  1. He has vast experience in the premiership and would be an ideal candidate for the job.Doesn't have much experience of managing a 'top' club but he definitely fits the bill for longevity.
  2. The win against Villa is nothing really to be proud of.The fact that we allowed them to score 2 goals and be level 2-2 for sometime was quite disappointing to say the least.Benfica will be a far better team than Villa and it vital that our players don't show any signs of complacency.Benfica are capable of defeating us and I am sure they will bring their A game to Stamford Bridge.
  3. Alan Pardew wouldn't be a bad option either.
  4. OUT- Bosingwa Ferriera Raul Malouda Kalou Drogba Essien IN-(realistic targets) Cavani Hazard or Hulk(40m max bid) Cesar Azpilicueta. and play Josh,Kevin and Gael regularly while giving youngsters like Piazon and Kalas a chance too.
  5. I personally feel it will be better if both of them just leave.Ferreira has truly been a legend for us but its time he moves on to another club.Their departure will also help Hutchinson get some game time so maybe its for the best if Paulo and Bosingwa leave.
  6. Its highly unlikely that he will take a pay cut.I think he and Bosingwa should definitely be on the list for the summer exodus. We need to bring in a natural right back and not always depend on Ivanovic's versatility.
  7. AVB tried too hard to establish himself as a strong and respectable manager. He dug his own grave by not communicating with his senior players and maybe was a little too cocky because he had the backing of the owner.Chelsea is definitely not an easy club to manage and it was sad to see AVB make life more harder by choosing to make the decisions he made. The idea of Chelsea playing 'beautiful' football and youth prospects emerging under him was quite promising but I guess he focused too much on the future and gave little importance to the present. He should have spoken more with his players but chose to go the autocratic way.He should have known better that an autocratic style doesn't really work at this club and in the end its fair to say that he only has himself to blame for the sacking.
  8. I thought April fools was on the 1st.
  9. His departure would help Josh get more games.
  10. If we can pay Torres 180k a week then he surely deserves the 80k hes asking for.
  11. Oh yes he is also there but he is more of a winger for us than a striker.Having said that I really hope he gets to start as striker for one of the upcoming games.
  12. If Chelsea want to keep him then they must play as a center forward for at least one game before the season ends.We have a very hectic schedule ahead of us and it would be wise to try Danny out as a center forward against a team like Wigan.
  13. Finally,Chelsea have a striker with a lethal left foot.
  14. My preferred lineup for tomorrows game- Cech Bosingwa Luiz Cahill Bertrand Essien Mikel Lampard Ramires Sturridge Drogba
  15. I agree.I used to live in Milton Keynes for some months and I used to have them at least thrice a week.Never got bored of them, simply delicious.
  16. Pork sausage sandwich+Nacho cheese flavored Doritos+Walkers salt and vinegars crisps+ Dr pepper+chocolate blueberry muffins=Win
  17. AVB tried too hard to gain the respect from his senior players.Giving them the silent treatment didn't help any of the parties and I am glad RDM is talking to everyone in the team and not worrying about the respect he IMO should deserve.
  18. I agree, the trust is mutual but the respect quite frankly isn't.If RDM decides to make a bold move of 'resting' the old guard then I am sure they will retaliate with pathetic performances.
  19. I don't know if I am the only one here who feels that some of our players like Lampard and Drogba don't really respect him or treat him seriously as a first team manager.I am no expert of body language but I can sense that they feel that he is just a short term solution to a huge problem. As a Chelsea fan and football fanatic,I truly admire his football tactics and democratic managerial side and would wish that he remains here on a permanent basis but its very unlikely that the board will keep him.Avram Grant did a wonderful job here but he was still shown the door and I think RDM will experience the same fate unless he can go on and do the impossible task of winning the Champions League. The only positive would be, to see a Chelsea manager leave the club on mutual consent and not get sacked.
  20. Chelsea fans have to make sure that Stamford Bridge will be as noisy as the Benfica stadium or heck even louder.Had to watch the game on mute.
  21. 30m+Raul for Cavani would be a very good deal for both sides.
  22. Deschamps is the man Roman needs to get,he is far more experienced than Blanc and unlike Blanc has played for Chelsea which shows that he knows a little about the club.
