Looked off in the replay to me

Game over

The big miscalculation in the summer was assuming JP can handle the role up front.
-
I don't think it is similar to going for Moyes who was never at a set up like United's before and didn't set up his team anywhere close to how Fergie did. With Maresca there's a lot of similarity to City's shape + Maresca has had experience at a big club now. Would not find the switch a huge jump up like Moyes did.
-
They have better players across key positions CB and ST.
-
Pretty much the director's fault with this idea of a young squad to maximize profit. Maresca was asking for a LCB in place of Colwill for example and there were players like Hincapie in the market. Quite clear why City like him - He has a good reputation in doing the nerdy stuff - watching hours of footage, preparing teams for opponents, has an idea of how he'd like to play.
-
For a season where he has lost his best CB Colwill, best attacker Palmer and lost his best midfielder for 3 games in a crunch time and had a hatful of red cards to contend with, Maresca has done more than alright and anyone who thinks the manager is the issue in all of this are wrong. We also came into the season with a 2 week preparation and no real pre-season. It was also a summer where our global profile was restored after years of mediocrity. We can upgrade Maresca but I can't fault his commitment to preparing the team every week. Only few occasions he's got things wrong this season imo.

Made it till December in the title race

We can offer Emery the chance to manage a big club again in the summer
-
Josh's Premier League starts this season - 0-0 vs Palace, 2-1 vs Liverpool, 0-3 vs Forest and 1-2 vs Sunderland where he was taken before Sunderland's winner was scored thanks to Tosin. I think you are seriously underestimating how much of an upgrade having ball playing CBs like Josh, Fofana are in comparison to CBs like Tosin.

Was the wrong call though We don't have a strong enough squad to rotate so much. We managed it vs Burnley when Santos subbed in for Caicedo but this league is too tough and we should respect that
-
Rather than rotate the first XI I would take some of the starters off in the 2nd half. Santos and Enzo - a new midfield is certain. Wouldn't want to change up too much from the main team
-
Maresca seems like an obsessed football nerd and I can't fault him for the work he's done with the squad he's been given. High level coaching is all about chasing marginal gains and Maresca has been largely good at setting up this team. All this while dealing with an injury-hit squad and a freak run of red cards.

This was really an aberration looking back
-
BlueCo did like Rico Lewis and O'Reilly before they shot up. They have been eyeing fullbacks able to operate in midfield. We have a Strasbourg player who could make the step up too - Barco
-
Couple of great saves from Sanchez today
-
James is having a monster game
-
our defense is a lot better when he’s playing.

Can’t let Saka cross like that.

Delap is the right move

Set piece merchants. Maresca out
