  1. but given isn't npower championship quality
  2. i feel you are highly biased to homegrown players. for the sheer number of finals/semifinals he has won by himself, he deserves to be in the discussion for greatest chelsea striker anyway, torres to start the season as our primary forward with sturridge and lukaku on hand if needed.. hulk to assume ST role if torres rots again
  3. i have seen both hulk and adam johnson enough to know hulk should be our signing between those. let's forget the fact that i am completely against signing another winger, if it came down to hulk or johnson/jarvis, i would definitely pick hulk. we are moving forward as a club and we have to use this champions league winners tag to attract TOP quality talent. adam johnson is a big risk at Chelsea and i think he will be nothing more than a rotation option. having 2-3 rotation options is not better than having 1 quality player.. hulk has the power especially over johnson. in the premier league, johnson may skin stephen ward but will come a cropper against an evra. hulk will be a better fit given that he will provide a backup to fernando if he misfires. trusting sturridge and lukaku to come good at ST is a bit risky
  4. Ronaldinho? He was brilliant. no one incorporated skill moves into real gameplay and still turned out to be world class. he was the sole reason for barca dominance pre-messi. the team was nowhere near him then
  5. now the thing is, does rdm have an attacking philosophy that he will implement next season? because surely, the 4-2-3-1 counter will not work even with Hazard on the wing imo. we will find it hard to break down mid table opponents due to the limited number of players attacking in that formation. we should have a dynamic formation so that mata has more people to pick out. if rdm can implement a new formation, then i think he has a shot of cementing the managerial position.
  6. Awaiting validation on this but i heard few spaniards saying he is more combative than creative?
  7. yes but what we need is an attacking option for mata or the DLP to pick out. having only 4 players attacking and 6 players back defending wont work. we have to be dynamic , so i hope we have cabaye and ramires in the CM positions. ramires can give us a good option in attack and has the pace and stamina to get back to defend. he will be our yaya toure
  8. Moyes is a brilliant manager and sadly, i think he will consider spurs as a good option to elevate his career, more out of the fact that he has spent such a long time at everton than anything else
  9. i am saying it in terms of chelsea. without a schemer, we would play like the dutch national team. 2 CDM's who almost never get forward. that way, the 4 attackers are left to do the job of attacking. even if the 4 are van persie, sneijder, robben, afellay, they are finding it tough to unlock defenses because denmark, etc will have numbers behind defending. lampard doesnt have the legs to attack anymore and mikel doesn't cross the halfway line., mata will be forced to drop deeper if we play mikel and lampard leaving only 3 genuine attackers. this will make us run out of ideas in the final third. that's why we need a schemer in the middle. as for continuing with the 4-2-3-1, i am not against it in big games but i hope we change our system vs the wigans and the west broms
  10. Boateng is a bit too forward thinking imo. We have to play the creative midfielder in the double pivot so that mata doesn't have to drop deep to spread the ball. now we will have the option of using both wingers to spread the play wide (i didn't consider kalou a winger last season)
  11. adding dzagoev will be a cheap luxury atm
  12. would take him over any other right back in europe atm
  13. disagree. fellaini, essien, mikel, meireles and romeu will all be CDM's. that means its just lamps (and josh) in the creative CM position. the schemer in the mid was our main problem last season. look at how pirlo's passes helped italy counter against spain. we do need a schemer in mid and if we don't get one, we will all be regretting it by december. options - 1. Yohan Cabaye - history with hazard, deep lying, creative, good right foot, prem league experience 2. joao moutinho - portuguese modric although no experience in the prem league 3. nuri sahin ( as ss mentioned) - if added, he should be given time to develop and must be nothin more than a squad player
  14. the tactic may not be retained but i am pretty sure that we will cave back into our half against the reasonably big teams (everton and above)
  15. Malouda - first choice for France
  16. if drogba gets a statue, so should some of terry, lampard, cech, di matteo, zola, harris, bonetti, wise, hollins, clarke, mourinho. henry was a class apart from the rest at arsenal and that's why he got his statue outside emirates along with adams and chapman. arsenal were condemned for leaving out wright, so imagine if drogba gets a statue and zola doesn't
  17. QPR Home although i am pretty sure our opening weekend luck will run out this year (birmingham, pompey, hull, westbrom, stoke). i am expecting everton away
  18. he's the perfect fit. creative and deep lying with a stinging right foot
  19. agree with your hypothesis. but keep in mind that robbie played deep and tried to launch quick counters at the end of the season. it didn't work out with kalouda on the wings but i think the tactic will be tried out again with hazard and hulk atleast against a big team when we have to soak up pressure. that way, torres' runs will be useful but he has to improve his finishing. he should go for the kill rather than try looping buffon or going around buffon. he expected torres to take it round the out side on that one occasion
  20. u didn't get a permanent ban. you got banned for a week to cool off now before u start typing a racist response, note that i did not insult you in anyway
