Its great that we are seriously interested in both Koke and Cesc...it will force Barca and Atletico to not have all the power as we have several options. If the reports are true.
-
Toure, Song, Sanchez, Cesc, Ibra,...they all 'underperform' in barca because they play specific system...they simply dont suit that. Anywhere else, they would/were/are be probably key players of their teams... I realy wouldnt judge Cesc on Barca form, there everything spins around Messi and Xavi, Iniesta were successull enough because they played with Messi whole career. I doubt any CM will fit Barca if they keep tiki taka and always play on Messi. Koke will be same story if they keep that system IMO. Fabregas was amazing in Arsenal, realy best CM of league together with Lamps for few years, if he can replicate that form, Im sure he will succeed here.

Another saga begins...classic Chelsea summer The annoying thing is that despite all the rumours (true or not), neither the player linked or our manager NEVER tells the real situation in public...leaving us guessing if there is any truth at all. Falcao, Cavani, Hulk, Modric...every year same story different name.
-
Leo Baptistao or whatever his name is will probably get first spot if Costa leaves...
-
Aurier will most probably play for Arsenal next season...
-
So Atletico will lose Courtois, Costa, Godin, Luis to Chelsea, Koke to Barca/ManU/Chelsea, Tiago on free, Miranda to Barca/ManU...if you believe in rumours. I would bet they will lose max three players.

Well we need LOT of creativity. We sold creators Mata and KDB and it looks Oscar will have to take big step forward if he wants to create more (and be more consistent). The only option is to either replace Oscar or hope he gets back in form (by that I mean creating for others, not just scoring on his own). And plan C is to get top quality CM/playmaker ala Fabregas. Modric, Gundogan would be better but I dont see them comming for obvious reasons, while Kroos wont fit us and Rakitic is more CAM than CM (IMO). Pogba can be creative too, but he is going to be extremely expensive. I would personaly love to see Azpi-Cahill-Terry-LB Cesc-Matic-Oscar Willian-ST-Hazard I think Oscar was never truly #10 under Mou to begin with (he goes too deep, defends alot and doesnt create enough), meaning he actualy is suited to play 4:3:3 And Matic as well Cesc (or any other creative CM) would fit into 4:3:3 more than in double pivot. But as soon our game will be bit more open, I can see some weaknesses in defence (Terry not young and fast anymore, Cahill cant put good long balls,...). Rodriguez (20), Cesc (30), Costa/Dzeko (20-35) and possibly Varane (25) would be easy affordable now in terms of money, question is if Mou wants them and they want Chelsea.
-
Why the heck we sold him? He and Hazard fit together perfectly and today, it was seen again...If Kevin forced move, Mou couldnt do much (except maybe planing on selling only KDB or Mata), but if Mou indeed was the one who cut him off and sold him, then he should realy show some more patience and belief in KDB. To me, Kevin would be perfect competition to Oscar. I dunno, Mou is making good team, but if we had coach who could adapt to our players (Mou, KDB, Luiz) more, we might play much more attacking football and in few years when team gels together, we would be unbeatable...but then again, Mou is doing good job, except he cant adopt his style to players he already has/had.
-
I think Toure is going nowhere...he is just too important for City.
-
Yeah except that Luis was already very good last year but people didnt notice because he didnt play in CL final...
-
Yeah I guess he will stay in Atletico or move to Barca eventualy....
-
Rumour: Milan Badelj on the way to replace Tiago at Atletico
-
Yeah but paying 26 mio euros for 28 y.o. is not that good either. In two years time, he will decline and we will have to spend another 20mio on new full back...
-
Di Maria had 4 more this season (17), Cesc had 13.
-
I seriously doubt Mou would want him and vice versa...there was war of words between those two not long ago and I dont see them working together. Other than that, should they be able to eat pride, Cesc arrival would improve the team massively.
-
ST: Costa or Dzeko CM: Pogba, Vidal, Cesc, Rakitic or Koke LB: Shaw, Filipe Luis or Rodriguez And keep Courtois and Lukaku
-
I think Dzeko would be great buy if we dont land Costa...but would City ever sold him to us?
-
Think objectively here...we need world class CM and I seriously doubt we will get Rakitic (probably not interested), Vidal, Koke (probably staying), Pogba (too expensive), Modric (unavailable)...list get shorter and shorter... If there wont be any other options for CM, I would gladly take him for those 30m. Cunt or not. After all you should have no problem if he is a cunt since you dont care about Luiz leaving, despite being nice guy; just because we got plenty of money (at least most of you). Therefore I dont see why are people bitching if Cesc is cunt. I wouldnt take Cesc as first option, but in the end of day, there wont be many options and we need one top CM for sure.
-
Pogba wil never be pure DM and thats why he would suit us perfectly. We would have two CMs who can defend, run up and down and attack. The only problem is lack of creativity. In that case, Oscar will have to take massive step forward.
-
Seriously I would rather pay 30 for Shaw than 20 for Luis... We got even more money with Luiz sale and Shaw is homegrown, Luis is 29 y.o. and makes no sense paying 20mio for him. Just take Shaw for 30 or Rodriguez for 20m...
-
Proper replacement for Suarez khm I wont complain Lpool doing shit transfers...
-
You are crazy if you want Oscar out for 35mio... He is good and will show it soon. Sometimes I get feeling people want Kroos other CaM to replace Oscar just because we dont have them...
-
Wrong thread...i meant Filipe Luis. Smartass
-
He was in charge...
-
Sure Mou has plans for him right? He bought him afterall.
