  1. Yilmaz is hardly Neymar and Rooney is hardly Downing though. Contradictions prove nothing. For every Torres/SWP that didn't work, there is a Aquilani/Shevchencko. Anyone with PL experience will know the pace/style of the game here and takes less adapting. Signing a PL-proven player doesn't involve as much risk as signing a good player from Turkey
  2. Villy Billy better be careful here. He's doing well at Spurs.
  3. Gotta love Arsenal transfer policy. Look around, identify targets, lengthy negotiation, fail and settle for cheap alternative Wait and watch Wenger snap up Franco di Santo on a free later in the window
  4. Rather than being a Torres 2.0, I think Rooney will be RVP 2.0 edit: Tomo, you make a good case for Yilmaz but the last point about English experience this point will never go Yilmaz's way. 2 contradicting examples - Torres and SWP - can't swing this one away from Rooney Signing a PL-proven player is far safer/better than signing a good player from an inferior league
  5. Maybe because he's the only DM in the squad now?
  6. Liverpool tried that when they signed Downing, Henderson and the lot.
  7. de Bruyne is 7.0. Even Giaccherini priced at 7.0 Suddenly everyone's prices looks steep this year.
  8. not a massive improvement on Lukaku though
  9. I really doubt Jose gave away his transfer plans in public. It's all a hoax. de Rossi must be on a plane to Roma as we speak
  10. Oscar is the least versatile. He'll either be 2nd-choice to Mata or play deeper
  11. Yes. Good number to start off with. Also, the thing about putting Chelsea news across as threads.
  12. I think this is a good plan to improve the site aside from the Forum. The Home Page looks fantastic and if updated with regular news, this could be a great all-round Chelsea site
  13. The Daily Mail should be sued for making up the 10m + Luiz/Mata rumour.
  14. Chelsea Football Club will play AS Roma on August 10 in Washington DC to end their pre-season tour of the United States. The friendly will be played at the RFK Stadium few days after the inaugural Guinness International Champions Cup, where Chelsea start off by facing another Italian side - Inter Milan. The game kicks off at 8 pm local time and will be screened live on ChelseaTV. This game against Roma comes just 8 days before Chelsea's season-opener at home to Hull City, ending a long pre-season with a total of 7 games spanning 2 continents on opposite ends of the world. Chelsea last played Roma in the 2008-09 Champions League Group Stages where the Blues won 1-0 at Stamford Bridge before succumbing to a 3-1 defeat in the reverse fixture in Rome. 15. I can help whether it is for something specific or just posting articles on the site yes. it would depend on who's free and such. we're all spread out across the world. when 1 is free, let him/her handle that particular week(s) and others contribute little.
  16. well...atleast he's Home-Grown...
  17. Kevin de Bruyne's passing is as good as Mata's. But he's versatile, so I think de Bruyne will spend more time on the flanks
