i know its only a friendly but this game showcased why oscar in the middle , especially as a #10 is better than mata as our #10. A simple case of creating a 3 v 3 situation ( in this case oscar acting like zidane , a #10 who is complete as such able to play a hybrid #8 as well) on the other hand mata acts like a second striker and leaves our middlefield duo exposed countless times simply he is too high up and he is easily brushed of. there was a momment when oscar is coming on and rafa was telling him to play of Torres and stay close to him, but instead he roamed deepler and supplied our midfielders an outlet. as such you noticed we gain more posessesion, and looked like we were playing a midfield three ( RLC= BxB). I believe thats the way forward, oscar as our #10, mata on th right. PS= i believe oscar will out perform mata next year giving the oppurtunity and rest as our number 10/8

not really essentially you are saying our squad that is built for a 4-3-3 is being held back by mata. In that case mata must improve his deffensive game or simply be a bench player. Every component of our team is built for a 4-3-3 but if the use of our entire squad is solely dependent on one player he better be messi. unfortunately mata is no messi and if the likes of hazard and oscar can put a shift in he must as well or someone will come in to replace him. fact

lets be honest cordozo is a player that suits gary's traits ( big, tall and works more in the air than on the floor) as such it was easier for him to deal with. great block but still fourth choice cb as it stands for me.

Just place him in a midfield three and that will show all of oscar's ability. I cant believe people forget our game vs tottenham during de mateo's era mata played wide/roaming right of a three including Hazard-oscar-Mata. Funny enough mata is one of our best players, yet i would say he is our weak link in the sense that he is not a winger/ slow and he is defensively poor. when he plays as a number 10 he really plays as a second stiker leaving our midfield two exposed (ie a 2 v 3). a perfect example being our trip to Goodison park ( everton) even though he (mata) played as our #10 we did not control the game, yet when oscar came on as the #10 he was a presence and influenced the game as a #10 should. I would say mata represents kaka, in simple sense a second striker NOT a #10 ' meaning not a controler but a striker really' while you can say oscar represents zidane, a reall number ten, dynamic, yet a presence in the MIDDLE, creating a true three man midfield. If jose is our next manager and it comes down to oscar or mata as our #10, he will choose oscar and that will be the right choice in my opinion. P.S. I like mata but funny enough he might be our weak link,and the player holding us back.EX: Kroos-sweinstieger-J. gary cahill is not chelsea quality, end of. ( i have been saying it all season , neither is moses, and ramires should not be a starter for a club of our calibre) we struggle when our first team is not there, simply because thier replacements are not good enough

Moses is not chelsea quality,. people say he is young but how old is oscar, hazard, kdb, etc. If we keep signing players like him and Cahill we will only become Liverpool. Ask yourself what does he contributes to the team, does he inspire you when you see him with the ball ? the anwer is no. we as a club expire to win champions leagues, and prem titles, and simply moses is not the level required
