  1. Don't think the player would be keen to leave top level football. Rumor is some of the Portuguese who went like Ruben Neves are looking for a way back Our interest in Semenyo seems to be evaluating a good market opportunity. Clear that Gittens is too raw and Garnacho has a lot to improve in his game too
  2. He made a smart choice staying with Villa in the summer. Didn't risk changing environment in a WC year Could see him leaving if Emery leaves the club but otherwise he seems a great fit there, becoming a club talisman and Chelsea don't look like a huge step up right now
  3. Since we are looking for a LCB 👀
  4. Was done to rotate Enzo who hasn't had a rest for a while. And James had a great game in midfield vs Arsenal only recently
  5. Not gonna be Chelsea. Could be Italian clubs
  6. Will remain P4 at Christmas. 3 summers in a row we've had the same set of problems.
  7. Should have won it. Had lots of space in the second half.
  8. Don't even have an alternative for him to throw on
  9. Yup. Was crying out for a top winger instead of two more projects like Gittens and Garnacho
  10. The big miscalculation in the summer was assuming JP can handle the role up front.
  11. I don't think it is similar to going for Moyes who was never at a set up like United's before and didn't set up his team anywhere close to how Fergie did. With Maresca there's a lot of similarity to City's shape + Maresca has had experience at a big club now. Would not find the switch a huge jump up like Moyes did.
  12. They have better players across key positions CB and ST.
  13. Pretty much the director's fault with this idea of a young squad to maximize profit. Maresca was asking for a LCB in place of Colwill for example and there were players like Hincapie in the market. Quite clear why City like him - He has a good reputation in doing the nerdy stuff - watching hours of footage, preparing teams for opponents, has an idea of how he'd like to play.
  14. For a season where he has lost his best CB Colwill, best attacker Palmer and lost his best midfielder for 3 games in a crunch time and had a hatful of red cards to contend with, Maresca has done more than alright and anyone who thinks the manager is the issue in all of this are wrong. We also came into the season with a 2 week preparation and no real pre-season. It was also a summer where our global profile was restored after years of mediocrity. We can upgrade Maresca but I can't fault his commitment to preparing the team every week. Only few occasions he's got things wrong this season imo.
