Im talking about big games, the ones on elimination. Last year we won fa and cl, this year we lost in supercup, cl and club world cup.
-
'thats what some teams doo' Well usualy the big teams do that, to rest their key players for important competitions and give their youth a chance. Barca, ManU,...all do this, its in philosophy and long term investement, Chelsea just dont see it. And then people complain about how tired our players are...
-
Guys I know this is one of rare chances for silverware this season, but this kind of tournaments are meant for big clubs to try youth players too. United always tries their youth players in such games, but we always need to play our best players. This type of games are meant to rest best players and give test for young ones, but we always do around... I dont know, this stuff is always taken too serious...

I will put my eye on Newcastle new signing LB Haidara. 19 years and he could easily become great Lb in PL.
-
Last year Chelsea would win this, but this year we are far too unexperienced and unconsistant. Doubt we will go through, but I hope for the best.
-
rumour: Zaha to ManU for 20mio...
-
Marin to Cska and Honda/Dzagoev to us would only make sense. But even then, Im not sure its necessary...we need CM more
-
The point is that Cech is 31 and still has 4 years of top football if he stays fit. There were injuries with his back and he could retire in next season, but he was quite fit recently and at current form, he could stay for several seasons. Courtois on other hand will want to play and if Barca actualy offers him deal, he will surely accept it. He would be first choice gk imediately and would play along Messi, Iniesta,...Barca would probably again offer very little money and then order their players to talk in press all summer how fantastic would be for Courtois to join them and that we treat him bad etc....scum barca. Courtois is finaly a piece of brilliant scouting and Im pretty sure we wont let him go for any price. Roman knows fact that Courtois is class talent and will fuck of barca.
-
True, if he will be given time and play games, he could turn great too. But hey this is Chelsea and people want best NOW. And other players are always more attractive than the ones we have. I bet if Ryan was Arsenal player and he would play week in week out, people would go crazy about him on this forum...
-
Hey Santi! So you say Arsenal is gonna win a trophy soon? *laughs*
-
Yeah, I meant we should buy him instead of manu in summer...
-
I would realy love to see Rvp here instead this guy. Such a brilliant striker. Passing, vision, game winning goals, shooting, experience, class, allround, assists. And he was only 25mio. We should offer arsenal 25+Torres and we would have him...
-
Make sure you have right foot...
-
In football, if you are crap, you are crap, there is no middle way...im getting sick of this player. Thr first time I would actualy pay a player to leave...He doesnt even play with his heart, fucker..,
-
Well you know that there were players like Altidore, Huntelaar, van der Meyde,...super talented but they never made it? All Im saying is that there might be quite opposite. If Isco joins Barca/Rm in summer and he doesnt get the chances, while Ola stays in Benfica for while and then moves to big club that has place for him in starting eleven and becomes great player? Sure he wont be new Messi (while Gotze, Hazard -if they fill the potential can become), but you cant have 10 Messis in your team anyway. So, if John becomes next Bale, Silva, Ribery class player, I would think of him as class player. He plays for Benfica day in day out, regular CL games every year, good conditions to evolve, works with great board who produced several talents etc. If he will train and work hard, stay on ground, he has all chance to be starter for any top team. If Isco pics wrong club or gets careless like Balotelli, then he wont be that good despite being bigger talent than John. I think the situation will be much different in twi years time from now... And cant agree that Holland doesnt have players on wings; Leroy Fer, Narsingh and Wijnaldum are all good talents along with John... Besides Hazard IS more winger than #10, but he plays different role here. Gaitan might be winger, but he is similar to our cams already; small, good passer, dribbler. If we go after winger, he should be something we dont yet have like Bale (realy fast and much taller than Mata, Hazard) or stronger wingers with good technique)
-
Perhaps our players play better when there are only 10 on the pitch. Cuz if we play with 11, then they simply dont know what to do with that 'extra' striker. At least that is what Rafa probably thinks as he keeps playing Torres. I mean, seriously how is that possible that Ba doesnt play? The club needs to grow some balls and do the same as did Inter with Sneijder. The guy became terrible, he lost passion. The coach benched him and he wanted to leave. Then the club shipped him to Turkey. Something similar O would like to do with Torres...Aftrerall, both are 28, on super wages and ex-superstars. I realy hate that board is still obsessed with Torres and 50mio spent for him. You made a mistake, get over it, FFS!
-
Gaitan is too similar to Mata/Hazard/Oscar and Matic has release clause of 40mio (no kiddin) But you cant compare them, John is only 20 years old while other two are 24/25. Afterall, there are many people in holland sure that Ola will be starter for netherland soon. I think there is no super talent or small talent, its just about who gets more hype. Gotze, Hazard, Isco got lots of hype, but for example Pogba, John, Rodri, Insigne etc are big talents, they just dont get the hype and fame at young age. Sometimes a talents that are less known actualy become better than so called 'super talents'
-
Ola John will be brilliant player once, would realy like to see him here when he will be ready. Benfica is doing great with him and he will evolve in terrific winger. He has all; pace, strenght, vision, passing, shooting and dribbling. His lob crosses are outstanding for such young player, definately a future star of some club.
-
Completely agree with you, afterall Roman started brilliantly with getting Mou who was young, sucessfull, charismatic and had specific style of play. Ge brought couple players and in three years created team that had impact all the way till last year (and still has few players from that time). We had rich owner, fantastic coach, great buys, happy board with Ray Wilkins, youth team that was progressing in some way. Firing Mou and later Ray was signing that since things will get nasty. Only the players kept this club on high level, not Roman, coaches or board. It was the players only. Terry, Drogba, Lamps,... Right now, Roman has to give all work to a manager that will stay here for three years at least. Even if there will be no trophy in first season. But what will actualy happen? Well fans of chelsea are soooo spoiled that if a manager wont win trophy, fans will want to get rid of him imediately. think of Avb for example...Its not just the club that has problems, but Fans are impatient too. I realy think Avb should stay, despite bad results. This was huge pressure on him from Roman and fans. If this wont change, there will be no manager that could handle the job ever. Club gets on new path in years, not in months....
-
Well I like Roman, BUT he is basicaly the biggest problem in the club. Yes, he gives us money and stuff, but just because he spent billion on club doesnt mean he actualy knows whats best for the club in terms of buying players, managers etc. Even those PSG owners or City owners have invested millions in club, but they let the managers do the work. We have major problems with infrastructure including Roman's involvement, club phylosophy, youth evolution, loan deals, buying players, borad decisions as well squad problems with manager sacking, keep playing Torres and lack of buying the KEY players or filling the spots in team. Seriously, sell Torres, buy striker, get a manager THAT WILL ACTUALY STAY FOR 3 SEASONS AT LEAST! and leave him to do the work. Give him all authority to manage player buys and sells, loans, tactics, formations, style of play and who will play the games (not like ''oh he cost 50mio he has to play even he is shit''). Once we do that, we will be on good way to rebuild the club in healthy, respectful institution, However, Roman is Roman, he is spoiled and has our club for his toy. Things will forever stay like now, but hopefuly our players will evolve and become world class team.
-
I remember all those funny vids with Drogba, Maka, Lamps, Terry,...nowdays I just dont see that anymore. I guess there are younger players who act very professional in hope to be better and on other hand experienced players who won everything possible and are starting to lose passion in football and playing it.
-
Ryan in Oscar out...
-
Is it Rafa or Roman that wants Torres on pitch all time? I realy wonder...
-
Fucking tree would play better than Torres...
