WTF! Nobody posted anything about Mata?!! What a debut season for him in English football. First campaign and he has already won the FA Cup and Champions League. I'm extremely pleased for the little fella but goodness me, he should never be allowed to take penalties ever again! Including that one yesterday, he has missed 3 of his 4 penalties this season! That aside, Mata now has 12 goals AND 20 assists compared to Silva's 8 and 19 respectively...

Can't stand his stage hogging attitude last night!

He was at his imperious best yesterday. Made so many last ditch tackles, blocks and challenges and it's worth remembering we wouldn't be sitting down here talking about our Champions League success were it not for his goal-line clearance in San Paolo.

Mikel looks like a reborn or perhaps a new player under RDM. Don't think he has played this well consistently since he joined us. Long it may continue though.

Top performance from Cahill yesterday. Hasn't played in almost a month but looked comfortable and never really out of place despite playing in a major cup final for the first time in his career.

Actually thought he did nothing of note yesterday TBH. He hardly won any balls in the air and whenever Cech launched the long goal kicks, he just allowed Bayern to win it easily & let them to come at us again and again and again. That is till when he suddenly scored the goal and scoring the winning penalty. Since we won it, guess all is forgiven.

Calm down. Though his miss didn't prove costly, we could have lost it on another day. I nearly broke into tears when he missed and having to watch Bayern scored all of their penalties till Cech's save against Olic gave me hope!

Problem with the 200K p/w wages is that how would the senior players react to that? Let's remember, Hazard after all is still only 21. To be earning that amount of money right now is just pure crazy! And if we were to extend his contract later on, we would probably have to increase his wages and it might even near to 300K then. That would be just absurd especially with the FFP rules coming in.
