I've changed my mind on Schurrle. I think he's actually exactly what we need. He tracks back, is full of stamina, and has a beast of a long-shot. With the right manager he could be a great player. Right now he's inconsistent though which is a worry. It would be lovely having Schurrle - Mata - Hazard/Moses in my opinion. It'll definitely bring more balance to the side if we line up more like that, and rotate Oscar/Mata or even put Hazard down the centre with Mata on the right some times! He's also surprisingly strong and pacey.

He's a level above Bremen. But where else could he be loaned next season (IF he doesn't come back) which'll offer him better teammates yet also play him consistently? Maybe Leverkusen? I was going to say Dortmund so that he can rotate with Gundogan in a slightly deeper role, but I'm unsure how much playing time he'd get. I want him to stay in Germany though for another season personally, I really do. He would help out greatly at the moment, but I think his chances of playing here would be limited next season, especially with (probably) even more midfielders coming in, Piazon coming back, etc. which would just ruin the progress he's been making at Werder. I can't think of any Premier League clubs which would make sense.

It looks almost certain that Dzeko is going to Dortmund next season -but does anyone else think this is a bad move? His link up play is nothing compared to Lew's so they'll have to change the way they play quite a bit. He'd fit right in at Schalke, Bremen or Bayer (although he'd probably not be first choice there!)

De Bruyne the best midfielder on the pitch so far IMO

We're finally experiencing out first major 'down' in the Roman Era. This will separate the true fans (which I believe pretty much this whole forum is!) from the bandwagon ones. It doesn't matter when you started supporting this club - only why and if you'll continue to do so - which I hope everyone on here will do. We'll come back stronger than ever. We have a shit board (in my opinion) and an awful striker; coupled with young players who don't yet know what being "Chelsea" means and play with no grit, determination or desire. But you know what else we do have? An owner who (seemingly) loves this club and will not let us fall like Liverpool. He is too prideful. If we were to finish 5th this season with no CL football next season, it's not as black & white as "no players will join us." Most players we seem interested in these days don't even play for Champions League clubs to start with so we're not exactly a downgrade! We could buy CL level players if we wanted anyway. If Roman really wanted to, he could go and buy Rooney in the Summer - offer £30m to United and offer Rooney £200k a week (in theory). My point is - our owner won't let us sink for long. I agree with the passionate opening post of this thread for the most part. Just a reminder that we're a lucky club with an owner who'll keep us at the top or thereabouts.

If Chelsea were to stop existing I'd 100% follow the Bundesliga as my main source of football. I genuinely believe they're the better league, especially when the likes of Bayern aren't AS powerful so teams like Stuttgart (won the title 5 or so seasons ago), Bremen, Dortmund, Schalke etc. can all compete for the title! They've also get the best balance of players IMO. Lots of homegrown players, but the league is still attractive to foreigners. It's got rough tackles, flair, and the absolute best atmosphere out of all the leagues. It's also said that they're the only league who actually (somehow) make a profit as a whole each season!

Well what a start for him eh

Is David Moyes actually as good as he's made out to be? Over a decade without a trophy now...Sure, he hasn't been blessed with an incredible transfer fund, but there's just that 1 thing missing from him. That special thing which rubs off on players I feel when they're around the likes of Mourinho, SaF, even Rodgers & Di Matteo.

Malaga's manager is certainly better at me when it comes to football so hopefully he's seeing more of Piazon than what I seem to see! (Well, he clearly is if he's still starting games!) That said, he has impressed me with most his Malaga games so far! It has to be kept in mind though - it doesn't matter where Malaga end up this season in the table as they're not allowed to play in EU competitions next season; they're just playing for pride now!
-
He's been really good with his attacking today. Equally as good with his defending. MOTM so far.
-
The Wigan players probably had Weetabix while the Everton players had beans, toast, black pudding, sausage etc. Never underrate a good breakfast, kids.
-
Well Wigan must've been treated to a pretty big breakfast!

Pretty sure the people who say Feruz isn't good have seen only 5 or less games of his.. or know little about football. Either-or.
-
Should we put our faith in the youth?

Can anyone name 1 single youngster yet to make his first team debut/make the bench out of the Premier League clubs who's a better striker than Feruz? Go. -
For this game I believe the "MOTM" poll option should be taken down. Seriously.
-
He's still level on goals with Walters of Stoke City for goals scored for us this year... He's a disgrace.
-
And now fucking Tottenham score after only 5 minutes against fucking INTER.
-
I'm telling you guys - I'm a big fan of Bertrand, but he just isn't Chelsea material. Honestly. I do not give a poo that he started the CL final. He has zero leadership from what I can see, something which; yes I'm mentioning him; Shaw seems to have a bit of at a much younger age.
-
This game needs some Essien steel & determination or Meireles grit & never-say-die attitude.. =
-
In an act of protest, I've decided I won't be shaving or showering until Benitez is gone.
-
I take back all the "he's actually a good tactician who brings balance" comments I made when we first hired him. I hate this man so much. Hate, hate, hate him. Anyone who can't see us falling like Liverpool need to take off the blue-tinted glasses. At least our owner is better..
-
I'll keep saying it - The FSW is turning us into fucking Liverpool.
-
Luke Shaw wouldn't have conceded a penalty there
-
Just give up and let them maul us please, then play our reserves during the home leg, get Rafa out & focus on the league. Fab.
