Nico - without the pressure of being the main forward - is an asset. Except for finishing being a letdown in some phases last season, he was doing all the other work needed of a striker.

We have Estevao and Quenda is coming. We don't need another teenage project. Would be great if we can get in the conversation for a Rodrygo or Rogers (Jackson goes the other way) for the attack.

Too good to be true

Hasn't he been tossed out because of the transfer interest in him? He was ahead of Nkunku and even Sancho, Neto last season. And there's interest in him because he's been good (not spectacular) and has given glimpses that he can be of great use in a game - constantly takes on defenders, always looking to progress the ball. I can see BlueCo taking a 50m + deal but I don't see how replacing Madueke (who is 23, used to the Premier League and has consistently got better in the last two seasons) with a teenager like Estevao is making the squad better? If we are looking to replace Madueke, a good player will cost more than 50m.

If Caicedo has a problem I would rest him in the final No point risking him before the season has begun

Seems pointless - the effort to move out Madueke (after putting in 2.5 years into growing him + when he's approaching his prime years) and bringing in Garnacho/Nwaneri/Fofana and re-starting the process. We are only weakening the first team with this change. The common sense move would be to keep him unless Arsenal stump up 55-60m

There is no replacement in line. Makes less sense to sell for lower price when almost all reported replacements (Garnacho, Fofana, Rogers) are looking more expensive

Why should the club accept a low-ball offer for a player who's good and is attracting interest?

1 - Big no 2 - Project youngster. Will cost 50m + 3 - Another project 4 - Quoted 100m. No chance even though he's good

Don't get the Madueke hate on here. He's our first choice right winger - he's direct, only behind Doku in take-ons, has consistently improved over two years. We will be weakening the squad by letting him go, especially with no replacement in line.

Not as a rigid third choice but would have the security of two senior wingers because Estevao is an unknown quantity. We will only know during the season how he gets on in England.
