Midfielder who plays for Lyon (on loan) 21, style reminds on Vieira or spurs Dembele a bit. Very strong, technical and dyanamic player. If we are targeting Bakayoko replacement, we should definately grab Ndombele. I said pretty much the same about Bakayoko (that he would be great buy; but he dissapointed me alot), however I hope Chelsea wont stop pursuing ligue 1 based midfielders just because of Bakayoko being flop (and IMO he could still turn into fantastic mid if he regains confidence). Essien, Kante, Makelele, all top players, originating from ligue 1. Ndombele, unlike Bakayoko has fantastic technique, good engine and plays very dynamic, but obviously he is very inexperienced, so it could end up another Mvila/Imbula with bad management. His character seems to be much better than those two. Wont cost shitload and imagine new playmaker-Kante-Ndombele next season in middle 3.

Yeah its pretty obvious something went sour between Conte and board along the season. Then Conte just decided to fuck us over, because he cant get over it, like he didnt with Costa. I genuinely became a fan of 3 men defence last season, but Conte did everything this season to absolutely make me hate it again. Cant wait for the day we ditch it and bring 4:3:3 back. We were 2nd in january and actualy had ok season IMO. 2018 however is disaster.

Tbh until 2009-2010, IMO we were quality and we had stability. Forget the players we had, forget the managers. Look at quality we had on our board. Peter fucking Kenyon. Men like him were reason why we became this good between 2003 and 2009. We had money and we spent it brilliantly. Didi, Essien, Maka, Riccy, Iva, Cole,...we hired proper coach. Then it all went to shit. First Arnsen, then Emenalo and Marina. She can fuck off, she doesnt have single clue how to lead a fucking football club. We are on decrease since 2010...Oh and look when Kenyon left. Coincidence? I dont think so.

Hah yeah. Just wait for all people who blindly defended Conte in Costa situation change their mind once Conte gets sack. It was extremely immature from Conte to tell Costa he can fuck off in summer, back then in january. Board was about to extend with Costa, but people believed the bullshit news reports aboout his desire to leave. It was probably just intern bust up with Conte, and the later simply didnt tolerate it, for whatever reason, probably just big ego. Just look how simple he left juve after several years in a second before start of season because of argument. Its funny how people here absolutely ''know'' that press is only telling bullshit, but they blindly believed Costa to china rumours and backed Conte without any fact. I guess this story suited them back then. While Costa, helping us to two titles, got big finger in the ass by 90% of chelsea fans. I still miss those Diego moments at Chelsea when he bullied whole opponent team and SB chanted Diegooo, Diegooo. Some people have short memories unfortunely.

I dont even know what we could do to improve over next 3 years. Everything from board, manager, first 11, backups, identity, reputation, playing style is decreasing at rapid rate, like a desease spreading from inside. We are only covering tiny bits every summer, instead of digging deep and remove rotten core. Its not going to happen, removing the core. Doesnt matter if we replace manager, or get new sporting director, or buy two players,...the same old problems will errupt over and over. Board wont back managers infinitely and managers will not achive long term stability, leading to more inconsistency, ending with bad resluts, board sacking managers because they didnt give crap after not having support, and hiring new managers, ony to not back them up again, more inconsitency etc. Rinse and repeat.
-
About a year ago in summer 2017, I was confident that we have Tibo, Azpi, Kante, Hazard as our indisputable core that actualy gives a shit and will do their best in every game. Not just that, but I was expecting we will bring 1-2 players in summer who would join those 4 in couple seasons and form a very strong core of this team. Year later, I only feel positive about Kante and Azpi. Maybe Christensen, who turned up to be a surprise, but its way too soon to tell. However there is a big chance Eden will leave, Tibo too on free next summer, and neither of summer signings has proven to be a strong, long term candidate of character and leader at Chelsea. All these contract negotiations leading nowhere, buying shit players, selling world class players,... Fuck off with this shit, Chelsea board, we are sick of it.
-
And Alonso. Conte was screaming for backups, but how many times did he field Emerson ? Alonso for all his qualities fails the main quality and thats pace in PL, so that you can keep up with tempo. He is 2 gears bellow in every game, just take a look when Eden tried to play to the left and Alonso was miles behind. Put Alba, Alaba, Marcelo,...they would all be there already to support and it would turn in very dangerous chance at goal.
-
Obviously he has to answer, but should do it like Kante did. Simple answer Im happy. But Eden always says we will see...obviously media loves that because it creates rumours and they will ask him every time again and again. Its his fault for answering in cheeky way instead of simple. Maybe its his style and he likes to toy with media/fans/opposition. He has been saying that every year and he is still here. That said, no one should question his character. He is amazing for Chelsea, loyal and only says positive stuff everytime. If he leaves I cant blame him, not with the current board and direction we are heading. But I hope he stays.
-
I see you guys have big plans for summer. Seeing this club current state, the board and plans, I dont have big hopes for summer... First, I only want Bailey because he is available, huge talent, possible long term RW and most important of all, big Chelsea fan. At least he will live his dream and enjoy playing here. It makes too much sense and I will be pissed if we miss on him. Secondly, sell Tibo and get Alisson. That way we get quality (young) GK who wont complain all the time. Oblak is a dream, but nearly impossible. Anything else, from another striker, midfielder, defenders,...it will be great bonus if we manage to get some quality there too but I doubt.
-
Im actualy sold on Alisson. Looks to be top GK in the making, also available. Oblak would be best choice, but I think there is very very little chance to get him. If Tibo doesnt extend by the end of July, IMO we should sell his ass and get Alisson. It would be best possible scenario, Im tired of Tibo speculation, possibility of him leaving for free and on top, performance wise unreliable as hell. Fu@k I was defending nearly every player on this forum, from Eden when he was in shit form to Costa during china rumours, but I cant stand Tibo bullshit anymore. Probably the first time I actualy want undisputed starter to leave because of his character. Just get Alisson and we can build our future in peace. Eden has same issue when talking to media, but he is at least talking on pitch too. Irreplacable. And good guy in every other part, bar media talk.

TBH not able to pay for top class players often leads to giving chance to youth. At least something exciting, something that shows the direction of the club. BUT at Chelsea, we rather pay 30,40m on piss like Drinkwater. I actualy dont mind we cant afford 200m every summer, but what I hate is the club buying shit players instead of giving chance to some of our youth. For example, RLC or Chalobah (who was sold) could easily fill the Drinks/Barkley role and we would still have 55m for other targets. Our board doesnt know what will happen next month, nevermind in 2 years. The lack of vision is depressing. We sell Chalobah, only to be forced to buy another english midfielder who is worse, older and costs 40m? GTFO. Sure Chalobah wanted to leave, but if he was actualy given the same trust that Barkley or Drinks got, that would change his mind. Its all about being in the plans and being counted on. Playing time would be small, but when you know the club and coach counts on you, its easier and Chalobah would still get decent amount of chances. It made too much sense to bring some of youth in more important backup roles and spend whatever money available on 2-3 top players. Instead we sold or loaned youth and brought shit players to our bench for backup while spending all the money, and on top, no actual proven quality. Clusterfuck, And dont say RLC and Chalobah werent good enough. Till injury, they were very good and considering the state of our midfield with aging slow Cesc, injured Barkley, average Drinks and Baka, our two youth midfielders would be more than good enough. But the club cant see shit, no vision, nothing. Having less money next couple summers wont kill us, but the idiotic board just may.

Correct way is ''cheeky''
-
We dont have philosophy. But thats not something you make in one summer. Bayern, Barca, Real, United (had) philosophy that went for decades. Teams like City or Psg or us dont have philosophy. What we can do (Psg and City did) is to create a plan for future and bring people that suit it. Be it work on young talents, buy galacticos, play attacking or defensive,... We have to create a plan and stick to it. But obviously managers might flop and leave, however our board needs smart people who will continue with project and execute it. And thats the problem, we have idiots on board right now. I dont like City at all, but they have absolutely perfect plan. They spend alot, but IMO they would succeed with half the money (our budget), it would just take more time for them. They have the coach, the idea and that made them interesting to new players, something we lack more and more every year. But the main reason for their succees is quality of the board. Marina vs Txiki is just not comparable.
-
He will fuck us right in the ass, wont he? Promises about extending, but he will leave on free next summer. Either he can leave this summer or extends.
-
Low-key Marcelino seems to be quality manager too. He turned shit Valenica into very good one, transforming several underperforming players back in form. Barcelona is doing nice with Velverde, another one who was fairly unknown outside of Spain. People put too much attention on big name managers instead of focusing on managers that have fitting personality, style, ideas,...
-
Tbh Im not realy buying into what someone has achieved as factor if he will succeed elsewhere/somewhere. Guardiola was appointed as Barca coach after managing only their B squad. Then again, Mourinho who won it all would be hardly a guarantee he wont flop at some new club. Or AvB who was probably most promising coach at one point, he flopped. Same is happening with Emery who was successful with Sevila, but its clear Psg is way above his level. Zidane had no real experience before either but he did fantastic at Real, better than Ancelotti and Mou. IMO what is crucial for manager at club is that he gets along with the board, and vice versa, and most importantly that he knows the culture of how club operates or gets enough financal and vocal support to achieve the goal that he and board share. IMO we would be stupid to not try Steve Holland at one point who knows the club well. And probably Lamps/Terry/Drogs at one point in future. It may be unpopular opinion but we should seriously consider ditching Marina. She is successful business woman, but she just doesnt have the passion/vision to make something great out of this club on football stage, if we go by recent work of her at club. Yeah, we made good on financial basis, but thats all business. In regards of creating football dinasty or modern football culture, she did jack shit and probably doesnt even understand it, its all about finance with her. I mean its good to have someone like that here, but not as director and someone who makes all key decisions. We need people with history to the club, with passion and people who know how football operates. City got Txiki who had experience, vision. What does Marina have in comparisson? Football might be all about money these days, but if you want to actualy succeed, you still need heart and soul, passion and vision. Money doesnt give you that. We need coach that is here with a mission, not just someone that will try to do his job... And obviously we need board that will support our manager, because its a rollercoaster at the top for a while now and it will get us nowhere. We need stability. Period.
-
Indeed. He isnt perfect coach, neither was Costa perfect striker. But we have to ask, is there anyone better atm available? Either the board can eat some pride/ego and stick to Conte or we go for less quality coach but someone who will be the puppet of board and they will be happy. If Conte ate some pride, we would still have Diego for season or two and then bring another, better and more stable striker to the club in peace. Instead we got worse one in panic buy with Morata, spend huge money on him and still we will probably need to buy another one in summer who will cost more money and time, not to mention adapting to league and club, which means more average transitional seasons at CFC. IMO unless there is out and out great manager that fits this team, we should just stick to Conte for another season and then bring someone. Because if we sack Conte, get Enrique and he doesnt work out, we are again at stage one.
-
IMO what realy has to change is the board itself, manager is secondary right now. I wish we actualy had some plans longterm and not just for next two seasons, because that means good season, bad season, change manager, rinse and repeat. Half players leave and we are in constant transition with one good season here and there and no playing style or stability. Marina for me is one of big problems at the team. Recent transfers of Drinkwater, Barkley, Bakayoko, Giroud,...give alot of average for huge money. Also whoever the next manager is, the philosophy and team work are crucial for club, manager and board have to work together. If the board is ready for some real change and prepared to support manager, then Tuchel or Sarri could be realy good move. If not, then those two are pointless because they are not proactive managers and wont win much from the start. If board isnt prepared to tolerate that, makes no sense to hire such manager. Enrique is big question. He is as good as players in form, but the moment they arent, he makes bad decisions. He has no plan b, no ideas etc. IMO a bad choice in every way. But again, what we need is quality sporting director and people around him. Abramovich should be involved less too. Real, City and Psg have influental presidents, yet they arent involved anymore like they used to be, instead they trust their directors and managers more. We have to do the same. Thats absolute proiority, not who will be the next manager.
-
Replacing Conte with Enrique seems terrible idea. Conte isnt ideal, but stiring the shit and going with head against the wall wont improve us. The board is just proving what an idiots they are. Getting rid of Conte for Enrique...I wouldnt mind replacing Conte if there was someone actualy better and more suited for this team, but Enrique isnt that, yet the board keeps pushing and wants Conte head just for the sake of it. Its same story like with Costa who wasnt ideal, but still miles better than what market was offering. And now with Conte, its the same. Enrique was saved by MSN while Tuchel defence gets exposed alot. Sarri would be interesting option but he will stay in Napoli....
-
He was very good against Atletico and couple games before. To see him play this shit for a while now, its hard to explain. But I guess its complete lack of confidence. And people will laugh, but if he can somehow pull it together, be it with age or different coach, I think he can be great midfielder. Baka is terrible player right now, but Salah was awful here aswell and he is now leading scorer with 28 goals. I mean never say never, Baka as shit he is might actualy reach top level one day. He certainly still has glimpses of it, but his head is in all the wrong places.
-
Instead of Icardi who could well flop outside italy, just hijack Lautaro Martinez who is going to Inter for 30m. He looks like the next Kun/Tevez in the making and with poor strikers that we have, it might be worth a risk since we arent paying shitload for actualy good and proven striker (if there even is one available).
-
Voting is done a number of months before, so it will have no bearing. Oh I see...I didnt knew that.
-
Guys, If he breaks goal tally for PL single season, I bet my house he will win poty. There is simply no other option in such case, not even KDB.
-
Haha this fucker is going to end up staying here until end of contract and then leave for free with zero fucks given.
-
i completely agree, but on another note yesteday he was very good IMO. Yeah he isnt leader or he isnt the one to be the most calm and make shit happen on his own, ie score goal etc. but when it comes to simply playing and helping the team, he is amazing. He is pulling the passes and dribbles, playmakes whole game. But for next step, he will simply need something better than Alonso or Cesc or Giroud. Hazard is someone who needs one-twos with others and he needs the teammates around to get involved. He isnt direct player who will march on goal every time and pull something alone. I hope he stays at Chelsea for long time, but if I drop the selfish act, I think the best for him would be to go to Barca. He and Messi plus all the other barca players, Im willing to bet he would leave the likes of Neymar and De Bruyne two levels below. Guidance of serial winners like Iniesta or Messi would help him improve infront of goal and quality of teammates in general would expand his play even further. His selfless play is absolutely perfect to feed the balls to Messi, Suarez and players like that would help himself feel less pressure and become more decisive infront of goal. Compare Alonso, Cesc, Willian and Morata/Giroud with Alba, Iniesta, Suarez and Messi. But the biggest problem is that people dont see what kind of Eden actualy is. Everyone wants goals and him being the main guy and make all the shit happen. Yeah its expected because he is the best player on the team, but thats not his style at all. Ribery or even Modric come to mind. Both are outstanding and arguably most important players for their teams at their peak. Sure Ronaldo is Ronaldo, but Modric was absolutely crucial in every single buildup of Real. Ask any fan, they will often tell you Modric was the motor and brain of that team. CR was scoring goals, and while goals are ''everything'', you still have to win midfield and create those goals, where Modric was unplayable. Ribery was similar, but he played from the wing. Both however had other, more direct players who then decided games and scored, like Ronaldo or Robben. Eden is literaly the same. He makes everything tick, he goes deep to collect the ball, he passes around, dribbles, creates space. But we dont have the player that will actualy finish the chance off. Eden is the kind of player that picks the ball, goes toward the goal and then loves to release it. But we just dont have anyone near his quality. He makes a pass, then Willian fucks up a counter, Alonso isnt fast enough, Giroud misses the goal. The gulf between Eden and rest of the team in sheer quality is too big. Last year, Costa was on same level till january and we played outstanding football. Thats the difference if you have at least one more world class player in attack beside hazard.
