- I hate to see Mata laboring out on the wings, he just drifts out of the game... - Hazard on the is superb out on the left, he had a good balance of selfishness and team play out there - Honestly, I thought Sturridge showed some real fire out on the right That being said, I'd like to see a Hazard - Mata - Oscar attack in either the Wigan or Reading match. Could be sensational or could be flat
-
Good to see him: 1. score first/take the lead when it mattered and 2. continue to push when service wasn't coming. Last year about half the goals he scored were when the game was already done and dusted, and when the service wasn't great he had a tendency to become nonexistent. He looked like there was a fire under his bum today, happy to see it.
-
Nobody else excited about his goal today? Great piece of awareness and opportunism to turn it in after Pantilimon spilled it.
-
For those of you who are superstitious, just remember what happened to the team that lost 3-2 in the CS (with 3 second half goals)
-
Positives: with 11 men we had decent build up play and Torres scored. Negatives: no possession after we went down to 10, defense was afraid of closing players down, ref was having a wank
-
Ref controlling the game with his cards... disgraceful
-
Get in!!!! nandooo

Silva is, for the most part, the linchpin of City's front four. Nasri linking play isnt quite the same as Silva linking play *knock on wood*

For those of you who think Ramires cant cross, give it a break. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9OWZdkcnjs

The header actually looked pretty tough, he was ahead of the near post and had to head behind the ball to steer it in. He did pretty well to direct it, the cross was just pretty high and Oscar's not really tall. Like someone said earlier, we bought him for his excellence in the midfield not his heading ability. From his history, he shows up in big games (hattrick in the u20 final), so lets hope he has a short memory for fuck ups and that he can succeed here.
-
The West Brom forum reckons he will be a guaranteed striker. Damn, I really hope so. If he's is given some faith and real prem experience, it could be a huge season for him. But the 'Kakuta experience' is always a possibility.

Without the six-pack accents, I think it looks damn good in action. The black/white badge is class Bir CFC, you beat me to it!
-
Did anybody think the sleeves on the third kit looked way too long in the Brighton game?

brilliant laugh http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlfOf2fILiU

Any credibility to those sources? I'm excited to see them coming from a couple different (albeit dubious) places rather than just one [dubious] place.
-
When they don't have 8 of their own players in the box, we score. Hmm I think some of these reactions are a bit unwarranted, you have to expect a slow game if they are going to park it
-
Yep, always the easiest route Just out of curiosity Cap, do you ride? I've been riding regularly for like the last two years, never competitively though. I have an '87 Centurion Sport DLX road bike complete with the original neon green and purple paint scheme lolol
-
Yeah exactly, at first glance he doesn't seem the cheating type. Will be a real pity if/when he gets caught since he's been the poster boy of British sport all summer, having the nation on his back and all.
-
Sorry for creepin on this, but basically Wiggo is dopin' ?
-
You weren't out with this guy were you?
-
Damn. I used to play during primary school but once I hit a growth spurt the gifts of coordination and athletic skill never returned.
-
Did you win though?
-
He's definitely an old school striker: physically gifted, single-minded, has an energy rate that is an absolute nuisance for defenders, and most of all he's clinical/no-nonsense in front of goal. What I enjoy about watching him though is that for a big guy, he has impeccable control of the ball. He can take the ball from a difficult position and make it an easy position to make an accurate attempt on goal. Quality striker this lad, I'd love to see him here.
