Thing with Cahill is he has proved that he can play at the top level with England while he was still at Bolton. Get all the points being made about Morrison but right now, I'm not sure if it is wise to take a risk in purchasing a midfielder like Morrison to solve our creativity problems. As you said, he could turn out to be a great signing or just another Sidwell. What we need right now is a creative midfielder who has proven himself at a much higher level than Morrison has, someone like Moutinho, Modric etc.

Yeah but like you said, he's not the solution to our creativity problems in midfield. IF he was an out and out defensive midfielder, then fine but he isn't. So, why do we need him anyway?

Signing an extension means nothing these days. Falcao left Porto for Atletico Madrid just weeks after he signed a new contract. He has been heavily linked with City with Mancini talking him up to the media before.

Judging by your description there, why would we need another that is similar to Ramires or even Essien?!

Agree with that. Couldn't care less if he plays for Stoke or not. At least he will be tested in a much stronger league and playing against better players than the ones in Denmark. All I remember is he kept on diving and falling over dramatically when we played Copenhagen in Denmark last year.

As much as he was in great form last season, I would say no. His best position is in the CAM role and we have enough players for that role. More importantly though, he's already 29 y/o. We should be looking to get players younger than that.

Not sure I would agree with that. They are well stocked in the wide areas and Rooney is United's main man to play behind the striker, which is the role that Hazard allegedly wants.

True but I just think with Hazard's dribilling skills, pace and trickery, he would be suited much more in the wide areas than in the middle. It's what we need and have been desperaely lacking for years now. And you can see that Mata doesn't have that kind of ability to beat his man when being played out wide under AVB.

Yeah but only problem is should we be wasting our time with Porto? They might not even want to sell him to us in the end. Even Moutinho himself said he wouldn't mind staying at Porto till the end of his career. Think it's best to get in all the wanted players ASAP so that the squad will be settled and get into gear when the season starts.
