I think he is going to be in for a bit of surprise because their fans are absolute cunts because they know zero loyalty. Hopefuly he has a bang unless he plays us, but IMO he will experience its not all dreamy up there.

othing with Eden, but do you think Drogba or Lamps would stay here if they played today? Just accept the fact we are not at the very best level in football, while Hazard is. And lets not ignore he always said its his dream to play there, so theres that. Doesnt change the fact he left 7 wonderful years here. As for legend status, Id say he is pretty much only below Lamps, Didi, Cech, Terry. Not there because he left at 28, but close.
-
"A number of Real Madrid fans turned up to Hazard's unveiling and chanted "Queremos Mbappe" which translates to "We want Mbappe". Real Madrid, that." Enjoy your time there, Eden.

Interesting to see how will he play in PL. One of better striker prospects, but hard to tell from just playing in belgium.

They would have to change entire system for that. Their attack is based on Mane-Firmino-Salah and if you change that, it might not work perfectly despite it looks even better on paper. The way they move around the box is outstanding and Werner doesnt have the ball abilities to compete with that. On the other side, if they had a creative midfielder like Bruno Fernandes, they get another dimension. All they realy need then is another CB, then they would probably win everything for next couple years. Unless you mean Werner as a plan B/alternative to their usual 11, that would be nice option to have.

Yes but net spend is only for ffp and balances. You still see Real and others spendnshitload of cash, including us. Just because real managed to sell player x for 60m and buy player y for 120, it doesnt mean they spend only 60m. On paper yes, but they bought a player for 120m and they got a player for 120m, a world class player. Pool sold Coutinho for 130?m and they bought Allison (70m) and Dijk (70m), 140m combined. Doesnt mean they are now somehow excused because their net spent in this case was actualy 10m+. They still spend shitload and thats it. Net or not. For the same reason I will never understand people saying we havent spent much in recent years because our net spending was very balanced. No. Thing is we still put 200m or so away on new players for couple seasons. And we did a bad business. Net is for business perspective to keep the balances. But you still have to look at numbers that are paid for new players and its clear Real was buying heavily as do other clubs. Just because they will manage to sell Bale who is now considered completely useless for them for 100m (lets say), it doesnt mean they are not spending big and getting everything quality on the market just because their net spent will be lower. When we sold Matic for 40m and bought Bakayoko for 40m, our net spent in this case was 0m. By that logic we were on the market looking for a free midfielder and got one, in reality we still spent 40m on then one of most promising DMs. Thats the net spending in a nutshell. If we buy Drinkwater for 40m, Bakayoko for 40m and Zappacosta for 20m while selling Hazard for 110m, we make 10m profit, right? But that doesnt change the fact we spent 100m on players regardless. Therefore we are massive spenders regardless of the net surplus. If we sold Hazard for 110 or even if we didnt; and bought someone for 20m, thats what you would consider spending rationaly and low. Regardless of the net spend.

The only way we can get out of this shit situation is to bet on youth. Heavily. I like Lamps but he isnt ready yet IMO. Jardim or Hag please. We have so many young promising players. And we cant buy anyone, so please dont fuck this up. They know how to improve youth and they play nice football too. Allegri, Mou and other pragmatic managers will take us steps back with their style, ruin our youth and they wont achieve results because this squad isnt ready yet. For once Chelsea, please look into the future. And convince either of those two to join us, whatever it takes.
-
Hazard leaving is even bigger win for our PL rivals than for Real. Now there isnt a single player in Chelsea they would be shitting their pants. Even Arse had Alexis.
-
By that time we likely wont be in title race and players wont give a fuck, so even sheffield is going to be torture.
-
Regardless of his potential and talent Question 1: can he cope with physical demands of PL? Question 2: can he stay injury free? Those two are most important for him to even have a chance to succeed here.
-
Kovacic will sign for inter and sometime later Chelsea will manage to keep Sarri and start wondering why is Kovacic no longer available.
-
Is he any good? I havent seen atalanta much this season
-
Because their team was already built prior to that. And they spent alot back then. They will spend 300m this summer, 300m next (+earn some cash from deadwood sales) Obviously they wont have to buy much after that because they will invest heavily in next two years. But the point still stands. As for us, I have been saying we actualy spent alot too and its almost impossible to believe what we have to show now. We along United are the worst run club out there. Anyway what people hate about Real is their entitlement. I personaly dont care if City spends, if we spend, if real spends. Its how football works. But it does piss me off that you have these entitled fans and club personnel who think they are something more than other spenders. Thing is all spend big money to buy titles. Some more successfull and some less. But then you see these Real fans talk about city, chelsea and other oil clubs how we ruin football, how we cant do anything without spending. Yet its Real and Barca that always steal best players from best clubs. Only time they lost a player of that calibre was Neymar to Psg. And they have the nerve to say we ruin football for spending big on players like Silva, Suarez, Hazard, Aguero, Dijk, Salah and making them world class while Real or Barca comes around they they buy those established star players from us. And the pricks feel they can have anyone in the world and more. When did english team get world class player from real/barca, someone who was undisputed starter there? Makelele comes to my mind, but even then Real wanted to offload him. Fabregas, Alexis, Ozil were expendable when they left. Turn the situation around and you see they have been buying players from epl every season almost. Suarez, Bale, Ronaldo, Modric, Hazard,... They shit on epl all the fucking time and yet they always cream over epl players. Buy from outside of PL and they wont win shit. Pep barca being an exception.
-
270-300m spent already. And obviously they will never be punished by uefa/fifa.
-
Everyone says that english clubs dont pruduce or make any players, they just buy and yet one poor season and both spanish giants buy everything there is left and right and they still feel entitled. They actualy believe they are different and theey have the nerve to shit on other clubs that spend big. Sure sure your succees is build not bought, right. Fucking pricks and their fans are the worst. Thats the reason I want english or even italian clubs rule the europe again. Anything is better than those cunts. But how if they end up buying all the best players from england every year.
-
I think we could never get the hot commodities even in the best spending days. Kaka and the likes were always out of reach, as were the biggest talents. But we were top dog in england and we could attract english players like Cole and we did business very smart. Buying less known players like Drogba who ended up world class. We were also extremely lucky. So many players we bought ended up way way better than we ever expected. The ones we expected most though usualy flopped. Looking at things today, we could easily buy Pepe, but our board is incompetent to do it (if we didnt have the ban). Its true we no longer have the pulling power, but thats solely because we dont have any ambition anymore. If we started a project and bought two or three top level players, we would shown intention and our pulling power would increase. The result would be better squad, better results and most of players wanting to join us. But we havent shown any dedicated ambition for years now. Just look at Sarri project. Promising but its over after a year. No player will come to such a turbulent club.
-
Even if Pepe doesnt end up in Bayern, he will end up somewhere else. Its pretty clear Lille cant keep him anymore. And we cant buy anyone, so he is not coming here sadly.
-
Even spuds werent this stupid to rehire Redknapp or something. They went for Poch. If we are losing Sarri, we better get Ten Hag or Jardim who play nice football, know how to operate with limited resources and love playing youth. Allegri or Marco Silva as wild cards but I honestly dont want either.
-
Do people realy want Benitez or Mou back and wonder why we dont improve and make a step forward? Its like doing same stuff and expect different things.
-
If Sarri leaves, Kepa will take over.
-
Fernandes looks unique too. He just takes the shots like players used to do in the past. Nowdays everyone just dribbles passes into the goal instead of shooting here and there. I remember watching football as a kid and the best players on the teams were trying to score from anywhere. It was a joy to watch. Nowdays all we see are tactics. Dribble to win a faul, pass to score in open goal,...its all the same. Obviously there is efficiency in there, but nowhere near entertaining. When Bruno took like 5 shots in first half only, I immediately remembered the times when best players did that in every game.
-
He will sell shitload of shirts in Jamaica though.
-
1 in 1 out policy was understandable when we were planning to build a new stadium, but after that we could easily change that. What is the real problem is that we replaced Costa with Morata, Matic with Bakayoko etc and spent way too much on shit players like Drinkwater. It all very easily leads to our board having no clue what they are doing. You can lose a Salah or De Bruyne, buy a Drinkwater or Morata. Every club has fuckups. But Chelsea is doing it every year after year all combined. What is our vision? Our goal? Our project? Its unknown for years now. The club doesnt even release any statements anymore. Speculation of Sarri leaving for weeks and not a single statement that he is firmly staying put to calm us or that he is leaving. When the situation is clear, every club admits it in public to inform the fans even if it isnt official Chelsea informs us of nothing anymore. We are in the dark all the time for every important thing. I mean either say Sarri rumours are bs and he is preparing for preseason or just admit he is gone. Its all very simple realy. Sarri is leaving? Ok. So you tell the fans and inform them that initial plan is still there. That we will prioritize possesion football and youth now. And fucking stick to it for more than one year. Or something else, whatever the club is planning. Just explain it to the fans. But they dont. Probably they themselves dont k know shit. Last year it was Sarriball for 3 years, big plans. Youth thriving. Next season it will be the opposite leading to nowhere and Marina will get that idea of Sarriball/Avb style again before going back to pragmatic because it wont win us titles in first year. Rinse and repeat same shit over and over. Midtable teams have better aspirations and projects for their position considering their smaller reach and budget. Enough is said when Im not even concerned with the ban because we would buy something stupid again. Last summer and entire season we build on Jorginho just to lose the only manager that can manage system with him. Every other manager would prefer someone else in that position. And we are back to square one.
-
Drinkwater cost us 35m and he isnt even good enough for the bench. Morata cost us 55m or even more and flopped almost as hard as Bakayoko who cost 40m. Just because we thrown 200m every summer doesnt mean we are improving the squad. Just because Pulisic cost 58m doesnt mean we are now serious. He cost that much because he is american. Check Bvb forum, everyone was laughing at Chelsea for paying that much. But maybe he becomes great one day indeed because he is a raw talent. But worth 60m? Never. There are plenty cheaper players around in that bracket like Neres, Lozano,... We might aswell spend 60m on Redmond and people will say oh we got serious now, he has to be great given the money we paid for him. Obviously not true. We just love to overpay decent players. 60m for Pulisic is ok, but 70m for Pepe we cant do, too expensive. 40m for Drinkwater cool, but we coudnt pay for Sterling around that a year earlier. Bernardo Silva cost City 50m last year. Thats a top top talent. If we got Pulisic for 30m or if he was world class talent, fair enough, but its neither. He wasnt bought because we have shown ambition mate. Its all business reasons.
-
Sarri would also be perfect for the likes of RLC, Odoi, Pulisic and James because they dont have any specific style yet and they would adapt quicker to Sarriball than say Willian, Pedro, Kante,... Its such a cock up once again. We used to be banter hollywood club past few seasons but we are getting downright pathetic. Fucking joke the whole club. Changing managers and now we cant even keep them. Most of the players are average as hell, we lost our best player and while knowing he will leave, we brought no replacement in january. Now just get a fucking pragmatic manager who will dump Cho, Ruben, James and all promising players on the bench and play Willian and co because experience just to save his ass for short time before we sack him and he sues us for compensation. Rinse and repeat. The last time we actualy shown any seriousness was the year we bought Kante and the following season. Everything went downhil after that. Everything. Such a joke. I have some hope for the young players along with couple senior players, but everything else is one massive shite. Nowdays, It should be all about Sarriball project, keeping Hazard and improving the team significantly. But yeah, we get a ban, Hazard leaves, cant sign anyone now, Sarri about to leave too. What is the point of this club now? How can you support anything right now when they are showing absolutely no direction? Today its this, tomorrow its something else. Where are we going as a club? Is priority to make money? To sell shirts in america? The club realy believes we will compete next season with Pedro, Willian and Giroud? At this rate we are closer to losing Kante, CHO and any other quality player at this club than improving the team in the following seasons.
