  1. A fan's opinion of Mata- average player; like mikel, will never be close to a worldbeater with lack of anysort of pace. I say keep for a squad player.
  2. I just don't understand why some fans are criticizing him,he has been by far our best player and instead of such criticism,he requires more appreciation and support.Imagine this Chelsea team without Mata,we would have been definitely 6th or 7th in the league and would be fighting for the Europa League spot rather than a 4th place finish.
  3. Reports have suggested that Guss may consider a return to Chelsea in June but I would appreciate if Roman looked at younger candidates.Guss is 65 years old and since longevity is what we fans crave for,I think the job will be unsuitable for him.We need a coach in his 40s to 50s who has achieved substantial amount of recognition and is a great motivator but then again Roman contradicts the whole idea of managerial longevity at this club. Based on my judgements,I have shortlisted the 3 most viable and realistic candidates. 1.Didier Deschamps 2.Pep Guardiola 3.Frank Rijkaard
  4. You may be thankful for this result if we pip Spurs for the fourth spot by just one point.
  5. Lets be grateful that we came out with a point. For me its a point earned rather than a 2 point loss.
  6. Ramires is playing right back and forward.Chelsea playing with 10 men.
  7. The fact that SAF tried to sign Lampard in January showed that was a lot of unrest in the team.Lampard didn't doubt AVB's managerial skills but disapproved of his communication skills. RDM mentions in most of his interviews that he talks to each player individually in the team and such emphasis tells me that AVB really didn't do that in the training ground.I don't think Chelsea really require a reputed or an accomplished manager instead they need a manager who has a laissez-faire style or perhaps even a democratic kind, where there is effective communication between the players and managerial staff. With figures like Lampard and Terry in the team, this club just needs a motivator like RDM.
  8. Essien used to play right back for us,won't be surprised if he starts as a rb
  9. Well compared to our other defensive midfielders like Essien and Romeu,he was quite slow and very predictable. He would side pass a lot and would hardly pass the ball ahead but now its good to know that he has changed his approach and is trying to build up his game a lot quicker.Essien is not as good as he was and so its great to see Mikel play better than he used to.
  10. Its never a good spectacle to see a club boo their own player,I thought the booing was really quite unnecessary and won't be surprised if Raul asks for a transfer request. Not that I would be really sad of his departure but as fans we should respect our club players on the pitch.
  11. There is no doubt that Mikel has improved over the few months. He has been playing really well and the fact that he is only 24 shows that this club can rely on him for the future.I must admit that I haven't been his greatest fan and in fact wanted him to leave in January but I am glad Chelsea have stuck with him. He's a great player and would be a great addition to any team, glad he is a Chelsea player.
  12. Its quite heartbreaking to see a 20m prolific young talent play for the reserves week in and week out.Chelsea should have loaned him out to a premier club in January but sadly they didn't. Lukaku needs to get loaned out next season so that he can show his true potential to Chelsea and its also important that he gets loaned out to club which has familiar football style like Chelsea so that he gets used to our style. Loaning him out to Swansea or Newcastle would be a mistake because their midfield provides great service to their strikers.A club like Stoke would be the perfect for him as they depend on physical strength and I am sure Luakaku will fit the bill.
  13. We don't need a right winger,we have Kevin De Bruyne.
  14. How about Doumbia,is he also injure prone because if he isn't I think he would do quite well at Chelsea.
  15. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2012/03/22/2983852/chelsea-want-ba-to-replace-drogba-report 15m+Lukaku on loan for Ba would be a great deal.
  16. But I remember reading an article where Anelka mentioned he like playing as a left winger more than a striker.
  17. I wasn't astonished that we lost because quite frankly City were the better team from the first second. They outplayed us most of the times and their finishing let them down otherwise I am sure we would have lost by more than a goal margin. We were lucky to score a goal but then on City looked more lethal than us.Chelsea gave them far too much of space, which allowed their players to play freely around us and eventually score that second vital goal they required. Chelsea must improve and step up their game once again because the match on Saturday is a must win.It will be a disaster if we don't qualify for Champions League and so therefore its important that we win all our remaining premier league games, which IMO is achievable.
  18. Just remember his performance against Napoli and be happy he wasn't worse than Bosingwa.
  19. Precisely why winning the Champions League is our only best way for qualifying for the tournament.
  20. I agree we are 5 points behind Spurs and if we lose on Saturday then there is a slim chance of us qualifying for Champions League.I think the only way we can possibly qualify is if we win the Champions league
  21. If his injury is serious then RDM has to play Ferriera as right back because Bosingwa was just terrible today,I am pretty sure Ashely Cole or even Petr Cech would done a better job as a right back than him.
