  1. I'd love to see Luiz pull off one of his master class performances again. No Azpi
  2. Nigel 'leg-breaker' De Jong off to AC Milan
  3. Does anybody else think Carroll had enough of a performance at the Euros to give himself a shout in Rogers' squad. If used effectively, Carroll can be lethal...just remember the impact he had in the FA Cup final, he would've equalized if Cech didn't pull of a godly save. Allardyce's plays 80s long-ball tactics, so that loan should is a great opportunity for Carroll to re-establish himself.
  4. I have to agree man. Bar the Lukaku signing, our board has signed extremely well-balanced, cohesive players that have fit into our team's mold. Mata and Hazard are the two most expensive signings from the last three windows, and they have been nothing short of brilliant. If the board make a "big" deadline day signing, I have faith that it will probably be a player that we can expect to fill some role that Robbie can foresee a need for. Personally, I don't think Schurrle will be that player. We already brought in Moses, a right-sided, technically skilled winger. We have Sturridge and Ramires who can also play on the right, even if they are squares to that circle.
  5. Man Utd have an easy group but a lot of travel, 1430mi to Braga, 2100 to Istanbul, and 1600 to Cluj. Their domestic form will certainly suffer
  6. I guess we are both incorrect lol, Baltics are Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia
  7. I don't think it's a tough fixture football wise, but the 2000mi travel makes it very difficult on the players
  8. I'm so glad uefa showed Messi and Ronaldo missing crucial penalties in that montage. They are sitting right there in the crowd :lol2:
  9. So good to hear that theme song again... edit: omg that host is so hawt
  10. Yep, just not really a funny picture in the end. Olivia Munn is nice though
  11. For sure, I wasn't really saying that to defend his character, just qualifying the societal value of the archetypal hero that we love to glorify. A bit of pedantry here... but just try not to use Hitler examples. It's the one-size-fits-all type of argument in ethics, and its so overused that it hardly proves a specific point. Again, just me being pedantic, a two-semester long course on western ethics has really done my head in
  12. Agreeing with Duppy, he was a inspiration to many ...and that has to count for something as far as inspiring people, improving people's lives etc. It's just a shame hat he was essentially used as a marketing puppet to expand the cycling market in the US...as soon as he stopped making headlines, the agencies that had turned a blind eye during his career are now feeding him to the sharks. Shame on all parties, really Still, his marketability produced a decent silver lining -- for the most part -- in the Livestrong charity.
  13. It looks like the motorcycle is checking her out, and she's like 'bitch please' ...not really that funny though, tbh
  14. What a self-important cunt. Just because he got lucky on guesses doesn't make 'fucktards' or 'gullible cunts' out of the people who were impressed by it...it just makes them as bored and/or interested in the goings-on of an active transfer market. He's the real fucktard if the only constructive thing he could put his mind to over a summer holiday was slaving over keeping a fake twitter account updated and looking/sounding legitimate. You know, instead of getting a job or applying himself to society or his education.
  15. I may be shite in the fantasy league, but I'm at the top of the predictions atm. yay go me
  16. Brilliant opportunity to add some real substance to our cause this year. Nothing like bagging nice shiny piece of silverware at such an early point in the campaign
  17. Fuck yeah man apply anywhere and everywhere. If you're not going to uni straight away the best thing you can do is get retail/sales oriented job experience under your belt. As long as you are still at home too, that is money straight into the bank
  18. I've got about 3 weeks left. Time to change my summer sleeping habits of napping hard during the day and browsing the interwebs/playing Fifa by night
  19. What a man, what a professional. Makes me delighted to see that he's reached the pinnacle of English football and can say he plays for the european champions.
  20. Three things from around the league on Saturday: - Aston Villa is going down - AVB is a disease - Steve Clarke and Michael Laudrup look like they know how to manage a team
  21. I think Mata played an essential role facilitating the runs and plays that Hazard and Torres were making. He was always making the penultimate pass that Hazard or Torres thrived on. Sexy football
  22. Any idea why the NextGen game will be played behind closed doors?
