I think the game is going to end 1-1.Benfica will be determined to show the world their true potential and ability. No one thought that Porto would win the Champions league let alone knock out Manchester United so its important that we don't expect a win and be content with a draw because there are chances of us losing this one.
-
Hes a very experienced candidate but the man is 65 years old and I am sure he will retire in another 2-3 years time so that doesn't help with our want of longevity.
-
Y u never quote!?lol

4th place finish looks very unlikely but our players must give their all now.Yes,it will be a disaster if we don't qualify for Champions league but then we all must be realistic and not optimistic.Life without Champions league will mean that top players will not choose to come here unless they are financially motivated and may as a result help Chelsea implement some youth talents.Players like Ryan,Josh and Lucas might get more chances in competitions like the Carling Cup and Europa League(that is if we qualify for that) so on a whole it will be surely be devastating to see Chelsea not play in the Champions League but still life will still go on.We as fans must stay united and hope for the arrival of an inspiring and motivating coach in the summer who hopefully will stay here for long. Its not that I think RDM is not good enough for Chelsea or anything but in all serious seriousness the chances of him getting appointed on a permanent basis is quite slim.
-
Fair enough but he may be a gamble worth taking.
-
Hiddink's age is the whole point of considering Frank and Dider otherwise I would have no problem with the arrival of Guss.
-
I am not basing my judgements based solely on the goal he scored today. He has been quite consistent and has done well.I think the only explanation for the 'selfish' style would be ambition and desire to pay at a top club like Chelsea.
-
We all know that Chelsea are in desperate need of some creativity and require a winger,so I think Ben Arfa can be a really good addition to the team.He has scored some exceptional goals for Newcastle and provided some great assists as well. He's 25 years old an IMO would form a formidable partnership with Mata and plus he may be a cheaper alternative than Lavezzi or Hulk.Chelsea should start showing some serious interest in him and make him a top priority in the summer. Your thoughts?
-
I disagree,I think with a player history at Chelsea and having some great experience with Juventus and Marseille,he might just be the one of the very few out there who can be successful here.
-
A fan's opinion of Mata- average player; like mikel, will never be close to a worldbeater with lack of anysort of pace. I say keep for a squad player.
-
I just don't understand why some fans are criticizing him,he has been by far our best player and instead of such criticism,he requires more appreciation and support.Imagine this Chelsea team without Mata,we would have been definitely 6th or 7th in the league and would be fighting for the Europa League spot rather than a 4th place finish.

Reports have suggested that Guss may consider a return to Chelsea in June but I would appreciate if Roman looked at younger candidates.Guss is 65 years old and since longevity is what we fans crave for,I think the job will be unsuitable for him.We need a coach in his 40s to 50s who has achieved substantial amount of recognition and is a great motivator but then again Roman contradicts the whole idea of managerial longevity at this club. Based on my judgements,I have shortlisted the 3 most viable and realistic candidates. 1.Didier Deschamps 2.Pep Guardiola 3.Frank Rijkaard

You may be thankful for this result if we pip Spurs for the fourth spot by just one point.
-
Lets be grateful that we came out with a point. For me its a point earned rather than a 2 point loss.
-
Only Anton and Wayne can confirm that.
-
Ramires is playing right back and forward.Chelsea playing with 10 men.
-
The fact that SAF tried to sign Lampard in January showed that was a lot of unrest in the team.Lampard didn't doubt AVB's managerial skills but disapproved of his communication skills. RDM mentions in most of his interviews that he talks to each player individually in the team and such emphasis tells me that AVB really didn't do that in the training ground.I don't think Chelsea really require a reputed or an accomplished manager instead they need a manager who has a laissez-faire style or perhaps even a democratic kind, where there is effective communication between the players and managerial staff. With figures like Lampard and Terry in the team, this club just needs a motivator like RDM.
-
Essien used to play right back for us,won't be surprised if he starts as a rb
-
Well compared to our other defensive midfielders like Essien and Romeu,he was quite slow and very predictable. He would side pass a lot and would hardly pass the ball ahead but now its good to know that he has changed his approach and is trying to build up his game a lot quicker.Essien is not as good as he was and so its great to see Mikel play better than he used to.
-
Its never a good spectacle to see a club boo their own player,I thought the booing was really quite unnecessary and won't be surprised if Raul asks for a transfer request. Not that I would be really sad of his departure but as fans we should respect our club players on the pitch.
-
There is no doubt that Mikel has improved over the few months. He has been playing really well and the fact that he is only 24 shows that this club can rely on him for the future.I must admit that I haven't been his greatest fan and in fact wanted him to leave in January but I am glad Chelsea have stuck with him. He's a great player and would be a great addition to any team, glad he is a Chelsea player.
-
Its quite heartbreaking to see a 20m prolific young talent play for the reserves week in and week out.Chelsea should have loaned him out to a premier club in January but sadly they didn't. Lukaku needs to get loaned out next season so that he can show his true potential to Chelsea and its also important that he gets loaned out to club which has familiar football style like Chelsea so that he gets used to our style. Loaning him out to Swansea or Newcastle would be a mistake because their midfield provides great service to their strikers.A club like Stoke would be the perfect for him as they depend on physical strength and I am sure Luakaku will fit the bill.
-
We always have Ramires

KDB is better.
