  1. This thread is so useless... just had to keep it alive.
  2. actually from what i've seen, he's a central/holding midfielder but not the box-to-box type... sort of like Germany's Khadaira.
  3. Double that sentiment! Even though I love Drogba to bits... to single him out and forget the heroics of the rest of the team (specially Ash and Cech) is little unfair. So waiting a few years (not 50 though) then making a decision makes more sense to me.
  4. I wish life was that easy and predictable m8. In actual reality for the player on the bench there are other factors like form, state-of-mind and injuries. I'm afraid that a result of the above scenario is the departure of Brana from chelsea (unless there is a mojor injury to one of the other CBs or if JT gets overtly punished by the law or the FA... or loses form)
  5. Fellaini better choice than modric, specially if we are planning to play Hazard, Marin and Mata in the same line-up... adding modric would totally diminish our physical presence on the middle.
  6. Have to admit I was one of slighlty skeptical when we paid that much for him (wasn't it 12M though?), but eating humble pie in this situation is very tasty. By far the best midfielder England has seen for decades (yes even better than Gazza, Hiddle and Wilkins put together), but such a shame his international career was f##ked up by 'so-called' England fans and inapropriate managrial tactics. BTW, no doubts lamps will reach 200.
  7. FELL BAD FOR SPURS !?!? MOAHAHA HAHA
  8. I think the underlyimg concern from the board and some of the fans is simpley the "Anti-football" style that chelsea adopted during some of the last games. I personally think RDM had no choice but to play that way... i..e sacrifice winning for style. I remember his WBA team playing some lovley attacking football in the begining of his tenure there. So I beleive he can do the same with the blues... I personaly am totally behind our European Champion manager.
  9. Agreed. But the question is can u have a "world class" fullback warming your bench for most of the season -- with the exception of the league cup and maybe a handful of league games? From what we've seen through out the years, most quality players won't settle for that kind of arrangement. Maybe Walker might fit the the bill but definitley not Richards... a tough one this right back situation.
  10. stick with brana at RB and have a home grown as a backup (and if we have to buy, then let's buy british to address the eufa rule of home grown quota)
  11. Musondo = best player in the world for the coming decade (I'm so fricking happy we knicked him)
  12. How can Hulk (a reserve player for the brazilian team) cost more than a player who has won 'the best player in France' title for the last 2 years, and is a few years younger as well... am I missing somthing?
  13. if modric is priced between 30 and 40 mil (never!!) then Fellaini is a bargain at 25 mil. I would love to see him at chelsea... can u imagine the fellaini and Luiz wigs in the bridge, would scare the shit out of any oppsition.
  14. we need to address the quota of British players in the squad, so for me it has to be kyle walker of the yids... and we can get him on the "cheap' seeing as some team in blue just kicked them out of the champions league.
  15. Unfortunately Ramires' passing ability leaves a lot to be desired, thus the only logical position would be right midfield... and if we buy Hulk, then Last season's Players Player of The Year might end up warming the bench or used in a rotation system.
  16. after we won our first league trophy after 50 years it felt awsome (tears and all of course). But this one (big ears) is different... IT'S FUCKING MAGICAL. every time I see a CL youtube clip from fans across the world, it sends shivers down the spine (and the compulsory tear or two).
  17. Actually my vote goes for Didier Deschamps. His teams seem to have the balance between solid defending and playing "proper" football. And of course being an ex-blue doesn't hurt either.
  18. Guyz, we rl underestimating Marin, if he fully recovers from injury, he is an excellent team player with proper wingplay abilities. Thus the mention/addition of Hulk doesn't make any sense (unless the deal with porto is already done and dusted).... and I doubt very much that Hulk would be happy to warm the benches if marin is picked in front of him.
  19. has anyone from the club confirmed Hazard's move yet? I for one will not consider him a chelsea player until he puts pen to paper or if there is an official statement from our side.
  20. Yes, great possible deputy/replacement for ash, but let's not get carried away. He had a decent game in the final... not "amazing" in a position which he shouldn't be played in unless it's a total emergency situation (which it was). I really doubt he could have put in a performance that ash did if ryan had started at left back in the game. But hey... this kid can only get better.
  21. long live the abramovich clan. :blue scalf:
  22. I believe Torres' reaction is actually a good thing (shows desire, confidence and guts)... a lot of negative bullshit is written about strikers being too selfish and wanting to score. Well Torres for one has shown that he's the most team oriented centre forwared in the premiership... so lets not make a big deal about it (do u guyz remember the free-kick argument between drogs and ballack a few seasons ago... not a bad thing really).
  23. Pleeeez Roman, buy Hazard or Lucas so we can see the best of el-nino... The best striker in the premiership (now that Didier is gone).
  24. We knew this day would one day come, although I have to admit I was one of those who thought the DD we saw for the last 3 months didn't have it in him anymore... especially in the begining of the season... thank god we were wrong. WE LOVE YOU DIDIER FOREVER!!
