  1. Villa didn't make a permanent offer it appears
  2. Unlikely he has any interest in the circus here
  3. Because there are British expats here. Enough of them to fill a bar on 33rd street during the big games + Chelsea has marketed in the US in the recent past after the successes in the Roman era. Fwiw Chicago has a sizable Chelsea following too that gathered to watch the draw vs City.
  4. Would be surprised if their interest in Guehi is real. Gabriel signed a new deal till 2029. Hincapie and Calafiori can both play LCB too.
  5. No complaints about the coaching staff. The changes helped and the second half performance was pretty good. Shame we didn't get at least a point.
  6. Is anyone surprised? Arsenal have been at it for longer and haven't hesitated to go for the best available players.
  7. Pedro over Estevao here? With Palmer on a yellow too
  8. That goal has been coming. McFarlane at the wheel!
  9. Happy with the second half display so far.
  10. Delap needs to finish that. Good setup by Palmer.
  11. Cucurella suspended for the Cup game which he would have been rested for anyway
  12. Super lucky we are not behind. Hope they have a plan for the second half. As Silva brings in attackers, there will be more spaces opening up.
  13. 3 yellow cards for dissent. Unraveling here after a decent start
  14. Just glad it isn't a penalty. Stupid to hold on for so long.
  15. Hoping he doesn't change Rob Sanchez into a sweeper keeper like Penders. Major changes can wait till the summer
  16. There is no scenario I see Leipzig will be interested in Gittens
  17. A lot of their points fall apart on basic scrutiny. For example While he did want a centre-back, he was unwilling to sanction departures to create space, and no suitable option emerged following the pursuit of Dean Huijsen. Liverpool found themselves in a similar position. Liverpool almost signed Guehi on deadline day and Arsenal signed Hincapie as backup, PSG signed Zabarnyi. There were plenty of options.
  18. With a good break-clause, it is fine I think. Gives the belief that we have long-term goals
  19. Gary O’Neill, Rosenior's replacement at Strasbourg, is represented by Wasserman Agency. Wasserman also represent former Chelsea manager Graham Potter, incoming manager Liam Rosenior, Mali Gusto, Lesley Ugochukwu and until Summer 2025, former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca. Close links to current director Paul Winstanley as well. The next time someone tells me this board is making decision by "analyzing metrics", I'm just gonna take it with a pinch of salt. There is now a growing body of evidence that they're just doing deals that are easy business-wise instead of thinking what is important football-wise.
