  1. You can't take the ball of Hazard or Mata when they have it
  2. Paul Merson was saying on Gilette Soccer Saturday that in his opinion, Moses has been brought in for the big games and this is where he will have quite an impact. In some ways I agree with him, I think he will start a few games against weaker opposition but with his dribbling, pace and trickery he could also be a very good wildcard change. For instance there was many games last season where I thought we could do with a Moses type player to spark up the game. Look at Liverpool at home and away last season, Arsenal away, Tottenham at home and many other of the big games. We had the lack of a player who runs directly at the opposition which is why I am happy we now have the services of Moses. I would like the idea of Moses-Hazard-Mata as a trio behind Torres. Quite a fearsome trio to be up against IMO
  3. Dembele is a creative deep lying playmaker. Just brilliant at dribbling with the ball as well
  4. Brilliant holding mid, fantastic player. The fans who criticize him are clearly blind-sided and don't see that he does his job brilliantly. Would not have any DM over him and I genuinely mean that. He is going to grow with us
  5. Mikel was astounding today, brilliant holding mid, did not make a mistake today
  6. 3 out of 3, brilliant stuff and we got the scum (QPR) next in the league and they have Bosingwa in defence
  7. I don't think anyone should doubt RDM anymore. That is the best piece of attacking football I have seen with RDM in charge here. We have been fluid in passing, exciting to watch, Bertrand has looked brilliant on the left and Torres has been brilliant along with Hazard again. What a brilliant half
  8. Chelsea fans got their wish, looks like Meireles coming of ahah lol
  9. Especially considering how good Sturridge was down at their ground last season. Having Mikel, Merieles and Bertrand at home seems a little cautious. Quite annoyed considering Sturridge changed game on Wednesday. We are just isolating Sturridge now, he will hand in transfer request if we keep treating him like this
  10. Looks like RDM is more worried of their attack than Pardew is of ours
  11. The fact that RDM has Mikel and Merieles in the holding 2 shows he is really aware of the attacking threat they pose. Can understand his thinking and analysis of Newcastle, we don't want a repeat of last year. Hopefully another brilliant performance, as usual looking forward to seeing Hazard especially
  12. Talksport saying that groundsmen are doing their checks and how both Chelsea and Sunderland chose not to cover their pitch in some "sprinkling crown", something like that and that the rain shows no signs of stopping at the Bridge. Would be awful if the game was called off, I would be livid
  13. Ivanovic is actually a decent crosser that is the thing. Remember when we beat Blackburn last season 1-0 at Ewood Park and Lampard scored that header, one of the best outside of the foot crosses I have seen. Also done a similar cross against Napoli the 4-1 game for Drogba to score IIRC. He also made 5 assists in the 10/11 campaign.
  14. Maybe initial fee but total fee, whether it be with clauses is around £25m
  15. Because so much people seem to forget what Malouda has done for the club and act as if he has been a flop for his whole time here which is untrue, so I just make fair comparisons
  16. I do have high hopes for Oscar but I think £25m is maybe a bit too much for him regardless of potential. We kind of got ripped off there considering he was bought for almost double Cazorla's fee and nearly triple the amount we payed for Moses. Regardless, though I do agree with you, has been a summer to enjoy with the signings and there still may be more, but doubt it
  17. Why not, certainly not "suicide". He destroyed Newcastle last season
  18. Seriously, the comments such as "2 in 3, what are the haters saying" are absurd. Really happy that Torres got his goal but for the majority of the match was crap and did not offer anything. Had it not been for Cole he would not have been on the scoresheet, The reality is yes he scored against a promoted team but was poor IMO. When we face better teams with all respect to Reading he will find it tougher. But what many of the fans alike at the Bridge tonight saw, was a player who was not working hard and just slowed it down for the team. But it is like if Torres is finding the situation tough, he resorts to his method of not trying enough or thinking any shot or run he has at the opposition may flop and lead to jeers. I am sure RDM would have noted he was rather invisible last night ad I am sure he is thinking of adding another striker but at least he got a goal. Surely a massive confidence boost for him
  19. Was at the game tonight, I am going to summarize a few points I have picked up on, negative and positive: 1- Hazard was magnificent tonight, very unselfish, could of easily got himself a goal at the end but decided to pass. Already got 5 assists and you just have a sense of excitement when he is on the ball. Believe he can become a future legend here. 2- This game shows the unpredtictability of the Premier League. They gave us quite a good contest and had to work really hard for the win 3- Although Ivanovic has 2 in 2 so good for him but he looks a bit more weak defensively and quite slower than I thought. An alternative faster RB is needed quite soonish. 4- At home games against weaker oppositions I would rather see our "proper wingers" start on the flanks rather than Ramires. I would like to see Ramires in the centre in his usual position sometimes but I would like to Sturridge on the RW in these kind of home games, he made quite a difference coming on tonight. 5- Hope Mikel is not given criticism by people because although we conceded 2 goals in first half, he actually done his job. Re-gathering possession, spraying around passes and had brilliant balance on the ball. Lampard was decent but sometimes we can do with a bit more pace within the pivot. Ramires like I stated and Oscar there sometimes, like we saw second half. 6- Really happy Torres got his goal tonight but let's not get it wrong, despite the goal it was another frustrating night for him. He was invisible for a lot of the match and it was like playign with 10 men a lot of the time. We have won our first 2 games but if we go with Torres and Sturridge for a whole season with Torres expected to lead the line I reckon we might struggle in some periods so I still feel a 3rd striker could do here considering the amount of games we will have and some of them, much more ruthless opposition. 7- Confidence is a major thing. Torres was poor most of the match but as soon as he had his goal, he was confident in his ability to run at defenders, make brilliant runs etc. When he is going through a drought, it clearly dampens his confidence but fair play to Ashley Cole who played him in unselfishly when a shot looked the most likely option for him. But now Torres has his PL goal for the season underway, hopefully he is able to add more against Newcastle.
  20. Although I have my doubt about Torres and have given him criticism I do believe he should start tonight. Dropping him is only going to make his confidence lower and because we are at home against a recently promoted team who I expect us to beat with all respect to Reading it would be good if he can get on the scoresheet in front of our fans and give him that boost. Hope he really scores tonight
  21. At least 75% of people on these forums seem to dislike Malouda and think he is garbage, yet when Torres is criticized they are the same ones to defend him even though Malouda has done much more during his Chelsea career than Torres
