What kind of fan wants us to finish second to another team? How you have come up with that conclusion I do not know
-
We have beaten Stoke every single game at home since they returned to the premiership. I expect another win here, last season we were quite fortunate to win but regardless this should be another 3 points and the history goes in our favour. Oscar had a brilliant game against Juventus but I think RDM might be wise to rest him for this match due to the physicality of Stoke City and due to his slight build and not being in England for long may be best if he was a sub as they will really want to rough him up. I was watching the matchnight phone in after the game yesterday night and they made a good point in saying that because of one brilliant performance for Oscar, everyone will start labelling him the next so and so. He don't need that and now Mata is fully fit and I would say this is a game we need to take advantage of due to the other big teams fixtures. Also play Hazard as he is a key player and we need him playing and rest him against Wolves and also give Moses a start as we can get at Stoke's fullbacks for pace. Cech Ivanovic - Luiz - Terry - A.Cole Ramires - Mikel Moses - Mata - Hazard Torres/ Sturridge (If fit)
-
Thing is we conceded 2 goals but the annoying thing is that there was no striker who was quality enough to replace Torres and we could have easily bought a striker to add competition to Torres but we did not. Had we had someone on the bench week in week out with the same quality as Torres, no doubt he would have been taken off but there wasnt and that reason Torres played whole match but did not show any signs of a striker to fear. Ivanovic was more threatening going forward than Torres. We need our strikers to stand up and Torres is not doing it. He had one good game against Newcastle, the rest he has been awful. The sooner we get a world class striker such as Falcao will help us along way. Yes Mikel played shit and Terry should have done better but it is worrying that Torres is a mere spectator in the match and I am sure it is starting to piss everyone off here, including RDM. I hope Sturridge is fit for saturday because he puts twice the work ethic that Torres does in a match
-
Torres has been equally shit. Doesnt deserve to be number 9 here, he should be getting goals but does fuck all, I have had enough of him. If Sturridge can't make it for Stoke I would even rather see Moses up front than Torres
-
Ok fair play to Oscar, scored 2 good goals and has been good this match but now is the time where I would say bring Mata and Moses on for maybe Oscar and Ramires. Sometimes RDM is just takes to long to make the change IMO Edit:Ramires off for Bertrand but I still want Moses on.
-
Lampard has had a very good game: agreed?
-
I want to see Moses on second half for defo, will cause all sorts of problems
-
We have got a gem in Oscar OMD what a goal ! I still can't wait to see Mata-Hazard-Oscar in one team
-
Not true at all. He has been very defensive minded sometimes, especially away from home but I think you are forgetting we recorded some of our most impressive and attractive wins under him last season eg QPR Napoli. We also played attractive football against Newcastle. We will see more free-flowing football as the weeks go on. (Hopefully)
-
Funny, the mixed reactions we get game after game with Torres. Then if he assist and don't score there will be ones who say well he contributed enough and he is getting back to his best etc. Regardless I want Sturridge starting one of those games, he deserves his opportunity.

This isnt MSN or Facebook so not to be disrespectful can you write in proper English so people can understand you better please
-
I agree with you but I am just looking at the positives as well. We had 2 clear penalties turned down and had decent chances when we made subsitutions. I guess our real test comes against Arsenal. I think Sturridge should have started anyway, my main worry is how we fare against the big teams but although QPR were on the brink of relegation last season they are a decent team. There are positives to build on as well, I am mainly annoyed at RDM tactical decisions today
-
Funny how there are mixed reactions Torres game after game. Regardless of when he scores I always have my doubts, I just think it would be assuring if you knew you have a striker who is going to perform/score on a weekly basis like Drogba which Torres don't seem to do and why so much of us are left in limbo over him. When Sturridge is given his chance up front I am sure he will take his opportunity though
-
I was quite surprised that he decided not to chuck on Oscar or Cesar looking for a goal when we had another sub available. It is the big games such as Arsenal, United, City etc where we will see what he is really made of. We struggled in a lot of the so called "big games" last season. Only a fortunate win over City at home is where we came out victorious in our league fixtures.

TBH I like Mikel, sometimes I think Lamps needs to be dropped. He is ageing and is a fantastic servant but we are still over reliant on him. I thought those days were over when AVB took over but seems not. I would like to see Mikel and Ramires often. Mikel has the balance and is brilliant at building up play while we need to see Ramires in the CM department. That is why I was supportive of Modric coming here but obviously never materialized.
-
True, but I am sure RDM will go with a much more offensive outlook against Stoke which I think has been most people's concern (defensive layout). Also Newcastle at home, Wigan away and QPR aqay last season we only picked up 1 point compared to 7 this season. I do agree with you some ways, when we face stronger opposition I do worry. especially in the striking department
-
People seem to forget that we are still top of the league. 10 points out of possible 4 games is fine by me and we beat Stoke every season at home so hopefully we have another 3 points next week against them. Nothing major to worry about
-
Lets not panic, we played Newcastle and had doubts of the "defensive" outlook but we outplayed them and were very fluid in play, especially in the opening half of play. But I agree with others as well though, why sign a bunch of attacking wingers and not play them. Funny to think that even Marin is to come back in the foil as well, really disappoints me sometimes but same way still going to give my full support
-
Bertrand at RB for a start, there is something wrong with that, we have Ivanovic and Cesar at RB and Bertrand is a LB. Also no way should Ivanovic start at CB when we have Luiz and Cahill fit tbh mate
-
Thanks god your not Chelsea manager
-
Torres will start, he didnt play in the week at all so there is no need for RDM to drop him out. The Juventus game is 4 days after, so quite a decent rest for most players as well
-
QPR havent bonded well as a team at all so far this season. They also missed out on two of their top transfer targets in Dawson and Carvalho. I don't think this game will be easy at all, hopefully we will win as we are the better team regardless. Also when we played QPR at Loftus road last season how unlucky were we. Played 3 quarters of the match with 9 men and did not even concede a goal and we also had about 3 clear chances to make the scores level. I want revenge for that PL game last season even though we ended up beating them in the FA Cup and 6-1 in the league. Hopefully another win for us and if we win this and Stoke at least we have won all our "easier games" on paper before we face the trip to the Emirates
-
Agreed and the only way realistically he will go to Real is if Benzema and Higuain left, both which I don't see happening. I reckon us and City will likely be frontrunners for his signature
-
Basically Falcao can do anything. He can score with both feet nearly as well as each other. Judging by his strikes against Bilbao in the final you would know which foot he is. Despite not being the tallest he reminds me of Tim Cahill, both are brilliant in the air and the headers he scores are brilliant and just out of no where. look at all his goals for last season if you manage to keep up. Hopefully Nando makes the headlines though but I do admire Falcao as a striker, must say
