always feel assured of our defence when he plays
  10. LMAO the way he just outmuscled Carragher to the floor. Didnt he also bully him like hell in the Premiership game. Lukaku is a beast. Who ever is watching the Carling cup highlights would have seen the way he made Carragher look like a kid. Makes me laugh when I keep watching that.
  11. The difference is they look equally as good with Podolski upfront. Made a decent start so far. I know for a fact Giroud will be a sub. Gervinho-Podolski-Cazorla looks equally as threatening. The way they played against City, they could destroy anyone if they play like that every week.
  12. I actually think RDM might spring a surprise and start Moses upfront for this match due to his direct nature which might unsettle the Arsenal defence and he is physically strong as well. Does anyone read to much into Mata starting yesterday night with indications that he might be on the bench against Arsenal. Just did not expect him to start the game so was wandering if he was planning Hazard-Oscar-Ramires. But due to his performance, maybe not but I have seen a lot of people mention Oscar tracks back a lot which makes me think RDM may put Mata on the bench. Will be interesting. This is a match where I don't mind seeing Ramires on the RW if RDM chooses not to play him in the double-pivot but I do not want to see both him and Bertrand on the wings. Although their defence has been pretty good this season I know for a fact it is still suspectible to error so I hope we have a right go at them. Should be a great match
  13. Wouldnt judge anything based on tonight's game. Had Lampard he probably would have scored 4 goals himself. Good win but lets not get carried away because after all it was their reserve team.
  14. If BR stays at Liverpool, he should definitely stay which I am sure he will regardless. He gave Evra the runaround and I just laugh at the way he skinned Danny Rose. I agree about Wolves, they were overly poor but they rested players, mainly their whole team which explains why they were so crap. They missed an open goal, God knows how. Every single player could have had a goal, Wolves were that bad. Was a joy to watch though
  15. Tbh Piazon looks a great prospect but I think Sterling is on another level to him. BTW have known him since a very young age and know what he is capable of so I am not just thinking he is great because of the media. But 17 and already a starter for Liverpool and arguably the best performer this season. He has pace, dribbling and trickery. As he gets older and builds in muscle he will have it all. I really do like Piazon though and think he will make it big here, but the thing is Sterling will improve by miles. Game by game he looks better. There in no evidence in the claim that you don't think he will improve much. He is only 17. Most players that age don't even make it into a PL team alone yet alone a club like Liverpool.
  16. Just watched the replay of the first half and omg one word for Mata: fantastic. Piazon has also looked very sharp on his official competitive debut for the club. Mata's first touch is pure class, just a joy to watch and his passing quality as well
  17. He done his job, they havent got past him much and has looked good on the ball plus the commentator said himself that he has been back to his best and it might be one of the "bargains of the season" or something like that
  18. Essien has been quality this match. Reminds me of the days he use to totally boss the midfield. Judging by what I have seen this evening I wouldnt mind having him in on board here. Put in a decent shift against City as well. Chelsea's loss, Real Madrid's gain
  19. You must really underestimate what Mata done for the club last season. As much as Oscar has impressed me, I don't think he will match the stats shown of Mata's last seasons in goals and assists.
  20. Spot on mate. We can't say Oscar is better than Mata and Hazard because of 2 good games, quite oblivious to do that. Regardless how good Oscar has been for Brazil, Mata has been a consistent performer in Europe. Oscar will be a very great player here hopefully, but we don't need the remarks that he is better than Hazard and Mata over 2 Chelsea games.
  21. Doubt we are likely to see any of the youth players apart from Piazon. It is still a game I would like to see but there are other first team players who need to play such as Marin and Sturridge if fit, Moses, possibly Malouda. So doubt we will see any of the "youth players" apart from the one I mentioned, possibly Blackman and Bamford (if lucky).
  22. The idea of him up against Jenkinson, Moses will literally run rings round him all day long. If Moses can tear Sagna apart he way he did, Lord knows what is in store for Carl Jenkinson.
