I put up a tonne look up

It's a damn shame his legacy has been so heavily tainted because of how his career has ended/is ending. Those knee-injuries were a travesty.
But it can not and must not be forgotten how good this man was for Lyon and Chelsea in his prime. He was one of the very best around and in his position/role, one of the best the world has witnessed. One of the most ridiculous athletes I've seen in the world of football. Many are nowadays referred to as 'beasts' but this man was The Beast, even though he only stood at 5ft10.
Also one of the few Chelsea players who was universally loved. He was quiet and reserved in public but you could just feel he was a top bloke.
I always think of this picture when I think of him btw.

Played as a #10 today with hardly any defensive duties so no flimsy excuses of blaming his ineffectiveness on Ivanovic can be used today.
Pedro on the other hand played on the same flank & produced a World Class performance (was his debut better than any game Willian has ever had for us) despite putting in more work defensively than any of our other attackers. Notice, Ivanovic wasn't bombing up & down the flank like a maniac because we had a proper winger on that side?
The only forward in all my years of watching Chelsea that's lauded more for his defensive duties than the actual quality he has. You're insane if you think Oscar won't bench him.

Willian was having a good game. I would say in the first half, he along with Oscar were our best players and in the second half he and Hazard were the only ones showing something. Even if he was not playing good, at 10 men down, Willian is never going to be sacrificed ahead of Fabregas or Oscar. Swansea are a team who with a man advantage, were going to come more at us than they were doing with 11 men and for the counter and pace in which to press the team, Willian would have been more effective. Fabregas should have gone off if anything because I think Oscar would have offered more than him however Jose probably saw it as when we did attack them, Fabregas was the only player capable of picking out the pass to Willian, Hazard or Costa on the counter.
Although Oscar was having a good game, I would not say he would have continued to make an impact with us at 10 men because he does not have the pace or dribbling ability needed to hurt them on the counter. Understandable for me. I also think people need to put things into perspective. He had a good game and was better than the majority of slackers out there but he was not outstanding in a level where it was a huge surprise if he went off.

Yet, oscar didn't.... Short term memory...
Jose has a tendency to burn players out. Next season is huge, knowing jose and his failures in the 3rd seasons he had at his previous spells... You make it seem that OScar is the only one misplacing shortpasses, etc..
Even when oscar got benched, the team did the same, yet, its always the same few that need to blame OScar whenever they want. Maybe, we should look at how many times mata, coutinho, sterling, etc loses balls...

He does a job ?
Hate this sentence. He's an offensive player, period. There was no beasty Hazard today - there was no Chelsea. How the job he does are helping us when Hazard isn't in full awesome mode ? Nothing. He's very poor offensive player.
I was very angry on him today. I turn the page now. It's actually Hazard who "does the job" for Chelsea.
Eden is 4, 5 times the player he is. The gap shouldn't have been ever that big in such big side like Chelsea, no matter how good Hazard is.
When we play decent side and Hazard is covered by 3 players and Cesc is usually taken out of the game, there's no one to create something. How the hell Chelsea can only have 2 players to actually do something ?
In Atletico you have Turan who's workaholic, yet effective in offence and always create things. Isco from Real also has learnt how to work hard, yet is still wonderful offensive player.
Doing the job, putting shift is always only a bonus for offensive players. I don't have an idea of having a workhorse in the team playing as an offensive player. What Isco and Turan are doing is enough defensive work that offensive player has to do.

He's my least favourite Chelsea player and I generally love the players that put the work on the pitch. However he's so unimaginative, lacks any vision or dribbling and that it often causes many frustration, yet the most frustrating thing is that he constantly tries the same pattern on the right side, step over plus release, always the same effect. How stupid you have to be to try this, wait for it, 2 fucking years waiting for another result ? It's an indication of absolutely idiotic mind. I think many pages ago Barbara said that in interview Willian was seen as very shallow person with silly thinking. It's exactly the same on the pitch with him. He can't turn to Rooney, from stupid person to football Einstein on the pitch, he's shallow off the pitch and shallow on it. Even Kalou tried different things sometimes ! Grrr ...
( Yet we have 3 players like Boga, Musonda and Traore who are very, very creative ... Who can surprise you with their vision, dribble past people, think in unorthodox way. But silent please, they're only kids ... )

Not finding excuses for Oscar or anything but is he like going to get a summer break any time soon? He's been playing a competition with Brazil at the end of the season since 2012 and it looks like that may continue all the way until 2019!
