Lukaku would be quite bad in this side, despite all the long-balls. Lots of work needs to be done - in the motherfucking neglected deep midfield area ffs.
-
It's sad how much better we were under RDM.

Torres is like a Spanish Messi ! Edit: Sorry, Spanish mess*
-
Loads of green lasers being shone into Torres's eyes. Little do they know though that Torres is already blind!

We miss Romeu. No, seriously.

Fucked off. For the second Chelsea game in a row my stupid little female cousin (she's 11 I think, but acts 5) has just popped into the house without any invite, scared my cat shitless, and is screaming her head off talking to herself. Fucking hell, how my mum puts up with this I'll never know. Totally ruins the atmosphere. Want to shit in her face.

Heart says 2-0 win for us. Head says 1-1 draw. Gut says 1-0 win to them.
-
We must be the only team who have THREE full-backs on the bench today/tonight!
-
I wish Ake was available; Feruz too. These are the games which typically make young players at top clubs.

I find it funny. Our own fans realise how awful we've been thus far in the Europa League, with quite a lot of us fearing this game; with the opposition supporters fearing this game more than us (it seems) not realising how much of a feat it was to knock Ajax (who I despise solely due to Cruyff.) out and unaware (it would seem) at how strong their chance is vs. us this evening :blue scalf:

Anzhi - Newcastle around half an hour in:

I remember doubting him so much (but not completely writing him off... but almost) at times last season and during pre-season. Oh how times have changed. Keep working on that 1st-touch boy and you'll have a place in my heart I'm sure.

I just want to point out that just because whoever wrote that piece on Josh is apparently a 'credible' writer who wants to be a journalist and because he has fancier words and better constructed sentences than most on here including myself, that does not mean he is 'correct'. He states that what he read on here was laughable; as-if what posters such as myself have been saying is wrong - yet how can an opinion; which he's based his entire article on - then be right? Football is and always has been a game of opinions. WAGNH is a great good site, but not everything on there is fact like so many seem to take their stuff for.

Anyone got any idea on who'll win in the Tigre vs. Palmeiras match tonight? Had a medium size stake on both Juventus + Palmeiras winning. 4/1 odds I think it was. Getting a gut feeling it'll be a draw.
-
I didn't think the Man Utd fans were particularly impressive throughout the game: Only the first 20 and last 20 minutes. I was also surprised by the Real Madrid fans. I thought they'd be louder. Just a reminder to me that, in my opinion, we have the best away support in the Champions League (even though we're out of it... for now.) with Arsenal fans close behind us.
-
If I was Real Madrid's president, you know what I'd do? Sell Modric AND Kaka, sign Benat for around £15m to rotate with and eventually take over from Xabi Alonso and sign someone as back-up to Ozil - Isco probably. Both are 2 top Spanish talents. The wage bill would be less, the fees would be decent, so yeah.
-
Every single time he's been rested, I believe Watford have conceded the first goal in all but 1 game. Says quite a bit!
-
Kaka is iconic though and still offers decent qualities in league games - he's really picked it up this season (well, lately anyway; not the full season.) He'll always sell kits with his name on the back. I can't say the same for Modric! It's kind of like Torres with us. He cost a lot (like Kaka), sells loads of kits with his name (like Kaka), and can occasionally offer something (like Kaka). He also cost way more than he's worth (like Kaka) so the Real Madrid board don't want to look like idiots by off-loading him (like our board) Even with those points taken into consideration, neither are top footballers anymore - yet they're kept around for those exact reasons (i believe).
-
This won't be easy - but it won't be hard. I expect 'em to attack us harder than Praque, thus leaving space in the midfield for us to exploit. They play much more expansive football than Sparta which usually benefits the likes of Hazard/Moses, doesn't it?
-
Because their board is stupid like ours And we could include someone like Essien in the deal. That, plus the fact that hardly any other clubs will come along with that sort of money for him and he's considered a flop so far in Madrid - so they may want to get rid of him since he won't be starting ahead of Alonso/Ozil like originally considered.
-
Yeah that's who I was thinking of; his face was in my head, just not his name! Edit: Has anyone else read/heard that quote of Mou Mou's recently (I think) saying he wants Inter to be in the final of the Europa League so he can go watch them with Inter's president? I actually think this shows he's aware Inter are now competing as a smaller club and are thus likely to take the EL seriously while it's just a side-thought for Chelsea. So basically, again, I think we're the more viable option (I've seen some people reporting that he could return to Inter. Heh.)
-
I said it as a half-joke a few months ago, but again and more serious now - why not sign Luka and Alex Song..? Alex Song is overrated for his season last year with Arsenal, but if you really look into his skill-set, I think if we were more flexible with our tactics, those 2 would create the best midfield pairing in the Premier League. I also feel that Mikel would flourish with either Song/Modric beside him, but heh, chances of this happening are slim, aren't they? I still don't believe Modric was anything near the reported £40m Tottenham wanted from us for him, but if we were to get him now for £25m from Madrid I wouldn't complain.
-
HOLY FUCK
-
How many teams ever in history have survived against Real Madrid while being a man down? Not many i bet.

The ref really is clueless.
