From that video alone I quite liked the way he dealt when the ball was passed behind him but he still managed to get it on his feet and score. His decisions seems good too, when to pass and when to shoot, plus he has quick feet to get through tight spaces. BUT then again, that is only from a video showing good things. I don't necessarily think that he would be a bad signing, I think the reaction around here is due to that we were 'linked' to players like vidal, kroos, martinez, etc. and when the name paulinho came up it will sound underwhelming compared to those, and rightly so. But we have no idea if any of the rumours have any substance or not. This is the time of the season where the media will link any players unsettled to chelsea.

It was always going to be a tough choice between the two. On one hand we have one of the best GK in the world at only 21 that could potentially serve the club for the next decade, while on the other hand we have a still world class GK that has been a great servant for the last decade. It's a good problem to have though.

He wouldn't be a terrible 3rd choice, but he is paid the wage of a nailed in first teamer. If he doesn't cost us £18m/year and is on less than £70000/week then it's not a problem. But the reality is that he is the most expensive player in the books at the moment, in terms of what he costs us per year in wages and amortized transfer fee. And I think all of us agree that he's had enough chances, even if there are no transfer fees it would still be alright because surely no one will want to pay his high wage + transfer fee, we just need to get that 18m/year liability of the books . If he takes a wage cut then it is a different story, but will he or won't he? He should, because he is terrible.

Well I can say that asians either think of you very highly or the opposite. The hongkong people calls white people 'gwailou' which means white ghost. I don't agree with what they say, but I can see from their point of view that because of the cultural differences and some things that are said and done in western countries are frowned upon in asian countries, which are much more conservative nations. Which east asians are we talking about here? your friends I mean.

Yeah I found humour to be a difficult thing to share even within the same race. But yeah east asian humour tends to be very different with western humour I have experienced asians understanding my humour and the western people not understanding it, and vice versa. I am accustomed to both though, so its all good for me. But most of the time I just come across as being a racist because I do multiple accents and steoreotype jokes. And most 'white washed' asians who were born/grew up in western countries that I know thinks the same, maybe not to the extent of your girlfriend. I myself am kinda in the middle, im not really a white washed asian, who talks and acts like a western person, since I've only been in NZ for 7 years and didn't grow up there, but I am also not a fob like some uni students in campus you see often still being super asian who acts like they are still in their homeland. I like the balance. You appreciate where you are from but also able to adapt to where you are right now. Maybe your girlfriend was shoved balut her whole childhood, I would think the same way as her if that was the case.
