Club has done fairly well with sales - Ugo, Broja, KDH, Madueke. Wouldn't be too worried about the sales
There's always Saudi if the market is not there in Europe
Can't fault Newcastle for staying away from Jackson at quoted 70m price. Seems the Bayern interest was not real either.
Don't mind Jackson staying unless selling him is essential to funding new signings
Badiashile is injured till September
Anyone know the status of Fofana ?
We will be in trouble if we are going into the league with Tosin-Chalobah backline
Ornstein article has this line : A price of £70million has previously been communicated to suitors.
Don't like this - not even as a starting point for discussions
I think we should just keep Veiga around and use Hato/Veiga at LCB
instead of signing yet another player for CB when we have 6/7 already for two positions in the XI
Read a report we need to sell from the players registered for Conference League last season. If Jackson goes for a cool 60m (double the amount we paid for him), I think we can do business again - Xavi and Garnacho to round out the squad
To be fair, the attackers the sporting directors picked out in the last 2 years have been good. Along with signing Palmer, Neto, Jackson, Guiu, and now Delap and Pedro, we were also linked to Duran and Samu who both exploded soon after.
Agree with this. All of the striker market except for Isak look like dice rolls and could easily flop. Going for Delap and Pedro was one of the best possible outcomes we could aim for in this window
Yep, but this keeps happening. Lot of youngsters know Chelsea have great youth facilities but when it comes to signing a professional contract, they look elsewhere - Musiala, Livramento few years ago.
Pretty clear it will be reduced with Gittens Estevao and possibly Garnacho joining
He would be an idiot to wait till the season is underway to find himself 6th/7th choice
