It is nothing like Cucu, Neto or Caicedo deals. All 3 had a serious body of work in the Premier League before they were signed. We are also in a far more settled version of our squad building right now and it was the wrong move to go for a young project winger for that money

Pre-season game + Palace Don't think it's a stretch to say Gittens coming in has not improved the starting XI. Could have saved the 50+ millions and signed a winger who could take on a starting role.
