Its funny how this forum goes...as long certain player makes things great towards our club, he is respected and all, as soon he loses form or is almost certain that he will move away, he is regarded as overrated. Lukaku who was thought to be our long term replacement for Didi, was wanted by everyone then he says he wants to leave club and suddenly he is overrated. You say he is overrated just to make this move less painfull, because it seems you dont want to admit he is wonderful talent, because we are about to let him go like many other good players in past (Danny, Matic,...) And he will shine in other club, even more in few years. And people will be sad we didnt keep him. Sure kid is 21, he is inconsistent, even average with ball, but same thing went with Dzeko and Lewa. They were basicaly pieces of wood at young age, but improved their ball control and are now very good strikers. Lukaku will do the same, except his ceiling is few times higher than those two... I expect lot of bash, but thing is Lukaku progress hasnt stalled, hasnt decreased, but improved. When he arrived, you seriously didnt expect a 20 y.o. will just replace Drogba after comming from belgium league...or did you? He is 21 and had two fantastic seasons in PL. Our board is impatient and no way Lukaku deserves to be in starting eleven just like that, his comments are weird, he should keep his mouth shut. But on other hand, kid has huge ambition and that will bring him far. He knows that him sitting on bench, behind Costa and Torres (jesus) will not improve him. And he knows that very well. He would end up like most of our players. He wants regular play time all the time. Same like Pogba. And that is only good thing. We cant give him that, but smaller club will. And Im sure he will be hit in few years. Mark my words. All this talk about him being overrated. I mean, what do you expect him to do? He scored lot of goals in PL, more than any our striker and he is 21. He is regarded as one of best young strikers and he probably is best one. Name others who are better than him ATM? How is he overrated? Because he isnt as good as Drogba? Becase he doesnt score 30 goals per season? Because he cant bring us PL title? He has ambition and his comments in public are keeping him from eternal talents (like 99% of young players we buy) and players who will actualy reach the potential. He knows if not play here, he will leave and he will play and score there. I dont find him arrogant. I find him ambitious. And if I was him and players like Torres or Ba would get to play ahead of me in TRANSITION SEASON, I would seriously consider going somewhere I will be more respected. He isnt pussy. He knows Mou wont play him and give him chance if he decides so. Jose has too big ego. Azpi wasnt starter and despite being better than Cole, Jose only played him due to Cole injury. Its what Jose does. Experiments little and doesnt want to change much. Once he does, there is no way he will change mind. Lukaku knows that and he isnt stupid to sit on bench next 4 years hoping for chance and then realising he missed the time and opportunity to improve. I find his love to Chelsea real, but the love is not both sided. He is just another of 340549238420 talented players we buy and dont know what to do with them, we hope he will do a ''messi'' and stuff. Every talent needs special trust, and lot of work is required, Lukaku wont get that from Jose it seems.

I fully expect him to be most important part of midfield next season, regardless of who we sign. He looked amazing in first half year, now its time to move a step forward

He was in London (apparently) few days ago, I even posted link of him and another fan taking pic somewhere in London...why was he there is another question. I think Cesc to Chelsea is bit of BS, but wont have anything against if he actualy comes. However I doubt his mentality a bit, he just doesnt look like born winner.

Well he is surely worth around 30mio (if Shaw is that muxh, Lukaku should be even more), but lets say, we sell him for less and include buyback clause. Smaller clubs like Wolfsburg, BVB, Atletico,..would save those 5-10mio and we could buy him for lets say 30m in span of 3 seasons. After 3 seasons, clause expires. If any other club would want to buy him, they would surely have to pay more than 30m should he properly evolve and here we would have the edge with clause. Its quite hard to do it, but I think Lukaku is just too big gem and we should simply either keep him (loan) or put buyback clause. I am 100% if we just sell him, even for 30m, it will hunt us 10 times more than Sturridge case. I hope Jose isnt stupid and wont sell Lukaku just due to pride. Lukaku might perform well in WC and might just keep him...

IF we sell him, there MUST be buy back clause included. This kid will evolve into one of best strikers in the world, even more certainly if we sell him to a club that will have full trust in him unlike us. His progress will be faster away from our club and in few years we (hopefully) buy him back.

What he adds to his game are goals goals goals. If he can give same efficiency to Chelsea on regular basis I can see him play lot under Mou. He would be instant danger on counters. I have this feeling should Oscar underperform, we will see alot of Schurrle-Hazard-Willian. It realy will be time for Oscar to step up or Jose will have little reason to keep him.

And I feel he wont improve Barca either. He is more direct player and unless barca changes approach, he wont realy fit in. They made biggest mistake when selling Thiago, he was true replacement for Xavi.

I think all our CBs are more passive than agressive, Terry, Cahill, Iva while Kalas and Zouma are very inexperienced. Maybe Jose wants a CB who is explosive, mobile, dynamic, fast and no-nonsense. Mangala, Benatia or Varane are such CBs. Wouldnt mind him, but that price realy is bit too high. 25 at max.

It looks Torres will stay because no one wants him, it looks Ba will stay because he is big pal of Hazard (and we want Hazard to be happy right ), means Etoo will sure leave, while Costa will replace him. Thats 3 strikers... BUT where will Lukaku play? I will be realy pissed if we sell him or loan him again.

Im sure Ramires and Oscar will perform well next year. Maybe Rambo wont be starter anymore, but he will do his job in big games IMO.

If we can keep Costa and Lukaku I will as first and second choice I will be happy even if Torres stays...But if Torres somehow forces Lukaku out or has more games than Lukaku next season, well Jose fuck off. If we cant sell Torres, who says Jose needs to play him anyway? I just hope Jose wont play Torres ahead of Lukaku, that would be idiotic.

Yeah our game relies on set pieces big time. A CM who can put create those chances is a must. Oscar, Willian or Hazard just arent naturaly gifted to put those crosses from corners or freekicks while Cesc certainly is.

Few years ago before he joined barca, i would kill to see him here despite being cunt and all..now Im sure he will do good job (if he comes) and improve our midfield but I hope he can show same form he did at Arsenal. Nothing wrong with his current form at all (people saying he was bad in barca are just wrong), but he become more passive in his play. He was more dynamic back then and I hope he can be the kind of CM who pulls the ball from midfield in attack. His killer passes and possibly crosses from Filipe Luis will feed Costa big time. I know nothing been official yet but Im very certain all three will be our players soon. Costa already is practicaly and other two actualy have some resonable rumours to add not just BS (Siqueira to atletico and tores talking about Cesc are decent arguments)

Either he is our player by now or spanish NT along with their media is taking big piss on us...

Even Mata said today that Costa will enjoy playing in prem. Its done surely.

Eventualy we will need english players and I see problem in getting them. They must be good and right now only two I see promising are Shaw, Barkley and then Ward-Prowse. But if we sign Cesc, no point in buying Barkley...unless we sell Oscar. Shaw on other hand probably wont come now either. And where will we get proper english players then? I hope Baker and Rlc fullfil their talent at least to the level they can be our subs.

I think this will be one of average tournaments for him...too much of expectations, little experience. But he will do decent. Not bad at all, just I dont think he will appear on list of tournaments best performers. I hope Im wrong though. His cup will come on euros 2016 and wc 2018 IMO. He will be truly one of best on those two.

Fabregas would cunt as homegrown

Im spoiled, but I would genuinely love us to sell Mikel and buy Gueye from Lille, who would serve perfectly as back up DM. Maybe you dont know him, but kid is very talented and would work well in combinations in pivot. Then our midfield is complete for next year. Matic, Ramires, Cesc, Ginkel and Gueye. No need for Pogba. Gueye is great and cheaper.

I was ultimately against selling Mata, Luiz and Lamps, Cole departures, but if Jose manages to bring Costa for 30m, Cesc for 27 and to mention Matic back for 25, this will be one of best money wise deals ever. We will turn our team into one of most complete in world, while losing maybe 30/40mio max on the players. There are still questions what will happen with Oscar, are Hazard and Willian giving enough width, will Azpi and Luis link well with wingers etc, but generaly, this will be one sick looking team.

Indeed on other hand, this season we lost too many great players Lamps, Ash, Juan and Luiz...i know last two werent exactly legends, but they helped us win CL and are realy fantastic persons, I was very sad to see them all leave. They had to leave and I was sad, I will celebrate the day Torres goes, cant believe he is still here and they arent...
