Never convinced me tbh. Certainly not for that price for 70m at age 28. Would rather have Morata, Lukaku or Belotti than Auba.
-
For all we know, we might have 5 players lined up already, but obviously we wont present them before adidas contract runs out on july 1st.
-
Who would you get ahead of him if we actualy needed new LW? There is no one as good as Eden on market. Isco, Bale, Alexis, Grizi are not options and neither is as good as Eden to begin with. Then you have players like Mahrez, Costa, the more realistic options. If Insigne was RW, I would take him any day. Unfortunely his right foot is unreal good and he would be wasted on right side, there is no way he could be converted to RW.
-
For Tolisso? Nowhere, thats why I said if we prefered Bakayoko from begining, its fine.
-
With Cesc being the only creative mid of the 4, I think he will play quite alot one way or the other, because he offers something else. If Baka succeeds, Matic will become nothing but backup for rotation, equaly important to keep players fresh, but from Matic perspective, not the best position. Cesc will surely stay, but Matic might decide to leave. Either way we will need at least 4 midfielders, the only question is who will be the 4th; Matic, Chalobah or someone else.

With 41m euros price, he is the most expensive player Bayern ever bought. Its amazing how they keep at the top of europe with paying so "little" in times when Stones costs 50m. On another note, if we prefer Bakayoko, Im all for it, but if we were just outbid by Bayern, thats a massive failure for us. Ligue 1 players loved to play for Chelsea for over past 10 years now. We could never compete for the very best players, but if we lose battles for promising players like from french league, then we are doing something wrong.
-
Indeed. I was hoping for Tolisso, Matic, Cesc and Kante or Tolisso, Bakayoko, Cesc, Kante midfield options for next season. Unless we have something else under sleeve that nobody knows yet.
-
If we are buying Insigne, then Eden is off. So its probably just media talking bs again.
-
While I agree we need to improve on this guy, he is still quite underrated here. He created more chances than Kante for example.
-
It would be also nice to have a striker that can pop them outside of penalty area, sadly Lukaku is nothing special there.
-
Nah we have Baker for experimenting in midfield. Either give him a chance or sign a CM that is proven.
-
This, anything was possible, yet people act as if they know what exactly happened. Costa said he wants to stay here, he gets along with team mates realy well and when on form, he is a brilliant striker. Whole thing could be solved much better with both sides gaining most. But we have come to a point of no return. He must leave now. Sad thing is we will probably end up with worse striker than Costa for next season.
-
I hear he will sign for them soon
-
Gnabry to Bayern...someone laughed me off when I said we should consider him if we cant get Sanchez, I think he will be one of best Bayern players in few years. Only problem is Ancelotti doesnt like young players too much, could be difficult for Gnabry to even get play time.
-
Mustacchio, RR, Andre Silva, Kessie and very close for Biglia, Conti and Keita. Thats 7 new players ready for first 11 and while they are all qulity improvements for milan, I question their chemistry. Probably thats why they are doing it so soon, to have as much preseason together as possible. Kudos to milan for doing brilliant job on market but this could backfire. By all accounts Inter should be much better last season too, but they were rather shit.
-
Not keen on buying him, but we wont be paying100m for him. He refused the contract already and will be on last year. 60m will be the highest. It would be stupid when we haggle for every deal about every other player, but simply let everton rape us with that 100m price and take it.
-
Completely agree with you, tho Bakayoko is actualy closer to 188 or at least 186cm, despite official numbers, they probably havent been updated yet.
-
If we change the formation to fit him, just maybe. We do need more creativity, and there are not many quality attacking players. Arsenal wont sell Alexis to us, Griezmann is staying, Isco wont move after such great season. But not for that price, 70m, never.
-
Milan deal done with Andre Silva, sky sports. That means they wont go for Costa then?...
-
Milan signed Andre Silva from Porto.
-
If we cant get Sandro, I realy hope we go for Mendy then.
-
I think its not as easy to just point out that we need a new midfielder and then pick one of the "popular" group of midfielders from recent season. Throwing names just because they are midfielders is no go in real world. Take example at Fabinho. Everyone seems to be loving idea of having him next to Kante. Why not? He is midfielder and we need a midfielder right? Well if you look closely we have open spot on LEFT side of midfiled, Kante being on right. Fabinho played whole season on RIGHT side, never mind he played as RB before. Despite its easy as pie in Fifa to play Fabinho there, in real football, this transition of Fabinho from his prefered right to left side could be quite big or maybe impossible, limiting his abilities, hindering his skill. Its a little detail, but generaly speaking, just because there are Fabinho, Milinkovic, Strootman,...out there, it doesnt mean they fit OUR spot because they are midfielders.
-
He was picked as best player in under20 world cup...
-
But Im sure he wont stay for long if we do indeed fail to bring players he wants or at least similar ones. He left juve after they failed to give him what he wanted, I dont think it would be different here.

English players are crap nowdays, more or less. Spurs are doing realy well indeed, but thats exception. Its not about giving chances and play time, english players are unbelievably average. Thats what hurting Englang national team, not us or City developing and playing english players. Henderson, Wilshere, Stones, Sterling,...all got plenty of play time, but they are simply not on highest level. Nevermind, it was the smaller teams developing most of talent, who then moved to United, Chelsea,...if there were top english talents, we would play them. The real blame is on these smaller clubs. In spain, you have sevilla, valencia, betis,...developing every season. Same in germany, italy. Then bigger teams buy them and play. In england? Almost no one is good enough to start. Another thing, in germany you can get player like Dahoud for 10m. And thats around the standard. Here, you need to fork 40m for Barkley. Lol. But it would be stupid to limit us and play the likes of Barkley just because they are english. I agree its big big shame we soon might not have any english players, but I still prefer quality foreign ones over overpriced average english. In the whole england there is only Bertrand I would consider good enough to be starter for us, if I dont count spurs players who would never be sold to us. Its sad situation.
