I have the same feeling with De Jong and De Ligt. Good players but they are a bit overhyped after their breakthrough Ajax season. Both of them are doing well in their new teams but I don’t see them generational talents. I would accept both of them at Chelsea but there are plenty of options. Especially De Ligt.. We can buy same quality players for lower price easily.

Signing Ake wouldn’t be necesserally bad step, depends on what our plans are. Right now we have Sarr as backup CB/LB, he is awful. Ake would be huge upgrade. He is not top player but wouldn’t be worried to have him in the DEF against any team in Europe. Also can play in the midfield in case. Still, we need one marquee signing like De Ligt, Skriniar or Coulibaly, but Ake would be a noce addition too.

Pochettino, Tuchel or Emery were often blamed for not being able to handle big egos at PSG. Well, Zidane has experience having Ronaldo, Ramos, Higuain and co. in his team, and probably even the biggest stars have lots of respect towards him. Also will be fun to see him coaching Messi.
