  1. In our last 6 games vs. QPR, we've conceded only 2 goals. Not bad. I keep getting a little feeling that this game will somehow end 2-2 (unfortunately, of course). I just have this gut feeling that around the 87th minute they'll score to earn a draw.
  2. Lukaku now has as many league goals as Torres, Rooney & Aguero as well as more goals than Giroud, Podolski and Balotelli
  3. Good news: His agent has come out to say that De Bruyne isn't interested in any potential permanent move to Werder Bremen.
  4. Assuming that De Bruyne does stay here and isn't sold for whatever reason, I have to choose him. Despite him playing on the wings quite a few times and people believing that's his best position - whenever I've seen him play central he's reminded me only of Lampard when he was younger - with better passing, but not quite as good positioning (in an attacking sense).
  5. Cudicini is set to sign for LA Galaxy.
  6. AC Milan will move right away to sign DROGBA once Pato's move to Corinthians is finally sanctioned on Thursday. (I personally feel it'd be a great move for Drogba; not so great for Milan - for various reasons. I know we're now a 'top club', but Didier deserves to have played for 'one of the greatest clubs of all time' before he retires.)
  7. Barcelona have rejected an approach from Liverpool to loan David Villa. If they'll reject a loan from them, there's no reason they'd accept a loan offer from us.
  8. Arsenal have agreed a fee to sign Arda Turan. via: @TRT3SPOR
  9. PSG, QPR, Anzhi, Milan, Arsenal at a stretch, Juventus (assuming they don't get Drogba/Llorente/Suarez who they're also chasing) etc. and I'm sure there's interest from a host of Bundesliga clubs (where I expect him to end up if he doesn't actually stay at Newcastle.)
  10. Argh, told ya guys I didn't think he'd be coming and he'd be in talks with loads of other clubs!
  11. He's doing okay, but really, this game vs. Everton was his first real test since Corinthians (which he failed), and we only scraped a win. (A great win on paper nonetheless.) Still need to see much more from him.
  12. Can't wait to see how Ba, Villa, Negredo, Paulinho, Fellaini, Taison, Falcao and Higuain all fit into our team!
  13. I know I shouldn't judge players at all for their backgrounds, heritage etc, but I'm so bloody happy at the amount of African players we get at this club. They're incredible athletes and most of them have a great attitude too.
  14. Joe Cole could be decent at QPR if he's used as a rotation option with Taarabt. He's an underrated passer. It was silly to use him on the wings at Liverpool. Much more suited to playing behind a striker now.
  15. (I know this is a stupid reason to try and justify us signing a player, but he's great in our Chelsea team on Fifa 13 if you use him right! His rating doesn't reflect how good he is.)
  16. Suddenly don't feel confident about getting him. Apparently he's actually constantly in talks with lots of clubs as he has some of the worst agents in football who're just trying to get lots of cash.
  17. I get the feeling that the people who feel 'he's not good enough for a top club like Chelsea' are the same people who thought Moses wouldn't be good enough.
  18. This game is further proof that, while we no longer are so dependent on Terry, we are dependent on having a true leader (Lampard) on the field in his absence.
  19. You know, stats are a funny thing. It looked on the screen like Everton 'dominated' most of the game and that's how most pundits are viewing it, but check this - It's true that Everton spent more time in our half than we did in theirs and they looked more dangerous, but 'looks' or flashes of danger don't get your team anywhere - actual danger like our team can pose gets you somewhere.
  20. Not all games can be won with domination on the pitch and every player playing at their best. Some stadiums, fans, pitches & players simply make that an almost impossible task - something Everton have done all year. We're the first team to break that 'curse' they have on other teams this season at their own ground. This, just after beating Norwich City who took down both Arsenal & Manchester United earlier this season. Things are looking up. If we truly do sign Demba Ba after this win I'll be ecstatic.
  21. FIRST AWAY TEAM TO BEAT EVERTON THIS SEASON. WHO CARES IF IT WAS A SLOPPY, SCRAPPY WIN? IT'S 3 POINTS AGAINST A TEAM CHALLENGING FOR EUROPE!
  22. Good fucking God. Turnbull is warming up..
  23. He's very nicely all-rounded. He can do everything you ask him as a striker - and his strong point is finishing. Exactly what we need. I think I'll tear my hair out though if he does come in and just picks up where Sturridge left off - on the bench.
